Review of Cruzerlite N2 TPU cases w/pics!!! - General Accessories

This is a review of Cruzerlite TPU cases designed for N2: http://www.cruzerlite.com/cases/samsung/galaxy-note-ii?limit=30
Cruzerlite is probably one of those case companies that doesn't need much introduction. Although being around for a few years, they already established themselves with a series of unique TPU cases and a fanbase of loyal customers. For me this was the first time I got a chance to test these cases. One might say what so special about another TPU case? When it comes to Cruzerlite it's their Personality. These cases have unique design, often centered around Andy the Android character. But looks will only take you so far without actual quality behind it. So here is how it stacks up.
First case I looked at is called Andy Circuit Persona. It has a very unique printed design of Android character surrounded by electronic circuit traces. The print itself looks very durable and embedded into the case coating which feels scratch resistant, something you can count on staying bold and visible for a long time throughout wear and tear. The case itself, surprisingly, made out of a very durable thick TPU material which actually feels like it will be able to absorb a noticeable shock if dropped. Sides of the case snugly wrap around the phone and provide a nice lip to keep your display off the surface if placed screen down. Outside the case has a very smooth texture with a nice grip that feels secure in your hand. All the cutouts are precise and perfectly aligned. Also, power/volume buttons are exposed through a cutout and easily accessible. Typically I would not recommend TPU case as something that can give you a piece of mind if you drop the phone, but this one is an exception and I feel like it will give you a little more confidence if dropped.
The second case is from their Androidified Case series which is a specific Bugdroid Circuit model. This one features Andy the Android in the middle surrounded by etched out traces of electric circuit. This is a very unique design because you can actually feel etched out traces both outside and inside of this TPU case. The case itself is semi-transparent and feels great in your hand with an extra grip due to the etched out lines. Just like Andy Circuit Persona, it wraps around the phone, providing an acceptable lip to protect the screen from touching the surface when placed display down, and has all the precisely aligned port openings. Power and Volume buttons have cutouts for easy access. I would say Andy Circuit Persona will offer a better shock protection, but this one is still not bad and should provide you with a decent grip to avoid dropping your phone and some protection in case if you drop it. Also, both cases are smooth enough to get in and out of the pocket easily without pulling on any material.
Overall these are very nice looking TPU cases for everyday basic use. Of course what makes them stand out is the original design with its friendly Andy the Android in the middle. Also, cases have a very reasonable price without sacrificing the quality. For those who like to change their N2 cases on a regular basis and looking for a unique design, Cruzerlite line of TPU cases is definitely something to consider.

OK, so this was totally unexpected. Cruzerlite is well known for their cool TPU cases with Persona of Andy "the android" character. But do you guys know they have a line of plushies, the collectible Andy plushy toys?!? http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_s...rlite+plushies&sprefix=cruzerlite+plu,aps,168
I just got one for review, and this thing is super cute. At first I thought to give it to my kids, but then I realized I want to keep it for myself. This one is Persona of Andy with a clear belly to put your Jelly Beans (get it?) in there http://www.amazon.com/Cruzelite-Personas-Andy-Jelly-Collectible/dp/B008GQ1OCI/
Here are some pictures of this cool Cruzerlite collectible toy:

Those cases look pretty cool. Green one would be my choice. Wow didnt know they made plush Andy character. I must order some now. Thanks for the awesome review as always.

I forgot to mention it's actually of a decent quality, not some cheap toy you get in a dollar store.

I was thinking about getting one of these. I always switch between my cases but the only I have that is really thin on the sides is the seidio surface and it's boring looking.
Are these cases smooth? Do they grab at your pocket when you take them out?
And are they super thin on the sides? The only time I can actually reach each side of the screen with my thumb is if I have my phone in the surface or naked.

Very nice slim tpu case.... but I couldn't use mine (Androdified) becaise it lifts the corners of my screen protector. So if you have a flush to the edge type of screen protector and you are not willing to cut or change it go with body glove tpu. Alnost the same thin design but the corner has more room to fit with sp. Of course its a boring solid color

They are smooth, not sticky, and relatively thin on the side.

