There is a audio delay when using a Bluetooth device on the LG Optimus G.
I use a LG stereo headset and also have a Jambox. When using with my tablet (transformer prime) audio/video are in sync. When using my phone the audio starts a second or two behind the video.
I tried a factory reset but to no avail.
My father has just upgraded his phone to the LGOG, because he liked mine so much (who could blame him). Well turns out he has the same issue.
I tried searching forums and haven't found anything. Just wondering if there is either a fix for stock or if anyone who has flashed a different rom could test a Bluetooth device.
Any help is appreciated

I have the same problem with my Kinivo bth240 headphones. I tried them on my work iphone and no sync issues. I then tried CM 10.2 and no sync issues. Back to stock and sync issues returned. Has this been discussed already? I could not find anything using search.
I would stay on 10.2 but its still in nightly and can be unstable. I just had an issue on CM 10.2 where I went from 70% to 6% battery on standby in a period of 3 hours. I'd like to find a solution for stock. Would this be a kernel issue or something in the Android 4.1.2 userspace?
I've done some testing with all the software revisions and found the issue is only on ZVB and ZVC. Any one else experiencing this issue?
Its an overall Android issue on Jellybean that was only fixed in 4.2.2

I know CM10 has been made "stable" on this device but I just have a few questions regarding it. My wife has been using the nightlies since the first previews were available and I'm not sure if our issues are common or something I am doing wrong.
She is currently on a nightly from a few days ago but these issues have persisted for about a month. I have done a full wipe and flash multiple times and we still have the same issues.
Skype: She can't barely here the other user and the other user hears nothing but static. I have tested with multiple other users. I have wiped data for Skype and reinstalled it, still has the same issue.
Force Close - Many apps. Happens randomly and it's not the same apps every time. I feel it is an OS issue and not an app issue.
Speakerphone is randomly activated by default. She usually has to tap the mic button a few times (deactivate, reactivate, deactivate) in order to get it switched to the handset.
Depending on what nightly she flashes the caller on the other end gets echo. It hasn't been happening with recent flashes but every couple weeks it pops up again for a nightly and then disappears.
I understand there are many issues due to Samsung not releasing sources, etc, just want to verify I am not alone. I have looked through the forums and see some people have some of the issues from time to time but I am hoping for some verification.
Thanks for everything.
I noticed the same thing a few days ago on Skype but didn't think much of it at the time.
Just checked again and sure enough I'm having the same experience you are with static.
Flashed back to stock and the problem disappears.
Must be a problem with CM10.
Ever try flashing the Stable version? Or a different rom for that matter? Maybe AOKP?
The issue existed before Stable and it exists in Stable. I just tried [ROM] AOKP(Jellybean 4.1.2)Task & Ktoonsez (11/18) and the issue with Skype exists there as well. If anybody knows of a AOKP or CM build that doesn't have any issues I would swap over. I have been wiping and flashing roms like crazy lately and I we really can't stand stock samsung rom. I may end up selling the phone and picking up something different, it's quite frustrating. Last time I buy a Samsung phone, that's for sure. They basically **** on devs.

I see you have the same phone as my wife. Any chance you have time to test Skype on your current rom? If so thanks in advance, I appreciate it.

Thanks guys. Just going to return her to stock and sell it. Going to find a device with better support from manufacturer.

Still having the same Bluetooth issues I had in 4.2.1 in 4.2.2...
Occasionally when turning off bluetooth, it gets stuck in a shutting down state. You can't then turn bluetooth back on and the only way to recover is to reboot.
I don't have that issue. Are you using custom ROM..?
No completely stock, not rooted or anything.
Looks like the issue has been around in some way or another since Ice Cream Sandwich! Can't believe they haven't fixed it yet!...

