Thinking of buying Zero Lemon Battery- How thick is it? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

How much thicker does it make the phone? I have a Hyperion 4200mAh battery and that makes my phone pretty thick, and I'd imagine the 7000mAh battery is even thicker...? If someone has had both and could compare that'd be great.

There is the video I watched on the battery.

There's a huge review thread on the Zero Lemon in the Accessories forum, you might wanna check it out

It's no thicker than the Hyperion battery. All my friends and I have switched to the zero lemon with no regrets. Guaranteed two days usage even with a heavy user.

ZeroLemon does not make this guarantee. If you are making this guarantee, how do I file a claim with you, because my ZeroLemon does not last two days with heavy usage.
There are some days I barely make it a day. I'm not dogging the battery because it's amazing, but I don't think I would get 48 hours unless it was light use.

its a hair larger than if you had an otter box on it. I've had it for about 3 weeks and I charge the phone once every 4 days with medium usage. its awesome

Dude have you done a calibration yet? Do you follow the steps for proper discharging and recharging? Including myself there are more than a few people on this website that can get two days easily with heavy use. with light to no use at all 4 days is no special trick. That's average. I'm not trying to be an ahole so forgive me if it comes off that way. But it seems to me that you need to check your basic settings and look into recalibrating. Most people can get 10 to 18 hours out of the stock battery with extremely light use so there is no reason you should be burning up 9300mah in one day unless all you do is play need for speed or heavy games like that and even if you do, you should still get at least two days easily with no complaint. Worst case you may have a defective battery. Just send it back and you will get a new one in about a week. Those guys are awesome with replacements. Good luck to you friend.

Best Extended Life Battery?

Does anyone have any recommendations to a good extended life battery? I would prefer one that isn't so bulky but I want really good battery life. Battery Life is more important to me but a balance of bulkyness and battery life would be good.

Careful...
I read on a previous battery thread that this company gets poor reults. The other thread posted a site that had testing results for a bunch of battery manufactures.... I would google it.
On the other side it's only $9 bucks so may be worth it even if it ends up being a 2nd battery.
As for external chargers they are all over Ebay for dirt.

yeah that price is very sketchy. the cheap eBay extended batteries have proven to never be even close to the advertised capacity. sometimes they turned out to be even less than the stock batteries. I'd expect the same out of this one seeing as legitimate extended batteries usually range in the $30-50 dollar range.

I read that thread as well but it was for the hero. For whatever some aftermarket batteries perform differently on different platforms. I just ordered a trexcell and can review it later. I hate that reviews only come out after the break in period. No one else does long standing reviews.
I plan on trying the andida one next round if the price goes back down.

Here you go. I purchased one of these for my 3D and 2 for my ET4G. I'm getting 30+ hrs with moderate to heavy usage. Definitely on par with the Seidio but at half the cost. It does add a bump and some weight to the phone but IMO it actually makes the phone feel more solid. It feels cheap with just the stock battery.

Here is a good battery setup i use!
I have had very good luck with this setup...
http://www.amazon.com/Hyperion-Spri..._1_5?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1333305053&sr=1-5
With it being 20.00 you just cant go wrong... 2 BATTERIES, WALL CHARGER and it performs way better than the stock batteries. I charge them from the wall charger and when i install the battery it actualy stays at100% for over 30 minutes of use before i see 99% and 98% just amazing. this pic i posted is from heavy use with the battery. Im ALWAYS on the phone lol. Also I always have my brightness at max!
I have the traxcell extended battery and its worth it. I love that I can still have a case for it
I have tried the extended batteries and have never been impressed. I just ordered the amazon batteries/charger deal suggested by davidstjohn1.
I seldom get through a day without changing my battery at least once. I figure since I paid a premium price for the Galaxy II I may as well enjoy the beauty of the screen. I got rid of the screen protector too and use rain-x on it which works great.
http://www.amazon.com/Trexcell-Sams..._1_2?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1333320158&sr=1-2
This is cheaper and eliminates the need to switch batteries, and I think it makes the phone a good weight. To each his own tho.
Also whats the point of the rain-x, to reduce finger prints?

There is also a nice TPU cover made to fit the extended profile. I am tempted to get it but then again I have no issues with the stock battery. But I never use 4g.