Thanks for the review and pictures!! I've got 3 of their Androidified TPU Cases for my Evo LTEs. The smoke color looks really nice, the red color looks awesome (looks good on my black one, but really stellar on my white one!), and the clear was great for about 1 month. Around that 1 month mark though, the clear started yellowing and will NOT come clean no matter how I try to clean it!! It's so bad I won't even use it on either my black or white Evo LTE! I think I'm gonna go ahead an try one of their TPU cases for my Note 2. I always buy WAY too many cases for every phone I get, and always say I'm not going to for my next phone but always do, lol. Anyways, thanks again for the review and pictures!!

I have this case on my Note 2 (a red version) and I have some observations:
The cutouts are large -- meaning I can use my Samsung MHL-HDMI adapter without taking the case off. This is the only case so far I have tried that can do this. (Also used a Diztronic and stock Samsung case.)
The cutout on the headphone jack is a good size too and most cables plug in without issue.
The lip around the screen is quite large ..... this is good and bad. Good in that is will offer a lot of protection for face down drops. It is stiff and won't push off the screen easily. It also goes above the glass over 1mm I would say. (I had the Samsung case on my phone and it fell screen down, smashing the screen. The Samsung case has a very thin lip around the screen.) The bad is that it makes it slightly hard to swipe in from the left of right ... or get your finger to the far edge of the screen while cropping pictures.
You can feel the seams in the TPU from the manufacturing process...... it goes around the outside edge of the phone. The Diztronic TPU case is much better in this respect.... but the Diztronic offers less front glass protection .. and the cutouts aren't as big so you have to take the case off to use the MHL-HDMI adapter.

Just buy it. You will get the great case and support for the xda team.

The cases with Andy on the back are slightly thicker and more protective.

Incipio Silicrylic Review (Blue)

http://www.incipio.com/Samsung-Galaxy-S-III-Cases/Samsung-Galaxy-S-III-Cases.asp
Contents:
1. Phone Case
-Silicone rubber
-Acrylic
2. Screen cleaning clothe
3. Dry screen protector
Where purchased: T-Mobile Store.
Price: $29.99 + TAX
Review: I bought this case to hold out for maybe a Speck, Otterbox or Body Glove. But man I was impressed with the design. It feels very sturdy and tight on the phone, yet it is quite slim and easy to take off the case. With the acrylic, it slides in and out of pockets. But with the rubber on the sides it grips firmly in your hand.
Compared to Speck, like I said it's easy to take out. When I had a Speck candyshell on my HTC One X, I felt like I was going to break the One X anytime I needed to remove the case. This is essential as we have removable batteries and SD cards, so accessing the back is required.
Compared to Otterbox, it's thinner. The depth of this case is .49" measured with calipers.
I highly recommend this case. It looks very nice, feels great, thin and slides in and out of pockets. plus it comes with goodies like the screen protector and cleaning clothe. Along with the acrylic background, I plan on creating a Captain America Shield decal and using the blue area as the center of the decal.

Cons: Top and bottom parts of rubber are a little flimsy. But it makes it easy to hit the home button if you have big thumbs.
If anything goes wrong, I will update the OP.
EDIT: With the plastic backing, it's perfect to put a decal on.
Thanks for the pics...That's the best looking case I've seen so far on Pebble blue. Love how the grey blends with the front.

No problem. The great thing is that they're out now. Should be in best buys, T-Mobile stores, etc.
This blue one might be a T-Mobile exclusive since I could not find it anywhere else.
Do you have any pictures with the case on the actual phone? The pic you posted shows the camera not centered in the cut out, so I'm not sure if that's a real phone in the case or just a piece of cardboard .

From falls, acrylic is known to break. Speck Candyshell should be much stronger with the plastic material they are using. But it will protect for phone and get the job done. Plus there are some add on bonuses like the screen protector and clothe.
I chose it mainly because it looks the best, slides in and out of my pocket, and feels studry enough for my lifestyle. I work in a cubicle, not construction, trucking, etc.

