Switched from spotify this afternoon. Been waiting years for this.

I seriously think Google forgot to add a "Remove From Library" feature for the app.
On the browser verison I can add an album to the library, then remove it.
On the app if I add an album to the library there are no options anywhere to remove it.
Or I am blind
I love it

I'm debating on getting it. It sounds like it will be worth it.
I'm am seriously digging this new update. Switched from spotify immediately plus I'm locked in at $7.99/month... $2 cheaper than the competition. I was always seriously annoyed by spotify's playlist layout, lack of landscape orientation, and overall ugly UI. Now my library and streaming/radio service are all in one app and the sound quality is pretty damn impressive...Win

The keep on device downloads are infuriating.. They either error out and say will download later, download a decent amount of songs then just stop downloading anything... Glad the first month is free... I have 3 songs left to download but it just got stuck 10 minutes ago and hasn't finished anything.. I'll have to force stop the app and restart it now
Im in Jamaica I tried accessing it via VPN and no luck
I haven't tried downloading anything, but so far I'm loving it. Much awaited ui update for the music app, plus awesome on demand music. There's a few quirks but over all impressive and fantastic job.

The All Access radio station generated playlists blow away Slacker (or anyone else) out of the water. Slackers radio was awful.. If you say.. Started a "Pearl Jam" radio station. You'd hear nothing but Jeremy and every other radio friendly hit song they had 10,000 times.
Google Play All Access. I just started a Pearl Jam radio station and the first song was Can't Keep off Riot Act.. This song is never played anywhere..
FINALLY.. DEEP PLAYLIST STREAMING RADIO!
Just start The White Stripes radio station and the first song was Truth Doesn't Make A Noise off De Stijl..
Incredible playlists...

Just now starting Neil degrasse Tyson's Space Chronicles.

Well, I finished an audiobook called Ready Player One, by Ernest Kline (i think).
Read by Will Wheaton even.
Grea book, lots of fun
Check out "Wool" in the Kindle store, series of 5 novellas that are pretty intense.
Game of thrones had been the best series I've read in a long while. Terry pratchett takes up a huge section of my bookcase.

Thanks for the suggestion. Just downloaded the series and will post thoughts later.
I read Anthony Bourdain's Kitchen Confidential as it was on sale at the Play store and I am pretty interested in cooking. Really good book, definitely recommend it if you are interested in cooking or the restaurant business in general.
Bought the Hunger Games trilogy for my wife and currently reading it now because I was curious' I'm on Catching fire right now. They are okay so far.

My first response is always Sherlock Holmes for mystery, Hound of the Baskervilles is one of the best and should be free on Google Play.
Let me stew on this for a bit, but I have heard some great things about the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy.
Edit- More horror than thriller, but I loved Horns and Heart Shaped Box, both by the amazing Joe Hill.
All of the circle series books by Ted Dekker are great. He also has another series that falls in with the circle series called The Lost Books. There's 6 of those.

Lol. Well, it's difficult without knowing what you like. Have you read The Hunger Games? That's a nice fast read, pretty exciting too.
Nexus 7 Used Guide is a good one for you guys to read . Jkjkjkjk
I read way too much, although some books are just that good. Anyway I don't know how old you are or what genre exactly your looking for but mystery/ thriller. Actually tell me what your looking for and in that genre do you care/like if its gory. If your looking for ya books I can recommended some. I read most genres except romance and hardcore SciFi. I'll think of some good authors. Right now its been top ten for a few months is gone girl by gillian Flynn, but her other books imo are much better like dark places . Another decent thriller that's been pretty popular lately is cj Lyons books the FBI thrillers.

Try kindle. Works very well and there are often offers. I've just read on exsellent book by Ken Follit 'Eye of a needle' which I found on the kindle store for 20p (UK). These offers tend to be 'one-offs' and disappear very soon after they appear. Search 'mostpopular'
Definitely a +1 for the Game of Thrones series (I'm halfway through the third book and it's just getting progressively better). I also strongly recommend the Hunger Games books and the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (as previously mentioned). If you like crime fiction then James Patterson's 'Alex Cross' series is a good, light, read.

I beat normal lol focus on transmission and do t worry about lethality till it spreads everywhere then crank it up and watch em go lol
O.k this is kinda cool, fun to play when you're in a destructive mood! Only played 3 times lost twice on normal but wiped out the world in 540 days on casual
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
Have it on iOS but on the iPod it was just too hard to play. Nexus is perfect size.
The trick on the first level is devolve symptoms immediately when they mutate until the entire planet is infected. Store up as much DNA as you can so you can become lethal as soon as you decide to pull the trigger. I had 124 DNA points when I decided to start killing everyone.
Game is superb fun. Great music too.
I've bought a few in-game purchased to help me along, the best one is to auto-pop the bubbles. I've been able to decimate the globe on casual after only playing it about 5 times, I just can't beat it on normal. Its either that I make it too lethal before it spreads everywhere or I make it spread everywhere and kill half to 3/4 of the population but then they cure it.
The game also annihilates my battery, I'm running Clemson's elite kernel and when I have the game fast-forwarded it takes up so much power that even when I have it plugged in it won't charge the battery but just sustain the current level and maybe decrease it by one or two percent!

I was trying to be sarcastic. The app is terrible on my devices (Galaxy nexus and nexus 7). I have a hundred or so apps on the 'cloud' from Amazon. Browsing the list and trying to install them is like pulling teeth. It's slow and not responsive. Button presses offer no feedback and seem nonfunctional most of the time. Is it not like that for everyone else?

+1 laggiest apply in a long while.
Amazon free apps have been crappy. I still take a minute out of the day to check it just in case. Every once in a while, something good comes around. Audubon birds was a big score for me a few months ago.
I do wish you could "purchase" without having to download, even though install is optional, still uses space.

I can't believe Google has evolved so much in a relatively short time and taken up such a huge portion of my life! They have always been one of my favorite companies, and now they may be at the top. I've used their search engine as long as I can remember, of course it's my fave. They give me a free minimalist browser that even my ****ty old HP laptop can run. I bought a Google phone and fell in love with Google's mobile OS, that's free too. Then Google thinks, hey, lets automate search.. And they give me Google Now! Baked in is the best damn mobile voice recognition system I've ever used. I cant believe Google was able to pretty much master the art of talking to a phone, I seriously ask my phone several questions a day, and do it around people with confidence that my phone will understand me and speak back relevant information. It does. Throw in all the different "cloud" storage options they have for free: gmail, contacts, voice, g+ instant upload, drive, etc.. I love Google. I'll never have to enter my contact numbers in a phone again. I have to pause, smile and reflect on that for a second. Or how about freaking satellite pictures of the earth wherever you want, or 360 views from the street. All free again.
Google isn't perfect, sometimes they make me throw my hands up wondering wtf they are thinking, he'll sometimes I complain about it to other XDA members thinking the same things. I know Google makes good money off us (and businesses) through its services.. But from the consumers standpoint, Google offers an almost infinite plethora of options for FREE DOLLARS. And since Google is moving towards all those services being much more tightly integrated, I can't wait to see what they have in store for the future!

Considering that the OS has been around for a bit over a week I'm amazed at how many apps ARE compatible.
If you have mission critical stuff, by all means go back to or stay with 4.2.x until the specific developer updates.
Otherwise enjoy the new OS and be patient. The good Devs are on it...

This is the price we pay for being the very first to get these updates. I don't mind it myself but for those that are bothered just wait for a free weeks before upgrading next time to give the app devs time to catch up.
