ROM for updated HBOOT and radio - HTC One V

This is for everyone who upgraded to the new radio and HBOOT. I have a Primoc (CDMA One V) and this ROM works almost flawlessly for me.
Get rhythmic ROM 1.2D, get the OTA update. Zip and the 1.2e.zip. Flash the ROM, then ota update.zip then the 1.2e.zip. then fast boot flash the boot.IMG. if you do it in the right order. It will work. Trust me
Flash IN THIS ORDER:
1. Rhythmic Rom v1.2D http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390355257214632321
2. OTA Support.zip http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390362690511176633
3. v1.2e Updater.zip http://d-h.st/Vhe
4. Extract and fastboot flash the boot.IMG from the v1.2e Updater.zip
If you do it out of order YOU WILL GET BOOT LOOPED!!
If this helped, hit the 'Thanks' button

You can skip step #2 - the same modules are in step #3, so it's redundant.

[Q] Kernel help

Maybe i missed the kernel lesson, but i can'd find it in this forum.
My problem is : when you install a new rom, first you flash the boot.img from rom. When you want to flash another kernel, you flash the kernel.img and if existe, the modules. Why am i getting no network or wifi ? ex: Viper x, and XM kernel.
flashed viperx bot img from rom zip, instaled 3.4.0, first boot, everything is ok. My battery drained like in 30 min, so i decided to flash another kernel. I've gone reading, and the XM looks the best in battery life, and see in other post that is compatible. I flashed XM, and now i have wifi error and no network.
Please help me.

2. flashed rom viper x 3.4.0
3. boot to see if is ok, is ok, all works, but the battery life is so poor
4. download xm kernel, and with the kernel flasher tool flashed it
5. no wifi and network signal

From this steps I don't see that you flashed xm modules. that's why you don't have signal.

If you used One X One click, it should have flashed everything properly...
Still, here are the steps:
- place the kernel.zip to your sd card root
- place boot.img from kernel.zip to your fastboot folder on your pc
- reboot in bootloader
- fastboot erase cache
- fastboot flash boot boot.img
- fastboot erase cache
- reboot in recovery
- wipe cache/dalvik
- flash kernel.zip
- wipe cache/dalvik
- reboot
This works for me every time, even though I duplicate wiping (not necessary).

No. You must extract the boot.img from the ROM zip file and put it to your fastboot folder. Type fastboot flash boot boot.img to flash it.
Then full wipe and flash the ROM in recovery.

1. Flash The boot.img from the rom.zip(Open rom.zip using winrar/winzip and extract the boot.img from it). Put the boot.img in fasboot folder and then boot into fastboot and run the following line in cmd:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot erase cache
2. Boot into recovery and use the super wipe script.
3. Flash the rom.zip and then gapps.zip
4. Reboot.

If you have followed the exacts steps which I have given, then it should work fine!
Maybe its a bad download? Download the ROM/Gapps again OR try downloading a different ROM like IceColdJelly (which I'm using) and repeat the steps again which I have given...
ROM Link : http://tunsd.de/downloads/ICJ/IceColdJelly421/aokp_ICJ422-V3.0.zip
Gapps: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip

Yes you don't need to flash the boot.img again... Just boot into recovery... wipe cache+dalvic and then flash gapps.zip (Download the one which I gave you)... and then reboot!
Edit: The above way can be followed if your booting into ROM correctly... If you can't then just follow the steps again which I had posted earlier in the thread...
Everything is fixxed thanks i add only gapps and the problem persist but clear contact storage and now is ok.

#i tried JB but it failed too

please help me. Thanks in advanced
After you updated the phone you must unlock the bootloader (if you relocked it) and flash a new custom recovery.
Flash the new boot.img from the new rom, perform a full wipe in the recovery and install the new rom.zip !