Candyshell is very VERY hard to get on and off of the phone. Try and watch a video on how it attaches itself, the hard rubber and plastic are almost molded in together where is the incipio are two separate pieces.
So if you ever wanted to get your ext SD card out to transfer files, access your battery for battery pulls if you get a soft brick during flashing, the Speck will make it extremely difficult. I meant extremely. It feels like you are going to break your phone in half to get it off.
Thanks for the review.
I hope someone can do a side by side comparison/review of of the otterbox commuter and this.
After all that i've seen so far, i am down to choosing between the two for my needs.
Can't to seem to find the case with the colour in your photo on the website.. Hmm...
I thought I'd add to this thread since I have used the Incipio Silicrylic Dual Protection case on my new S3 over a busy weekend. After three days of use, these are my impressions:
PROS
Slim styling adds minimal bulk, while the two-piece design adds protection while adding sophisticated styling details
Excellent side-button covers give an accurate tactile feel to the on/off and volume toggle switches on the side of device - I can feel the case itself click with the button!
Smart, well-centered cutouts for all ports, camera lenses, etc. with no exposed plastic edges (all rubber or rubber-lined)
Nice - almost "rubberized" - feel to the plastic outer case with an almost aluminum look - so it feels AND looks sharp
The blue teal color is unique - Incipio doesn't offer it on their website, so it's probably a T-Mo exclusive (I picked mine up in a T-Mo store). And, uncannily, it just happens to be a perfect match for my VAIO EB "Iridescent Blue" notebook PC - not intended but a pleasant surprise that likely no one without an iridescent blue VAIO will likely care about.
CONS
Poor implementation of clear acetate screen protector - first, only one is included. Although the surface of the S3 is only subtly convex, it is enough for the edges of the screen protector to separate and float above the corners of the device. Additionally, the edges of the rubber shell will overlap some of the acetate screen saver, further "nudging" it off the screen.
Extra screen protectors are surprisingly unavailable from Incipio as a separate purchase
Minor point - extra outer or inner shells unavailable, so mixing colors is not an option (I'd think that would be a revenue generator for Incipio since the two-piece stylish design lends itself to some fun mix-and-matches)
CONCLUSION
In all, this is the best case I've had for a smart phone yet. Since the S3 - like the other Samsung S-series smart phones - uses Gorilla Glass, the value of the screen protector is questionable, but my Samsung S (Vibrant) was showing microscratches after 20 months of in-and-out-of-pocket use despite Corning's claims. If anyone has figured out how to use the screen protector, I'd like to know about it. Perhaps a slightly larger screen protector from another manufacturer (a true edge-to-edge) would work better with the Incipio shell.

No. It is thin. I sent mine back because it was so slippery in the hand, I felt I was at a greater chance to drop the device WITH the case on rather than without it. It felt like it was covered in baby powder or talc or something.

Wow - that is definitely not my experience. I have the Silicrylic DualPro but not the DualPro Shine - in case that makes a difference..
Looks a great case
I went and bought this case earlier. i will upload a few pics when the camera is charged. My case isn't as blue as the op's case though but it has the same sku on the back. I think it may be the lighting as mine's more of a teal color. Still a cool color though.
is the rubber part flexible easily on the sides once the hard case is on?
that was a problem with other incipio silicrylic cases. the rubber would move in your pocket cause it was too lose and lint/dust would get trapped between the case and the rubber.
i hope the response is that "it's nice and tight"
im really looking into buying this case.