I also have the tpu cover. The back that comes with it is slippery so the case is a must for me. I had never dropped my phone before I put on the extended battery, then I dropped it twice that week. I ordered the case and have been fine since.
Right now I am at 17% with being on battery for 1d 10h on codename ROM. Sooooo worth it
Now it all comes back to me. I like the Samsung TPU cover and the one I got with my extended battery was a slippery POS. There is also the fatter profile. I like the lighter thinner look (as I wish my meat body was).
Rain-X is THE best solution I have found for fingerprints. Only works on glass though. I tried it on my Gtab first and now use it on my Galaxy S and even my eye glasses. I live in New York City so don't have/need a car but I once treated my windshield before a drive in the rain from LV to LA and didn't have to use the windshield wipers once - the raid just blew off.

Video Review: Mugen Power 4000 mAh Extended Battery!

Hey guys,
I finally got my hands on the Mugen power 4000 mAh extended battery, which I know a lot of you are eager to check out! Within the package you'll receive the battery and the back cover. The back cover fits great and looks fantastic, the textured coating is comfortable and grippy. It includes a kickstand which is loose and pretty terrible to be honest. As for the battery performance, watch the video below for full info:
Thanks for the video. It was well done, I enjoyed watching it.
How many cycles have you gone through? I'm wondering if the lackluster performance was due to the battery not bring broken it.
I have the Hyperion battery. If I were to spend a premium on an extended, I think I would rather get the Seidio over the Mugen. No crappy kickstand and the Seidio also looks like it fits in the hand better.

Thanks for the kind words! I ran 4 cycles the day I received it plus another 3-4 when I was in New York City. I'm still going to keep using and going to run my test again after 20 cycles or so and see if that helps (and get back to you guys).
A buddy of mine has the Seidio, I like the soft touch coating but it feels cheap (for example, the Seidio logo scratches off SUPER easily). However, it's half the price, so you really can't compete with that.
Hope my video helped out!

Sweet! Now that you know the 'truth' and you won't be surprised, you should be relatively happy with the product.
It's over 4000 but honestly, why cant manufacturers do what motorolla made to RAZR? even Galaxy Note not use all space under the cover..
Great review! Thanks for posting. I too think its a bit on the expensive side considering the 3800 is like 30 dollars less. Mugen really seems to be asking a lot for something that is testing less than expected for a premium price. With that said, i do wonder how well the back door would fit on this particular case. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aluminum-Me...976685?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item231a1d336d

Hmm..seems like it would fit. I had a similar setup on my Galaxy S II, where I used the Mugen 3200 mAh Battery with the SGP Neo Hybrid EX Bumper. Worked pretty well.
lovely battery, thx mate
Great review! I bought the cheap 3800mAh battery and it only lasted for about 5 hours and 15 minutes playing video with the screen on. I plan on running the 2100mAh battery to compare. I was wondering how this one was in comparison and now I know. I don't think it is worth $100 for that type of performance.
I loved the kickstand on my Momax 2700 battery for the Vibrant and that appealed to me on this one. Great to see before ordering one that it is so poorly made.
Thanks again for the great review.

Yeah, definitely. It's not worth the price tag. My contact there emailed me and is sending out a new kickstand/cover, he thinks mine was just a faulty cover, we'll see.
Will keep everyone updated on that.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I received the Mugen Power 4000 mah extended battery yesterday. I will report back on the results once the first charging cycle is complete.
I was able to use the battery for a bit yesterday...
It averaged about 1 hour 15 min of display time with pretty heavy usage ...and only a 20 percent battery drain. Stock battery would have drained 30-35 percent in same time.
I will follow up soon.

Mugen Extended Battery (Lots of Pics)

