Y Doesnt Hermes Detect MY Network?

I have a serious problem . I have t mobile hermes unlocked and it has schaps latest rom on it 3.57a When i put my simcard in it it reads the simcontacts and the sim menu but it keeps on searching for signals....Any body know any solution?

Oh i forgot to mention i have 1.50 radio

Did it ever work for you?
What radio ROM version did it work with?
What OS version did it work with?
Did you do the flashing?
Basically, anything that might help us, will help you.

I bought a new hermes and since then i was using my sim which is still working perfectly on all roms and all os but i have changed my network now and simcard of new network doesnt get signals although i can open sim menu and sim contacts...
So i dont know whether it an os prob or a radio prob....
I have a tmob hermes and it was unlocked i dont know whether it is a problem in unlocking....
Even the telenor sim refuses to work
All sims are 32k
Hope i have provided enough info

So, you took out the sim (and all was working).
Then you put in a new sim and it did not detect network.
Then you put the old one back and now IT does not detect network either.
is that right? it seems that it cannot be OS or operator issue since this combination of OS/Radio worked before. maybe I have missed something. If it were me, I would just reflash everything.

No the old sim is still working fine and and receives full reception but when i insert new sim hermes keeps on searching for network....

Check with ur operator if the new card supported 3G. Yes I know that u can use 2G,BUT some Simcards working NOT on 3G mobiles if they not support 3G

The sim which is working fine wiith my hermes is also 2g caz we dont have 3g in pakistan...and the sim which doesnt work is also 2g.....

just flashed new schaps 3.54c rom and latest 1.51 radio rom,but the problem is still there...Hermes can register on waridtel but not on other networks ........

Sounds like it is a SIM problem. Does your new service provider lock their SIMs to a particular phone, is the SIM properly activated? Or perhaps a bad SIM? Contact your service provider for a solution.

Sounds like you don't have the correct operator settings input into the Hermes. Here in the UK you can do this by either using Schaps Tools or finding the correct operator settings cab and running that on your Hermes first.
I would take the advice given earlier and check with the service provider that your new SIM can be used in any unlocked phone.
Once that is confirmed then I would ask them for their operator settings.To find out what settings you need click on Start>Settings>Personal>Phone and then go through the tabs that are presented to you.

Oh, by the way, read up on the wiki that supports Schaps 357a ROM. You can glean loads of useful information in there.

I think it's likely to be either something that was mentioned earlier (your new SIM might not work in a 3G phone - just because your old network sim works doesn't mean your new one will)
-or-
you could try looking in the phone options to see if the network band selection has been incorrectly selected manually or, select the correct one manually and see if this has an effect. If not, I suspect the operator's SIMs won't work in the hermes.

thx,Let me make this clear that the sim(ufone) which refuses to work in hermes,I am currently using it in my 3g phone(NOkia 6680)already without any problems and i have already played with schaps tools and selecting various bands from menu but all my efforts were in vain.
Out of five operators in pakistan,only one works fine with hermes and none of other work.....This seems to b very strange as i can open sim contacts,sim messages and sim menu is there as well...and if i search for a network manually it gets the network,but it doesnt get registered on the network..just keeps on searching.

any comments on this?

M unable 2 use Airtel sim in my cell its an Airtel Demo card plz can some 1 tell me y its not working the airtel demo card is of 128kb is it possible k after upgrading ROM it will work

ya n if it not unlocked den aslo diamond is shipped with airtel only

I don't think an upgrade will work. Maybe the simcard is not OK.
Try that in another phone if possible.

[Q] Radio Flash & Sim Unlock

Hello dear xda fellows
I bought a Bouygues Telecom (French provider) HTC desire in August 2010, and flashed it with :
ROM : Open Desire 4.10
Radio : 32.44
I called Bouygues Telecom to get a Sim Unlock Code, as my phone does not work with SFR. They told me my phone is already unlocked, which is possible as I got my phone at a shop which sells unlocked phones.
After doing some research I saw this HTC hero thread, which stands it can be a bug from using too recent radio.
Tried to flash with 32.43 but still the same : when I use SFR sim, I'm asked "Sim Network Unlock Code".
Any idea ? How can I be sure that my phone is actually blocked or not ?

Try using the sim unlock tool...a quick search should locate it.

That is to remove sim card restriction...
example
your phone provider is Verizon, and you want to use an Airtel sim
When your phone has a network lock, you cannot use airtel directly coz it is locked
When you unlock or openline your phone, you can use whatever sim card or provider you want

Can i use cdma sim?
I can use all sim like, airtel,reliance gsm, vodafone, aircel, virgin, docomo, uninor.. So what is restiction ?

in India we dont have operator restriction but in other countries the handset comes with an operator which u cannot change directly...u have to unlock the handset to use any other operator

no u can't use cdma sim ....... u use only all gsm sim.......

I want to use the phone in the GR COSMOTE GSM Network but when i insert sim card from COSMOTE GR is showing up a screen and tell me to insert the UNLOCK NETWORK PIN CODE ( the sim card is free of pin so it is not SIM PIN ) after some days i hear about NETWORK UNLOCK CODE and i buy one from a site cellfast yourself or something like that i have all the unlocking code i need but after i buy it , i got to check how meny trie i have on my counter but i just realise that was 0 and a big [X] .... so please guy's hellp me ..not for me but for my little brother ...Christmas Gift (( i'm sad [/CENTER]

There is no way to unlock the bootloader on your model, if that's what you're asking.

i just whant to remove this "network unlock code " just that . so i can use it in on every cell phone network . the problem is i have a network unlock code but i dont have more trie left so what to do now ?