It's not sloppy loose but it's not as tight as say the "body glove dimensions" case either. But then again, it's a different material. While the body glove it really tuff, this is really smooth. I like this one better.
Incipio SILICRYLIC in blue exclusively for T-Mobile USA.
The case is very, very nice. The soft material is very comfortable and a joy to grip. The plastic is also a great "soft" feeling material. I've jumped through 4 premium cases so far and this is by far the best one for what I want in a case. The only thing that stopped me from buying this in the 1st place, was the colors available on the Incipio site. The color of this one is more of a metallic teal than the blue that it looks in the pictures. I'd rather have the blue, but the teal is very attractive in person.
The case is $30 at T-Mobile (I snagged it for like $23). I would've payed the $30 though no problem. Cause I feel the case is way better than some that are priced higher.
The main thing about this case - It's easy to take off so I can swap batteries. This is a must for me as I've tried it with the speck case, the body glove dimensions and the case-mate barely there and this is by far the easiest to take off.
When it comes to protection, this is number 1 from the ones I've tried. And that includes the speck candy shell. The reason this beats the speck? Cause you seriously run a risk of cracking the gs3 screen while trying to remove it from the speck. And there should be no reason that a case, can make you risk breaking your phone while trying to do a simple task like removing it.
Some say "use a tool to remove the speck". Nah, I'll pass. If the 10 tools that I use daily for other jobs (fingers), can't remove the case, then the case is a p.o.s.
If the phone falls in this case, it has just as much of a survival rate as that of the candy shell, if not more... I have dropped phones from waist high with a Incipio feather on it and it didn't have a mark on it (gs2). I'm pretty sure that this case can do better. The candy shell, though it has a hard and soft material, is a lot less shock absorbing than this. The reason is the specks "soft material", isn't nearly as soft as this Incipio case. And for that reason alone, I feel there's a risk of less shock absorption with it than this case.. Drop a rock and a sponge and tell me which one does better...
Here's the pics.

What case should I buy? (Otterbox Commuter, UAG Case, SGP Neo Hybrid)

Hello guys, so I recently bought a AT&T i747 SGS3 and knowing how picky I am with my electronics I started to look right away for a case.
The case must not add bulk, must offer great protection against scratches as well as the case not scratching the phone in any way, must offer camera protection and must have at least a small lip on the front.
So far I have come across these 3 which are:
Otterbox Commuter
SGP Neo Hybrid
Urban Armor Gear Case for the SGS3
As far as the otterbox commuter, I had it on my atrix 4g and loved the protection it offered but a few months later it just gets old, attracts lint on the borders and overall takes the beauty and slickness of the phone but I must mention protection was great and that is the most important feature for me.

The SGP Neo looks very promising offering a good quality screen protector and overall a great case all around but what has me worried is the direct contact of the TPU with the phone, specially the camera area and bezel as opposed to the otterbox which has a rubber sleeve, I had a blackberry about a year ago and the phone scratched badly on the bezel from dust getting under speck TPU case and acting as sand paper.
The Urban Armor Case seems like a very well rounded case, offering some type of rubber/soft TPU inner lining on the inside and a very tough poly-carbonate shield on the outside. What I like is that both pieces are bonded together offering a seamless design but what worries me a little is the X pattern on the inside which seems to be part of the outer hard layer which goes all the way to the top of the camera/flash/mic opening which could potentially scratch those components down the line.
Which case would you recommend and why?
Other case recommendations are welcome.
I wouldn't recommend the SGP Neo Hybrid due to the issues regarding sensitive buttons which many/most people are experiencing.
To make things harder for you, I'd also recommend looking at either the Incipio Silicrylic or the Acase Superleggera.
Edit: I also hope you realize you're in the wrong device forum (but accessories are all the same so doesn't matter)

Otterbox no longer attracts lint.
Otterbox is the biggest and has the most sturdy feel to it.
UAG feels really good in the hand. Less slippery than otterbox.
SGP still has button issues. It is super thin but feels as sturdy as a gel case.
The speck case is nice.

.
I have the UAG & Neo Hybrid, both are going back.
UAG isn't bad at all, but I'm not a fan of the stiff buttons...that being said, the Neo Hybrid buttons are atrocious. I can't believe they even released this case with all the issues I've been having.
Will probably try the commuter case next, as people seem to be having less issues with the power button.
Hey guys,
I have all three cases. Hands down the feel and the buttons go to UAG. what r u guys talking about the UAG buttons feel crappy?'honestly they feel better then any case I have ever tried for the gs3. The protection , otterbox wins this by a hair. Look goes to sgp but its very thin, buttons feel like crap and you can't buy the plastic bands seperate.. plus customer support is crappy. I love sgp ultra clear screen protectors though..
I'm just giving my honest opinion and in very anal on cases.. the gf gives me verbal treatment for buying all these cases
Thank you guys for your sincere opinions, so far I am leaning towards the UAG in white. I never drop my phones or anything and they are always over some layer of rubber or cloth when out of my pocket but I know accidents happened and that is why I need a case to at least cover it from getting scratched or dinged.

