Hey guyz, my phone's battery only charges upto 33%. I mean it shows this much when i almost fully charge it. And then from this, it races down to 15% in one hour and with 15% i can get a day.
The problem is that all the time, the red LED light keeps on. Since now i donot care about 15% low battery danger, i dont need the LED to be on.
So how can i Force Close it ? Maybe it might save more battery if led doesnt blink and wont annoy anymore.
Im on Cm7 latest nightly.

Well, in theory you could delete the driver for the led, or find where cm tells the battery to talk to the led and remove it. You should make a nandroid backup before attempting anything though. Or, you could get a new battery?

My wildfire s battery life is very bad.
When fully charged, the phone works for a long time without even 1% drop but when it goes down to 99% then battery began to discharge quickly.
Is there any way to solve this?
HTC is popular for having low battery life so it can't be blamed but
U can underclock it

solution
in my case, I left the phone to discharge and shut off completely. Then, with the last drop of battery juice, I powered it on into CWM recovery and went to advanced -> clear battery stats. Afterwards plug it and charge it to 100% (until the LED turns green), preferably with the phone off.
I know some say it's only a placebo effect, but in my case it makes my 806Mhz overclocked & automatic sync enabled phone to last around 35hours.
You dont want to empty battery in our wfs completely ever
Lition-ion batteries dont like full dischard and they tend to loose juice after that process
Good tip-never discharge your phone so you can't turn him on without charger
My battery life sucks, I think its the quality of HTC batterys, I need to go on eBay and buy a new one
Sent from my HTC_A510c using xda premium
my battery is doing the same, plus it never charges 100%, stops on about 90%, after few hours of charging it gets to about 91
I've never had any real problems with my battery life, but with the CM9 that I'm running as a daily at the moment, it just can hold up a long working day till I get home. Really annoying, but damn I like CM9 to much ! I hope that get's sorted quickly!

Agree with that,its quite correct.
Also guys try this...
-HTC checkin service apk...its a bigeest consumer next to wifi, cell, and display...amongst two top ones.
Do following:download rom toolbox or titanium backup or any similar app
here the links https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wxLDEsImNvbS5qcnVtbXkubGliZXJ0eS50b29sYm94Il0.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...DEsImNvbS5rZXJhbWlkYXMuVGl0YW5pdW1CYWNrdXAiXQ..
with this in app manager find that app...long press on it and choose FREEZE (u can unfreeze it later if you want)...also freeze the maps if not using them...etc...just DO NOT MESS with system apps if you dont know what you are doing.
I prefer Romtoolbox cause its all in one app...you can also wipe your battery stats from there as well...great app for root users...try it out
Hope i helped with giving some of you some ideas what can you do amongst other battery tips im sure you all know by now.
Enjoy
Battery calibration
if you use a custom rom you have to calibrate your battery with néma's battery calibration you can find it on the market .my battery last longer since i did it at any rom instalation
@Fikus011
I freezed those two apps with titanium backup.i wil report later about battery life.
Thanx for the info.
@TheKilLapops
I had already use battery calibration

So here's my problem:
About few weeks ago, my battery started to fooling with me. When I use it for Facebook, Twitter and normal web surfing, the battery goes down, fast, from 100% to 10% took only about one hour plus. Then I left it aside. Check it again after 30 minutes, the battery went up to 27%. So I think battery was miscalibrated so I tried to calibrate the battery using all the guides I can find on the net for weeks but none worked.
So what should I do? Should I change a new battery?
Did u try calibrate it properly, eg.. wait till its charged fully then wipe them. using an app from playstore is the best way. If u wipe stats when its not charged100% then it will start jumping percentages.

Standard batteries are terrible anyway. I couldn't do without my 3600mah one now.
As wedgess said, get an app for calibration. I use 'battery calibration' (simple enough) which works perfectly for me

Well try to underclock it and make the screen brightness lowest. Try to look at the battery stats too as you may have an app which is using a lot of resources of your phone. If you can live without your phone then switch it off completely, try to find the charger with highest mAh output (the higher the mAh output is the quicker it is charging), connect your turned off phone to the charger, make sure it's charging, leave it for 2 days charging like this and then disconnect it, boot it straight to the recovery, wipe the battery stats from recovery. If this is not going to help then I seriously have no idea what else you can do.

