Hello, I have HTC wildfire (buzz) with custom ROM installed - RemPuzzleRom_2.2.1, and I need to return it to store. But I can't get the stock rom. RUU always says error 155 - something with memory.
Can anyone help me please?
Thanks.

Boot into bootloader, then fastboot. Then run the ruu again. If you are revolutionary s-off you will need to follow the specific instructions to remove the revolutionary hboot.

Doeesn't help. I tryied in fastboot, but still the same error. I am S-ON.
When s-on you need to relock your bootloader before you run any ruu's.

That ROM isn't Bootloader/HBOOT 0.80.
This ROM is HBOOT 0.80:

This ROM isn't for HBOOT 0.80 either, I have goldcard and my Desire only ever lets me unroot to the Virgin RUU Rom.
This one worked for me with HBOOT 0.80
RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_T2_Radio_32.41.00.32U_4.08.00.09_release_137222_signed.exe
Same problem for myself, this is what worked for me on Bootloader 0.80:
1) Using goldcard in the phone.
2) Run this RUU
RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed.exe
3) Plug phone in when prompted on the RUU.
4) Done...
I spent 3 days trying to get this to work, used countless different RUU which gave me the 130 error, in the end this was the one that worked for me. Hope you have the same success...
Exactly, as GCQ, just 2 days of nightmare. I managed to flash some ROMs, but they kept restarting the device every 10 minutes ) The same happened even after FroYo update without goldcard and not wiped system (I'd say not having the goldcard was the issue)

This does not work with 0.80 HBOOT ! ! !
There is no RUU for the 0.80 Bootloader Version.
Your HBOOT is irrelevant. You can only flash an RUU that has an equal or higher software number. So if you're on 1.21.405.2 you cannot flash 1.19.x.
done it, using this RUU :

Hi there
i have Hboot 0.80 And I want to S-OFF my phone!
alpharevx for HBOOT 1.01
what do i do?
Thanks all
It took me ages but probably because I took the long way round.
I think I formatted my SD card and made as gold card, then used the RUU tool in the Arabic RUU thread below this one.
That worked for me after a day of trial and error. I guess there is a quicker way. Search the forums I know alot of rooting guides have popped up since Alpha-Rev release.

Just go to Unrevoked.com, download their app and S-OFF+ROOT+Recovery install on your phone. HBOOT 0.80 is rootable, because it's the old version. You don't need Alpharev X.

It will not give S-OFF. Just a Custom Recovery and root. If you want S-OFF, you will have to go for AlphaRev X.

try that it works for me...just select the applicable RUU to your region then your S-OFF!!!
I got HBOOT 1.02 after running RUU but when I run alpharevx it still got s-off.
Don't forget to install and uninstall HTC Sync so you won't encounter driver issues.
Then when your already s-off follow the instructions on the link below then that's it you got full control!!!

Hope it works for you...

im on hboot .80 nd wnt to upgrade
After flashing the froyo ruu, I have checked in my hboot and it still says alpharevx s-off. I'm slightly confused. Is it still safe to carry on with flashing a recovery and rooting again?

It's ok, flashing ruu don't restore your hboot...
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using Tapatalk
Yes you can flash a recovery and get root again as long as you have S-OFF. Because Revolutionary changed the HBoot to 6.x. flashing an RUU with HBoot 0.80/1.00x cannot replace it. In case you want to get rid of S-OFF, you'll have to follow this:

Hi Community,
i have one problem. I flashed on my S-OFF Wildfire the original 2.1-update1 Rom. Then i flashed the Hboot from a 2.2 rom. Now my Wildfire is S-ON and i have 2.1-update1 installed. The phone starts ordinary.
Can i S-OFF my Wildfire again?
Sorry for my english.

I´ve tried it 3 times with Revolutionary. With the HTC Dev tool it doesn´t work, too.
What's wrong with the Dev tool?
It Says:
Your Rom is not the latest version.
Please upgrade to 2.22.405.7 to apply this RUU to be able to unlock your bootloader.
I´ll try it with another HTC Dev RUU.
Edit: It doesn´t work.

Yup, you'll need USB Debugging enabled though. And if you get errors [170]/[171], check it's plugged in with USB Debugging on, and refer to the guide in my sig
AWWWW! man just upgrade to 2.2 via OTA! then download RUU from htcdev! why go to shipped rom! Even if you upgrade to 2.2 via shipped rom RUU, to unlock your bootloader you will still the RUU from htcdev!
I can´t upgrade with OTA if my Wildfire finds no Update!
I downloaded a OTA and renamed in update.zip. Then i tried to install it with the original recovery, but i doesn´t work, too.
If i try to update with the RUU, it says Fail 131.
PUSH! Please help me.
I'm pretty sure you need to be on 2.2.1 for revolutionary to work.... Ruu to a 2.2.1 rom and try again.

I can´t flash a rom via OTA, too.
Is there any way to root the Wildfire?

Don't "flash" the ruu. Run it from your windows PC as an above post said. First enable USB debugging and then connect the buzz to the PC via USB. Run the ruu. Post back results.

You can't flash a ruu with an unlocked bootloader. Relock it and then flash it. Anyway, if you are already unlocked, to root you need to flash su in cwm recovery.