I own, use, and recommend the DBA Cases Complete Ultra. It is both thin and protective. The inner piece is made of TPU, no scratching your phone. The outer piece is a flexible polycarbonate. The fit and finish are first-rate. Both sides of the phone are protected when resting on a flat surface.

i have this case and the otter box (defender and commuter)
i like the defender because it has a protective screen the protects the entire front screen... the bad, obviously the size.
I like the commuter because it doesn't bulk up the phone that much, a bit slipper though at the back.
the original front flip case looks the best... but offers the least protection
Get the Commuter case! It's add a little bit bulky but the protection was MAX! I did few drop test in front of my friends to show off. It's drop from about 1.2 meter height and the case and phone survive it. I would recommend UAG case due to special design..^^
Commuter = Max protection + Keep the round shape of the phone
UAG = Less protection than Commuter + Makes your phone a bit square + nice design & less slippery.
Final decision still yours. Both case almost at the same price(UAG at Amazon.com, now only 21.99!!). Grab one of this and you will not regret for it. If not, grab both cases..xD

I'm waiting for mine to get here, just ordered one myself. As for drop protection, I would assume it offers as much protection as the spg or uag cases, if not more. There's a DBA thread where there is a picture of the outer plastic part of the case being bent almost in half and it still doesn't break so it's got to be pretty tough. The otterbox is pretty much max protection as far as drops go but it is also bulkier than any of the others mentioned.

[REVIEW] Incipio Feather SHINE Case

My Incipio Feather SHINE case came in and I've been using it for a couple of days and decided to write up a full review. Let me know if you have any questions about it.
First thing is first, if the case doesn’t at least match the beauty and aesthetics of the device its protecting, you won’t get my approval. Thankfully for the Incipio Feather SHINE it is a minimalistic case with a sophisticated finish which certainly accentuates the HTC One’s design cues.
The shell case features an extremely thin and light profile with a brushed aluminum reflective finish on the back. The sides are transparent to show off the machined polymer on the HTC One and the cut outs fit perfectly around the camera, rear microphone and volume rocker. Small groves are in place for comfortable use of the 3.5mm headphone jack as well as the power button which doubles as an IR blaster.
There is a tiny lip which I would barely consider a lay on the table design but it may be enough for you if you plan on always laying your phone face down on a smooth flat surface, otherwise you better consider getting a screen protector. Overall the design of the Incipio Feather SHINE case is clean, fresh and form fitting. The brushed aluminum finish on the back provides a premium look and feel and enough of the phone remains covered while still showing off the magnificent design of the HTC One.
The build quality of the case is exactly what we’ve come to expect from such a recognized brand and Incipio certainly pays attention to detail when delivering products that shouldn’t just look good but offer protection from any unfortunate damage. As previously mentioned, the cut outs are done very well and no rigid plastic is left poking out that may damage your device. Every surface is sleek, smooth and wraps around your HTC One like a glove.
The Feather line won’t offer the best drop protection as it boasts a thickness of just 1.27 mm but its more than enough for protecting the phone from scratches on its aluminum frame. It is composed of sleek polycarbonate material which tends to attract some pretty nasty fingerprints on the finish that aren’t the easiest to wipe off so make sure to keep a microfiber cloth handy.
At a measly half ounce the case itself holds true to its Feather name and is by far one of the easiest to slip in and out of your pocket as well.
Its hard not to like the Incipio Feather SHINE if you’re in the market for a slim style case. It feels great in the hand and clings tight to your HTC One so there’s no danger of it popping out. The brushed aluminum finish gives off a modern and sophisticated feel which is great if you’re needing to protect your new investment while wanting to display a premium look. The case is available for $29.99 direct from Incipio’s website or you can find great deals on Amazon which is where I purchased mine from.

this case look good but it doesn't cover top and bottom of phone
True but it shows off the build quality so it's not necessarily a negative depending on how you look at it.
I ordered this yesterday. One of the best looking cases with low protection. When I need more protection, I use Incipio Dualpro -series.
Only drawback was high Ups cost. Normal was 7.9$ and express 17.9$.

