Hello
When I try to import ics file into S planner , it always save it in "My calendar". It's impossible to change it to any other account or calendar (I have a gmail account).
Thank you for suggestions to change or delete "My calendar"
Finally, I think it's impossible. I changed my calendar with calendar buisness. Excellent ! And I can change the calendar when importing ics file.

Hey all,
Is there a way to set the default calendar for new events you create on your phone using the default HTC calendar app?
Back on the ICS when I created a new event I selected the right calendar while creating the event (on the top-left) and after creating one event it would remember which calendar I used and use that as the default one for new events.
Now on JB that doesn't seem to work anymore, so now I keep having to select the right calendar, which I often forget.
Also is there a way to change the color of a calendar? Now it just randomly assigns a color to all the events from a single calendar, but I would like to set it myself.
Thanks in advance.
Hey there.
I'm experiencing the same issue as I'm using the google calendar, but new events get created in the pcsync-calendar every time.
Did you find a solution yet?
[@ colors: If you're using google calendar, you can set the colors over the web at https://www.google.com/calendar ]
Greetings!

The same issue. With every new entry in calendar I always have to change the calendar from default PCSync calendar to gmail.com calendar (PCSync does not sync to google account) even if the PCSync calendar is not selected in visible calendars.
I did not find any solution yet.

The default Google Calendar app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.calendar) remembers last calendar used.
But it's not a solution if you want to use stock HTC calendar.
Have a new AT&T Note 2. My google calendar on PC syncs with my stock phone calendar, but entries on phone calendar don't show up on PC google calendar. What can I do. Thx in advance.
When you go to create a new event in the native calendar app, at the very top of the form is an option to select the calendar the new event will be created in. By default, it creates a new event in My Calendar, which doesn't sync with Google. You have to select your Google account as the calendar for the new event. Not sure, but you might try deselecting My Calendar in Settings -> Calendars to see if you can change the default behavior.

The native calendar and one I downloaded called Calendar seem to be in sync with each other regardless of how I set them. I set the native one to my sync with gmail calendar and the new one has a folder/calendar I created. No matter which account I select, the other calendar changes to it. I can't use them as two different calendars. Hope that was clear enough! Any thoughts?

I can't help you directly but have you tried Agenda Widget Plus? It lets you choose which calendars to use (e.g. exchange or google calendars). It's not really a calendar app but has nice widget options
Android basically collapses all calendars into a single view. Depending on the app or widget, you can select which calendars to view, as well as to which calendar a new entry should be saved. The data is kept within each calendar, so if you delete one the other calendars will stay. If you use Outlook, its very much like the overlay view.
Hope that helps clear the confusion.

I use my phone a lot for work, and just wondering what the best 4x4 widget/app is for organising my appointments/meetings etc?
I'd like something that will Sync with Outlook Calendar on my work emails as well as allowing me to input meetings/appointments in my phone. I would also like something that will allow me to have some sort of 'to-do list'.
Thanks a lot!!
I use an app called
gsyncit it is not free (but not expensive) but I manage to sync Calendar Contacts and Tasks NOT emails
Hello
I do it using gmail calendar
How i do it :
Install google calendar sync (freetool can be found in google) on your pc and configure ure gmail account
That will push your outlook calendar to gmail
That can be done in two ways
( outlook to gmail / gmail to outlook)
Without gmail i dont know if there is another way to make it work
Cheers

Is there a way to add my wife's calendar to my Google calendar???

If she is using Google Calendar then try this.... It will have to be done from her calendar.
In the calendar list on the left side of the page, click the down-arrow button next to a calendar, then select "Share this calendar" .
Enter the email address of the person you want to share your calendar with.
From the drop-down menu on the right side, select a level of permission, then click "Add Person" . Click "Save".
Once you click "Save" , the person you selected to share the calendar with will receive an email invitation to view your calendar.
You will need to click on the link contained in the email to add the calendar to your "Other" calendars list, the calendar will not be automatically added to the your Calendar account.
There are some permissions you can set like whether they can edit the calendar and such.
