So, I got annoyed at the stupid noise made when the ringer volume was adjusted so I made a script to create flashable zip's which change this sound.
Ready made ZIP files
These zip's should work on any ROM and any version. They can also be used along side other mods
Place the zip on the phone memory
Make a backup in recovery
Install the zip through recovery
Reboot!
This one is the sound a mac makes when it's volume is changed...my fave
Download
This is just a little click noise...
Download
This one makes it silent...
Download
If you have any ideas for new sounds let me know...or try making your own with the tool below and post a link to it in the comments!
Scripts for making your own
Here is a way for you to easily make your own zips with your own sounds in them. I've tried to make it nice and user friendly
You don't need to rename your sound file to anything special, and it will sign the zip too. It can also take you to a website to convert your sounds to the required AAC format Website is here
Before compiling the zip, you shoud first see if your AAC will play on your phone in the default music player. Some converters create AAC files which are unable to be played so will not work! The website I have linked for converting seems to work well
Unzip the download
Add your AAC sound of choice to the root of my folder (in with START.bat)
Double click START.bat and follow instructions
Flash the created zip
Download
Mac.aac <---- use this to test the script

It is just a test version which has been leaked as said by Samsung....
Maybe the release version will be better
EDIT: For the sake of sharing..Link to the flasahable zip.

All credits go to wanam and again I am sharing and have done nothing but tried it on our device....(ofc it worked)....
I will include it in next version of SuPrimo as we have plenty of space in system free....

You can try this modded apk, should work for both stock & custom ROM as you can install it as a normal apk, so easily can be uninstall if you don't like it.
Cannot remember from where I got it, so credit to the modder.

Rename *whatever* (#) .rle to COOPER.rle and put onto root folder.

I'm gonna test later, I think it is better to recompile the kernel with the RLE changed. You can try it using the dsixda's Kitchen -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633246. Thanks!

For making or putting it into ace?
Making:
1.) Grab a png file.
2.) Use the converter by DoomLoRD.
3.)
Code:
adb push #.rle sdcard
adb shell
su
rm COOPER.RLE
cp sdcard/#.rle /
##COMMENT DON'T WRITE RENAME #.RLE TO COOPER.rle this exact name##
*rename binary I don't know what it is * #.rle COOPER.RLE

Never heard of this "clear" before! Try installing cygwin again, and on the package selection window search for clear. Otherwise, I really don't know what is wrong.

Remember that you can always use a Virtual Machine with Linux. No problems on there.
I keep seeing requests for a circle battery mod on stock odex roms so I thought I would share mine. I am running the newest version of Rogers stock rom (LH1), rooted. See screenshot below. Make sure you deactivate "Display Battery Percentage" under settings/display.
THIS MOD IS COMPATIBLE WITH LH1 FIRMWARE VERSION ONLY. PLEASE ENSURE YOU MAKE, OR HAVE, A NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE FLASHING / TRYING THIS.
Flash the zip file here using cwm or twrp: Stock Odex Battery Mod
NOTE: Use at your own risk. I take no responsibility for your phone.

Thanks for your feedback, I have already fixed the file name. If anyone has specific requests, I suggest the uot kitchen (Google it), you can cook your own custom mods. That was where I made this one. The only issue is to replace meta inf update file in the zip, which I would be happy to assist with.

For the file upload tab, you need to upload 3 files from your phone: systemui.apk (/system/app), and two files from your /system/framework: framework-res.apk & twframework-res.apk
The kitchen modified these files with your mods and packages them in a flashable zip file for you. When you try to flash them, you may get an error requiring a change in the updater script. Let me know if that happens and I will walk you through the fix.

I have updated the link in the OP with mediafire, much more straightforward. Just click the link, then click download, and you are done.
Thanks for the file. For me this did not work. I am running stock ATT rom rooted using directions here:

After applying this zip via CWM my phone would not boot-up, got some warning messages about usb devices etc. Had to restore from nanadroid backup.

Thats the updater script issue I mentioned. You need to replace the "update-binary" file located in meta-inf/com/google/android of your zip with the one in my zip. Should flash fine after that.
so it was not that it was an ATT phone that was the issue but the firmware: this mod is based on LH1 and would not be compatible with the earlier LE8 firmware even if it was a Bell or Rogers phone -- you can't take a mod from newer firmware and flash it on older firmware.

Me and a buddy are going to developing our own custom ICS ROM for Arc S (it is our first - so don't blame anyone of us, thanks! :c) and I am going to create an flashable ZIP file for some testing to see other peoples critic and reaction over the ROM and I have searched Google like an madman but can't find any good guide on how to make my own ZIP file.. Sure...
First you need a /system file.
You can mod the ROM on your phone, and than make a backup.
Than you can extract this backup using Yaffey.
Now you extract the system.img and put the /system in a .zip
Now the next part..
Download any flashable ROM for Xperia, and put META-INF in your .zip folder and edit the updater script placed in the folders to suit your ROM.
Now you must have inside the .zip "system" and "meta-inf". Make Sure that /system is extracting to /system
Best Regards