Ouch! I got free shipping through Amazon for bundling it with a Spigen screen protector, they delivered it in 4 days.
I'm using the one with the soft finish instead of aluminum. It's pretty impressive and the feel is quite nice. Perfect fit too.

To be honest I intended to order the soft touch version but made a mistake. When I got the SHINE in the mail I was so impressed that I didn't bother sending it back lol
Just a heads up, I'll be dropping reviews of the rest of Incipios line up for the HTC One soon and will post links on this thread as well.
I have this case and its really nice however the silver paint on the back is already starting to peel and scratch off. Have only had it and the phone for about a week now so a little disappointed with it overall. I have not dropped it at all so I guess the scratches are just from dirt on a desk or table. I guess it is better than scratches in the phone though.

It is a gorgeous case, but I have also had a problem with the finish coming off. I received mine from Amazon yesterday afternoon and it's already on it's way to Incipio for a warranty replacement
Hopefully the next one will hold up better. If not, I'll just have to go for the soft touch. The feather is a great fit, and definately matches the phone in it's good looks.

How well is your replacement holding up? Was the first one you got just a bad batch?

I just received the replacement Friday, and there is already a small chip in the aluminum finish. I do love this case, but I just don't see a way to avoid the chipping. Even as careful as I am about setting it down, what I set it down on, and easily placing it in my purse or back pocket. If it looks horrible in a few weeks I will go with the soft finish case. Incipio is a great company and gave me absolutely no problem exchanging the case.

I'm thinking that the open top and bottom is best for transmission and reception.
That's crazy, who would of thought...
I ordered my incipio feather shine. . If I get the peeling chipping effect ill have it replaced with a softtouch one. Incipio has an excellent warranty.
I wish there was a case like the feather that had a low profile kickstand

I ordered mine a few months ago at launch. Came in the mail from amazon and looked awful out of the gate. Peeling, chipping, the finish feels cheap and your fingers/keys will dig into right away.
HOWEVER.
Rather than return it I simply peeled all of the gray finish off. Wow does this case look way better. It actually has a metal/aluminum look that makes it seem way way nicer than it ever did.
Did they ever notch out the charger port area on this case. I had one at launch, but there is no cutout like there is on the regular feather case for the charger. Forcing it to go in at an angle, and will likely lead to breakage, or very loose fitting cables in no time.
I sent it back and went with the regular feather instead. I prefer the feel of the regular one much more, and its about half as thick.

Review of UAG Navigator/Scout for S4 with lots of pics!!!