It's still shows unlocked and i wanna wipe or install from SD card but Recovery option not working.
Like i said, you must flash a custom recovery first. When you updated the phone its done with a stock recovery. A stock recovery is useless to us flashers.
Its all exactly the same as it was with ics.....

r u saying to do follow the same way like i did for unlocked+root on my ICS ? i tried it but HTCdev not working like before.
Look.....you don't have to do the htcdev thing. You say your bootloader is unlocked. So flash a custom recovey and install a JB rom as usual

Tmeporary CWM ZIP run within CWM

Hi , has anybody got a link to the temporary CWM zip for 2.5 version
I had this once before that you could flash 2.5 inside CWM 4 in order to flash radios etc
(after installing revolutionary as the version 4 didnt like flashing zips)
I used to flash the 2.5 version from inside 4, and boot the radios from there but now I have lost the zip file and Ive spent an hour going in and out of individual pots to find it, only to find the link is dead (as are alot of them now as its a long time ago now)
can anybody post a link up here to the temporary 2.5 CWM that will run after flashing in version 4 - cheers
^ this should save the next person hours (only to find dead links)
You doing this just to flash radios?
Extract the radio.img from the zip, and learn to flash them via fastboot.
- Flashing radios via zip requires you to be on stock hboot as the radio is extracted in the 40MB cache partition. Flashing radios through fastboot doesn't require stock hboot.
- Fastboot radio flashing is also safer.
- You don't have to mess about changing recoveries back and forth

From Stock 5.1.1 to Custom 5.1.1

Dear XDA Members,
I currently run stock 5.1.1 (14.6.A.1.236) with no modifications whatsoever and a locked bootloader.
I would like to install a custom rom (PAC-ROM LP-MR1 5.1.1) on my Z1C.
I did some research and these are the steps i came up with:
1. install sdk and drivers
2. unlock bootloader
3. fastboot flash recovery "fota.img" (shouldn't it specify somehow that i need it to be flashed on the fota partition?)
4. factory reset/wipe
5. install custom rom + gapps
Coming from a locked bootloader a fully stock phone is there anything else i need to do like a new bootloader or something?
Also I'll be doing it through Win 10 64bit, I hope that isn't a problem.
Any advice will be highly appreciated.
Thank you very much

First things first... Root. If you already did that then you're on the right track.
1. If you're not doing major development stuff, don't install the whole sdk. See here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48915118 There may be issues you'll have to work with on newer versions of Windows. I haven't done it on anything later than 7. Keep in mind, though, that you won't need the computer to flash your boot img or rom, but you will need it to unlock the bootloader.
2. -
3. You can do this with an app called Rashr on your phone with root. Just download a recovery img, then open Rashr and follow the instructions.
4-5. Boot into recovery, full wipe, (system data and caches), flash rom zip and gapps zip. Maybe best to not flash more than that at once to start, in case there's a problem and you have no way to figure out what it is.
BTW, PacMan is a great choice. I've been using it for months.

Thanks a lot for your reply.
I was reading on the cyanogen mod wiki how-to for our phone and it doesn't require a prior root.
I did those steps on my xperia m and it worked and i had never rooted it, the only difference is that i flashed cyanogen recovery and install cm12 which basically roots the phone and then flashed fota recovery.
Should i go this way again to gain root or would you recommend an easier root method for my stock build which is the newest.
If you recommend another root method when should it occur? prior unlocking the bootloader or afterwards?
Thanks
If this is your first time unlocking your bootloader, make sure you backup your DRM-Keys! You need to be rooted for that.
They are lost when bootloader gets unlocked. Some features in regards of camera performance are lost for example.

True, if bl is unlocked, then you can flash the kernel and recovery via fastboot, then flash your rom. You may need the boot.img from your rom zip file. Then use commands 'fastboot flash boot' for the boot img, and 'fastboot flash recovery' for recovery. If you're rooted already, you can just do it on the phone.

This is fantastic.
Do you think itll be ok to fastboot flash boot boot.img from cm12.1 rom zip then fastboot flash recovery fota.img instead of the cyanogen recovery that comes with cm12.1?
Do you think that might cause an issue?

Should be fine. It's also a 1 second operation to extract boot.img from your rom zip, which you need already downloaded and on your SD card before you flash imgs. You might even be fine without flashing the boot img - can't hurt to try. Just flash the recovery and reboot and see if you get a purple light. Then, volume button changes purple to orange, and you're in recovery. Some recoveries don't work with some kernels, (been my experience).

I have only used xzdr with stock rom. I think in the past I've had it not work for me on CM, so I just stick to straight twrp by default. I know NUT has always been hard at work and has made steady improvements, so maybe not an issue now. Personally I realized that I only need 1 recovery anyway. There's a newer Twrp here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/twrp-v2-8-6-0-f2fs-z1-z1c-z2-z3-z3c-t3098573
One important fact that has already been probably mentioned is that installing custom roms on your XPERIA will worsen your camera, esp the front one. Keep this in mind.