I haven't seen it yet either. Although I did in 4.2.1 I wish they would fix the ****ty quality already

I also just updated my nexus 10 to 4.2.2. same issues. my keyboard and mouse won't stay connected and it gets stuck on turning off! I really want this to replace my laptop but it can't with these problems. it also still seems to studder on video a bit with ad2p. I sold my note 10.1 in hopes that this update would fix my only issue with an awesome tablet and it didnt .what a disappointment.
Same here. Was working good for the first 2 hrs being connected to my headphones, connected to my in car, skips just like before.
I feel stupid saying this, but it seems to get worse over time. Can't understand how length of time connected would matter
Yeah this is pissing me off it will not connect to my cars head unit (Sony), im running stock 4.2.2 rooted
Can't believe theres no fix or workaround
Im also still have issues with 4.2.2 and stuttering. Also quality is still lacking big time from 4.1.2 stack

Carbon Rom 1.1 (4.2.2) with AK 691, flashed Tiny's GPU libraries update to enable true 4.2.2 kernel usage.
Turned off "High Performance Sound" option in Trickster Mod settings and all BT issues are resolved for first time since I had 4.1 running. That includes skipping/distortion with Google Play Music, overall performance and linkup issues, and most important all the bluetooth controls on my RocketFish headphones finally work again!
May not work for everyone, but I've been trying to resolve this for quite some time and had the Eureka moment today!
So I'm wondering. Does the bluetooth stuttering problem only occur when connected to a wifi network? That type of problem has existed for quite some time. The iPhone 3G had an issue where bluetooth phone and media audio would severely skip and stutter when connected to a wifi network. From what I understand since bluetooth and wifi b/g both use the 2.4GHz band the two interfered with each other. Turning wifi off always fixed the problem. The HTC Nexus One also suffered from this type of issue on all Google stock ROM's. I'm assuming it was also because of bluetooth and 2.4GHz wifi interfering with each other. Is this the type of issue that Nexus devices have been experiencing on Android 4.2 and 4.2.1?
havn`t got any problem before flashing 4.2,and now all right, seens like hardware problem in same series of gnexus
Same issue. Bluetooth seems to reset when the phone is rebooted, however it isn't long before it's on the fritz again. Very annoying for car connection and renders my Bluetooth speaker practically useless. Please acknowledge and fix Google, this affects your flagship range!

Do you have a copy of the 4.2.1 ?i cant find it,google only has 4.2.2 ontheir page,4.2.1 seemed better,as it did not have the audio bug where you can't use the equalizer in google music when moving the sliders,if you have a working 4.2.1 for galaxy nexus can you upload it somewhere?
I've been ignoring custom roms for about 6 months after I tried one previously and found the bluetooth bug. Just curious if this has found a fix at this point? I'd love to run a CM10.1 rom, but bluetooth audio is a must have for me.

the issues from 6 months ago have been gone for sometime now.
fantastic, thank you.
Life's been pretty crazy so i'm out of the loop on where everything has progressed. Once i get AT&T to warranty my phone for the GPS issues i'm having i'll try out one of the new builds.
Bluetooth audio has been working fine
But from my experience there have been problems with Bluetooth dialing.
A recent update of slimbean (version 6) seems to have corrected the problem.

I don't know that the issue really is fixed in 4.2.2. Doesn't seem to matter what ROM I run (I've tried CM, Carbon, AOKP), I can't get Bluetooth to work at all. It won't scan/find any of my devices or even turn on. I've resorted going back to stock rooted.
Has anyone found a work around or fix?
If bluetooth worked, it wont be 4.2.2. Best to go back to 4.1.x.

