Basically, I want to take the circle battery (animation and all) from the latest version of ParanoidAndroid and put it on AOKP. How would I go about doing this?
Im not a programmer or something, but i thought that wasnt possible :S But maybe someone can tell you otherwise
The CM circle battery (PA is using CM's battery) is done entirely in code. So it is going to be a bit of work to get it to work.
Since all of this is open source, the best way to accomplish porting of features is to do it from source. You would probably have an easier time picking the CM battery from a ROM that uses ROM Control, as both PA and CM don't use ROM Control. Xylon and Rootbox both have this I believe, and both have RC or their version of it at least.
Import drawable from PA and replace into AOKP systemui.apk
Use AOKP's circlemod option
Use theme manager with theme that use this drawable
Mod SystemUI.

I'm not sure if battery mods will work on AOKP or not? If they can I'd love to see a few more choices added. Especially the Glowing Crysis one.
In the past I know it was just a matter of going into the UOT kitchen and adding the Framework.res apk, but that doesn't seem to work with AOKP.

Been running it for a lil while now and so far so good. I paired it up with imo's 4.1.0 jb kernel and its smooth as silk and very responsive. Can't wait to see what you have in store brotha. Thank you

Well its official. My time spent developing for android has come to an end. I have been through hell and back, lost it all. Now I am trying to get **** in order after the wreckage. I need an android device bad. Nothing better to get your mind off of **** than sitting and staring at code for a few hours. I hope I can get my hands on another nexus so I can get back into it.
When that happens, be looking for the next best rom out there. I got nothing but time to sit and stare at the damn computer and can't wait lol!

I have always wanted to use this aside from the circle mod which is awesome but I'm a little tired of it.
I've tried just putting the images in the Systemui.apk under res/drawable-xhdpi but does not want to display each percent...
also tried just putting the skinny png's from the cm10.1 systemui.apk and using the option icon with text but it doesnt look right...
at a loss here, i really want the thin batt w/ percentage from the cm roms ported to aokp as an option or if someone could tell me which part of the rom in cm is it that has the perfect precentage along with the pngs. thanks in advnace for all your replies!

Hi folks,
I've recently ported from S2 running CM10.1 nightly to N4 with stock rooted and I'm missing some nice mods / hacks from CM, such as right swipe of notification bar to see settings and left swipe for notifications, long press on settings from notification bar to go for certain settings like WiFi and more.
Does anyone know if such ports from CM10.1 are available for flash to a rooted stock?
If there a list of such ports, I'll appreciate a link.

With nexus devices, people don't really bother modding the stock rom, as aosp is perfectly stable on the n4 and identical to the stock rom anyway.

Yup no reason it shouldn't.
Edit: actually on second thought, no it might not. AOKP's MMS has tie ins to frameworks now that this may not have. Feel free to try but keep a backup