Phone's not overclocked, brightness is always low, I used it for texting my gf for whole day, played word search for a while and my phone left 50%, no data no WiFi nothing, When I turned on WiFi and keep using it, battery drops fast. Reached 4% I left it, went back to 16%, continue using, left 4 % again, left it again went back to 10%, then I used it till 4% again, now left 6%. Using stock charger but with different cable since my stock cable is broken. Is that related? If yes I'm going to get a new charger.

Thnx in advance

That is not a problem, happens in every jb Rom.
That is not a problem dude. Ours is a newer type of battery( I forgot the name).
In these kinds of batteries charging up to 100% actually damages the batteries. You must not charge your battery above 85% to be safe.
What manufacturers do is that, they implement hardware tweaks such that above 80%, the rate of charging becomes slower and slower.)you must have experienced it) ..
As an additional step to this, devs, even cyanogen, puts the green light the moment the battery reaches 90%. This may not of much help, but it does motivate some people to take the phone of charge.
Of course, this was a hell lot of extra information, but anyways, know that it is not a problem

Hello guys,
You might not know me, but i'm new to the Desire HD forums. I just bought one from a friend and i realy love the device.
Anyway,
I thought i might aswell root it. So after 3 hours, i finally managed to root my Desire HD/ace.
While flashing This Rom, 4EXT recovery said i had 50% battery left.
After flashing, and booting, the Device said that the battery was 95% full?
Is there something wrong with my Radio?
Thanks in advance,
TheRinseM.

Radio has nothing to do with battery (at least as far as spikes; I suppose a more inefficient radio could drain more battery). Did you full wipe before flashing? How old is your battery?
No the flashed ROM's on our Desire HD particularly ICS and JB have a problem with Battery %. Sometimes you can get random falls and a reboot will usually put the % right again. If you charge to 100% overnight then go into recovery and reset battery stats it can help.

Mine has the drunk battery too. I really have no idea what the battery percent really is ever, but it never runs out before getting down to 0% so at least I have some reserve. I have the original battery in mine.

wipe battery stats in recover, I think.
Did not work. Stock and cm10.1 it's the same no matter what I try. I "calibrated" the battery several times. Has no effect. I guess the battery isn't as bad as it first seems because after it gets below reading around 40% it drops slower the lower it gets. 1% will last another half hour screen on time playing a game.

New battery may fix this. I had this jumping around issue a few months ago irrespective of the ROM and it turned out the battery was dying.
My next step is a new battery when I have the money. That's what I think is the problem as well.

With screen on it can go from 100% to 45% in like half an hour or less iv think. Once below 40% it lasts a while. I can get a day out of it moderate use. Should be good once I replace the battery.

Wipe ur battery stats, drain ur battery then charge uninterrupted till its full, drain and charge again so that max and min battery levels are well calibrated. A battery app like battery doctor will help keep ur battery in giid shape.

Perhaps is there another reason. When you install a new rom, you must wait several cycles of charge/discharge to have a good battery life.
So, interrupt his charging cycle isn't the best way for battery life. And yes, you must wipe your battery stats to.
Now my battery died, when i plug charger, sometimes led blink 2 times with red light, and it's over. I will replace it. I pray for battery issue, not motherboard. What do you think about this problem?
I had the same issue under Sense 5 roms.
With the phone on and charging I never reached more than 60% of battery even using battery optimizer.
The solution for me has been back to a 4.2 AOSP Rom (ICJ in my case) and a couple of cycles again my battery works as usual.
I tried again with a S5 rom and the issues are back, so I have to use no Sense 5 roms if I want my battery right.
You can also try to charge in Recovery, that worked for me, to wake the bootloader.
Hope this would be useful for you.
Cheers.
PD. Sorry for my english
Have you tried a stock sense 5.0 rom?
PS. Maby we have the same HOX cause of same problems
I´ve tried ARHD & MaximusHD, both with Stock kernel and Alex-V S.E. 2.1

This week i found something that seemed to be a issue like the one reported here. My phone goes without battery before i got to sleep. I got my phone to charge on the Wall charger (HTC OEM). When i woke up i figured out that my battery only charged up to 15% (Froze at 15%)
It is the second time this has happened since the Sense 5 update (OTA Update).
Never happened before.