Hey guys,
Just got the mugen extended battery in the mail. Their regular shipping somehow took longer than 3 weeks and I still have not received the item, so I asked them to reship using FedEx. Guess what, it took 2 days to get to Richmond Hill, Canada, which is just north of Toronto.
Anyways, just though I'd upload some high quality pics with measurements so if any of you guys are planning on buying it, you guys have a sense of how things ll look when you get it.
Feel free to update this with your own pictures.
Update 1: More pictures of battery on phone. Post #10
________________________________________________________________________________
After using this for some times, I believe I can give a rather full rounded review of this case
Make and Looks:
After looking at the pics below, it is definitely safe to conclude that if you cannot stand additional bulk to the galaxy nexus, this extended is definitely not a recommended, as it does double the thickness of the phone. Also, this battery is not for those who are seriously concious of the way their phones look, as this is, to be honest, not the best looking extended battery pack out there.
HOWEVER, if you are like me, and enjoy funtion over form, it would be my pleasure to say that this battery is definitely recommended. The back casing of the Mugen Power battery mimicks the back of the galaxy nexus to provide users with enough grip so as to reduce the slipperiness and possibilities of drops. Also, the battery which is rated at 4000mah does add some weight to the phone, which to me is a great addition as it just feels that the phone is more secure in my hands with the added weight. The battery, when installed on the phone, depicts the resemblence of a humpback whale, which not to say is ugly in anyway, it is simply Unique. The kickstand is a bit flimsy, but that is just an additional use of the new backing to watching movies and videos, so can't complain there.Lastly, the camera holes are perfectly cut out for the 5MP camera, it does not affect picture quality in anyway, but does take away from the original good looks of the phone.
Usage
To be honest, the GNEX isn't among the top performing android handsets in the battery department. Getting through a full day with my full usage has always been a problem, no matter what brightness setting I set. Battery times for me has always been 13-16 hours with 3-4 hours standby, and that is already after using franco kernel and aokp.
Now, with the Mugen Power battery, I can say this: I have a GMAXXXXXXXXXX. The battery after 3 - 5 charge cycles is AMAZING! Unlike other cheap extended batteries, I would say that mugen lived up to their name, as this battery is more than what they described as double my battery life. With it, I get by two days with super super super heavy usage including a ton a gaming, videos, and auto-sync and wifi on 24/7. That is around 2 days 3 hours with 7-9 hours screen on with the screen at around 50% brightness!!
Would I recommend?
Yes, I would definitely recommend this extended battery to anyone out there. If the price of said Mugen Battery is within your acceptable budget limit, there is no other battery that compares to what Mugen is delivering. And as the old saying goes, "You get what you payed for".
Thanks for this, please post back your results

Yes it's because of the cut. I could probably cut a little more to make it more streamlined.
The seidio with NFC has a soft touch battery cover. It matches the case and feels great in the hand.

Thanks a lot for the link..and the battery shown also looks the same, but don't you think it is a bit costly when compared to the product that I listed in my first post including the pay for fast delivery?

Did anyone use this battery? If yes, please share your user experience. It is pretty cheap for a 5000 mAp battery considering Mugen's 5400 mAp battery's price.

I'm EXTREMELY happy with my 5,000 maH battery (please note: not the one discussed in this thread).
I've just left a lot of feeback on this other battery thread:

This battery is really good?
Very big fan, and I won't often stick my neck out on such matters. I used my phone a lot today (although not my craziest of usage days) and I was on 81% at 7pm. I told my girlfriend (whose iPhone was dead) but she didn't care at all

I bought the same battery, but with me the back cover does not stay on. I hear some clicks and one side seems to fit ok, but the other side keeps popping out. Anyone had the same issue? Anybody maybe has a spare back cover that fits on the 5000 maH battery?

Same issue with my friends phone.
Battery works just fine , but the cover won't click in properly.
I have one of the hyperion extended batteries, it works great but make the phone look like a turtle, spoils all the benefit of the nice slim design the note has going for it. However, it does sit better in the hand though. I use it occasionally, like on some days when I know I'll be out using my GPS and data heavily and still I have like 40% remaining. Does not double the battery life but more like 1 2/3 good thing is I can use my phone heavily for the entire day and not wonder if I will have juice remaining.
i'm planning to buy a new battery. i will remember of this 5000mah. thank you.

I do own one! This battery rocks!
Tremendous Capacity! It lasts 2 days with ease (with minor use) :good:
Believe me when I say this, but this battery is DEFINITELY worth the money!
Something else that you should pay attention (very important!) is the quality of the cover, since it is unique with your battery and there is no replacement!
I used another battery like this before with a "sweat" kind of plastic cover and with no side stand. Bigger cover, more difficult to handle, which I was forced to remove afterwards, due poor quality and increased wear.
THIS SPECIFIC cover, is covered by an excellent quality and increased strength!
It is surely a good buy!