This is a review of UAG case for S4: http://www.urbanarmorgear.com/collections/samsung-galaxy-s4/
I hope other vendors received the memo: UAG finally shipping their S4 cases. Competition is over. Go home! Yes, it's true, just received my Navigator (white) and Scout (black) S4 cases, while Aero (blue) and Outland (rustic) colors are also available. For the last 6 months using it on my Note 2, this has been my go-to case whenever I'm using stock battery. I do have a lot of great cases in my collection, but this case has always been at the top of the food chain for me when it comes to overall protection, durability, and functionality while still being slim and sexy with it's unique industrial design. It also withstand test of time still looking like brand new after a lot of abuse, and that's considering my Note 2 UAG case is white Navigator.
With S4 case, UAG went back to their original design from S3 rather than new "vent" design introduced with larger cases of Note 2 and iPad Mini. This makes perfect sense since we are talking about a smaller footprint phone in comparison to other phablet and tablet. The design is still high quality feather-lite composite construction made out of single piece thermo-plastic material used for inner lining and edge protection and also polycarbonate shell for a tough exterior protection. The combination of honeycomb pattern partial inner lining of the back and unique raised shaped of pc shell in the middle works as a perfect shock absorption if you drop the phone. The edge protection with a thicker bumper around top/bottom of the phone wraps the screen with a nice lip around the front of the phone keeping it save off the surface if you place it screen down or if you drop it by accident. The phone will not slide on any surface, either if you place it face up or down. As I mentioned, front bumper will protect it from sliding face down, while the top/bottom bumper has small standoff skid pads on the back to keep the friction when you place the phone face up. The back of the phone is complimented with industrial design grooves accompanied by fake rubbery torx screw accents. The case itself has a very secure and comfortable grip, and still very easy to slide in/out of the pocket or purse.
Every cutout is precise and generous. You can especially see it in micro-usb and headphone port openings that will accommodate any reasonably over sized connector. Camera and flash openings are partitioned to make sure you photos come out glare free. Special attention was given to power and volume buttons that cover original phone buttons. Those look and feel very hardware like and because of small slit on a side, they are easy to press and very responsive. In addition to the case, you also get a bonus screen protector and microfiber cleaning cloth. I can't comment on the quality of screen protector since I didn't install it (I have a display model of S4), but in my hand it felt thicker than cheap ebay screen protectors.
Dimensions of UAG S4 case per my measurements:
Weight: 1.1oz -> 30g
Length: 5.5in -> 138.7mm
Width: 2.9in -> 72.8mm
Thickness: 0.48in -> 12.3mm
Overall, I would consider this one of the top contenders if you are looking for a slim and lightweight case with a really good drop protection, convincing lip bumper, and unique eye catching design. Now, let the pictures do the rest of the talking:

so tell me;
how pocketable is this case ?
that black rubber looks
1) like it can pull off easily
2) stretch easily
3) has a sort of.. 'stickiness' to it (lint magnet)

NO pull (just a bit around volume button and usb/speaker ports because its thinner rubber), NO stretch, NO stickiness. This is not silicone rubber typical for Seidio and other cases. This is more in line with smooth TPU material. This S4 case is identical to S3 case. You don't have to take my word for it, go to Amazon and see 4.75 star rating (for S3) out of 1,831 reviews. This is simply the top case!
How thick is the phone with case? in mm or inches.
Gah stuck between this and the neo hybrid now Haha. I love the look of the outland one.

ugly really? I think it's a sexy biatch

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder Telling this from a personal experience, it's 100% guarantee people will ask you about and will compliment you on your UAG case.
Btw, dimensions of UAG S4 case per my measurements:
Weight: 1.1oz -> 30g
Length: 5.5in -> 138.7mm
Width: 2.9in -> 72.8mm
Thickness: 0.48in -> 12.3mm
Regarding dropping face down. Any case dropped face down on uneven surface will have a problem if screen will come in contact. I have tempered glass on my N2 and will never go without it on any of my phones. That is the best way to absorb the shock if your screen comes in direct contact with outside object. Dropping your phone on a concrete or tiles or hardwood floor face down with UAG will protect the screen because you have a bumper lip to keep it away from direct contact. I took close up in my pictures to show it, and you can compare it with other phones I have reviewed (check the link in my signature).
a buddy of mine introduced this case to me a few weeks back on his (iphone) it looked soooo sexy i am definitely getting this for my s4
thanks for the review and pics :good:
I have this case for the iPhone 5 and its AWESOME!! Im pretty sure will go with this when I get my GS4. OP Thanks for thread/review and pictures are pure sex!!

Between matte finish outer hard plastic PC (non-slippery textured design) and smooth TPU sides (those will NOT stick to your pockets!!!) - its a perfect grip. It's easy in and out of the pocket, don't grab your inner pocket, and yet still gives you a decent hand grip. I'm not saying this is the ONLY case to get, there are a lot of other great cases as well. But this one is definitely at the top of the selection.

That's how it is with any new phone, you get a cheap case from ebay to hold you over while you take your time to research and to pick a better quality case. And when you will finally pick that perfect case, you will decide to get an extended double or triple capacity battery and have to use an ugly case with it or mod another another ugly case to fit it lol!!!
Oh yeah...I actually had an uag for my gs3.... simply the best case I ever had.
The peace of mind it gave is priceless. ..
so I can not think in another car but uag.