once in the past, when the CM roms were having bluetooth problems, I tried a different kernel and that fixed issues. The BMS Kernel is pretty stable and great performance/battery. you might give that a try.
Hello! Since I can't post this in Sprint Galaxy Note II Original Android Development until I posted ten times so this is really for CyanogenMod 11 nightlies ROM experts.
I'm using nightly CM11 2/22/14 with plasma kernel. This issue has to do with a headphone jack while plug in and using either Apollo or any other music player. If I open another app the sound goes off but when I close the app the sound comes on. This is also true with using the status bar, when I move the status bar down sound goes off and comes back on when status bar goes back up. The same is also true if the phone goes to sleep.. again sound goes off.
There is no problem with the sound system when I unplug the jack. I haven't had this problem in the past with the Official CM11 ROM. Does this has something to do with nightlies? I tried using Soundabout and other music players but still no luck.
Anyone out there experiencing the same or know how to fix this? Any help would be grateful! Thanks in advance.
I was on the 2/11 nightly for a couple weeks and had similar issues. I use Play Music app, stock kernel and V4A. I installed Carbon KK last night and its just as bad if not worse. With headphones in, audio seems to cut out if anything takes focus over player.

I still have it and after searching, I have not come on a fix.
My problem is exactly as OP described. I had the issue with builds from the 3rd, 6th, 9th, and 13th of April.
Edit:
Combination of fixes:
1. Disable hot word detection in Google Now launcher. Go home, then menu button, settings, voice, and turn hot word off.
2. Start playing the music before you plug in the headphones.
Google Play Music's volume cuts off when Google Hot word detection if ON...
I had the same issue... and have tried multiple CM nightlies with the same result. it was driving me nuts. As soon as i changed to another application Or checked the status bar the sound would mute. You are correct in turning OFF the Google "hot word" detection which turns off "OK Google" as the solution to the problem. Not sure if the problem is on Google's end OR in the CM's Team's ROM?
Thanks,

Headphone sound issue fix CM11
I found a fix that worked for me. Install AGNI CM OC kernel. During install, check off the 2nd option for sound engine. Not the one that says '(recommended)'. Worked for me, all is good now.
So on 4.3, I tried several Bluetooth keyboard but had the well known problem of the keyboard disconnecting after 3-4 seconds of inactivity.. Has anyone experienced an improvement of this on 4.4.2?

I use a bluetooth keyboard frequently during the day. I've tried several bluetooth keyboards. I've never had one disconnect yet. I have had them go into sleep mode after a few minutes and need to press a key to wake them up. But they've never disconnected on me. This was true in 4.3 and is the same for me in 4.4.2.
The well-discussed BT problem is h/w. Some folks who exchanged their N10.1-14's had the problem go away using the same peripherals. I'm a heavy BT user and haven't had an issue since October.
Yea I spoke to several Samsung reps and they kept saying its because of incompatible hardware but I know that's bs. I guess I'm SOL for now

I'm holding out for 4.4.2 helping. I bought a Nexus 7 (latest one) and a Perixx 806 keyboard. It worked great with 4.2.2. When the Nexus was upgraded to 4.3, it didn't work properly at all. Keyboard was unusable. When the 4.4 update came, it all worked perfectly again.
With the Note 10.1 2014, 4.3 keeps disconnecting every few seconds for me. After a few seconds it will reconnect and catch up, but sometimes it misses a few characters. Based on what I saw on the Nexus 7, I'm hoping 4.4.2 will fix it - but maybe I'm just an optimistic fool!

It has nothing to do with hardware. I have used my Rapoo e6100 succesfully on my Note 10.1 (2013 edition) on Official and semi-official firmware 4.1.2 for several months (used another noname keyboard before that).I just updated to 4.4.2 official firmware and the keyboard pairs and that is it.
So, the fix from Google still needs to come.
Still on jb ..had my tab since Dec ..never had a Bluetooth issue..

I'm on 4.4.2 and I have massive bluetooth keyboard issues. I'm using an Apple Wireless Keyboard which works fine on my PC at home, and I could have sworn worked fine when I first got the tablet... so I can't guarantee I haven't futzed with something, but all I've done so far is rooted and removed a few bloat apps, nothing too major.
Now, for whatever reason, I have lots of keystroke lag which produces a lot of missed characters if I type too fast. It's basically useless. I have no idea how to begin troubleshooting it either, so it's a frustrating issue.
For those having BT keybaord issues, install Bluetooth Keybaord EasyConnect app from the Play Store. It solved my BT keyboard problems. Nothing else has worked except this