Diztronic Matte Black TPU case Review and Picture

So I just got he Diztronic Case for my new Nexus 5 today and here's my thoughts on it. I've been a Diztronic case user for sometime now; had it on previous devices such as my S3. One thing I love about Diztronic is that they are more substance than flash when it comes to their cases.
Packaging:
One thing you will notice when you get the packaging is that, well there isn't much to say as its in a plastic wrap, with a cardboard cutout placeholder for your phone. They spent the money were it needs to go; on the case itself.

Build Quality/Design
As expected from Diztronic, the case is a built top notch using a soft but firm flexible TPU material. It has a two tone appearance where the edge/frame is a shiny glossy black (along with the Diztronic logo on the back) where the rest of the case is a soft grippy matte black on the back and sides. A thing to point out is the nice feel the matte finish has. It almost feels like the Nexus 5 back without a case. It just feels good. One thing I like is that Diztronic did not plaster their name all over the case like some case manufacturers do. Just one simply logo at the back near the bottom.
The cutouts are all in the perfect location and aligned right. The cutouts for all ports/mics/speakers are spot on. One thing I would like to point out is the cutout for the headphone jack. It's bigger than other cases I've seen and I like that. It allows for headphone plugs off varying sizes to be used with our phone. Many times a plug will be too big to be used with certain cases and the phone would have to removed from the case to use said plug. The cutout is a large nice square cutout. So thumbs up to Diztronic for that. Also, the microusb port cutout is large also, allowing for oem and aftermarket micro usb plugs to be used. Which is really like as I have plugs and charges of all sorts of sizes around the house, bag and car.
One thing that did differ from the S3 Diztronic case is that there is no cutouts for the buttons; volume and power. I'm sure a lot of us went the super cheap route before and got a tpu case off of ebay with no cutouts and it was just plain misery trying to press the buttons. That was one of the big pluses for me on the S3 case and was doubtful and wary about no cutouts on the Nexus 5 case. Yet, Diztronic has pulled through and made pressing the buttons easy and nice even without the cutouts. The fake buttons on the case to mimic the buttons on the phone are very nicely designed and implemented. They actually look and feel like real buttons and not just some bump on the case like the cheaper tpu cases.
Another thing I liked is that the edges are raised to protect the phone if you place it face down on the table. So no scratching the screen when doing so.
Also, unlike the slim cases from Spigen and Ringke (other cases I considered) is that it has decent protection all the way around the phone. The slim cases protect the sides but not so much the top and bottom. Sure its a little bulkier and thicker but my mind is a little more at ease with the added protection.
Got the same case on my N5 as well. Had one on my EVO 4G LTE as well. Decent case all around. Nice review.

Yeah one of the better cases I've used on any device. Great customer support too, anytime I had an issue they always were quick and courteous.
Thanks for the review. My phone slipped out of my hand today and I was able to catch it with my foot before it fell the rest of the approx. 6 inches to a tile floor. The back cover popped open a little bit, but it was otherwise unscathed. I took that as my first and only warning from the phone Gods to put a case on it so I just bought one of these based on your review.

yeah I always recommend a case. I don't like otter boxes or tank sized cases but I do like a medium between super slim and otterbox. I'm sure you'll like the case!
How much of the screen does the edge/lip of the case cover? Any use this with a screen protector?
Covers very little of the screen. I am using with with the spigen ultra crystal with no problems. I think it's a much more functional case than the official bumper.

The skinomi screen protector I got has 1mm margin to the edge of the screen so any case lip that covers more than 1mm will start to push on the protector.
Would you say the it covers 1mm or less of the screen?
Yes, I think that's accurate

I'm curious as well about the case pushing against the screen protector. I would like to know if the case causes the screen protector to lift away from the screen. This is a problem I have with the spigen.

No its not hard to take off... I don't go side to side... I go from bottom to top. So insert the bottom of the phone first then the top. Yeah i was worried about the revisions but Diztronic emailed me that all new cases should be the revised version
