Is there a way to get the tv off animation for when I lock my screen on the latest TW JB rom?

No cuz the kernel has to be able to support it and the official jb ROM didn't come out.

Actually, CRT off is possible without any kernel modification. It's CRT on that will not work.
There should be a CRT off mod available soon.

No pop-up browser?

Is it me or is there no pop up browser built into the note 8? I know there are options in the play store but in my opinion, the Note 2 pop up browser does it better than the ones in the play store

I'd love to know the answer to this as well. Is it possible to install from the note 2?

I downloaded it and tried, but when I ran it I got a message pop up saying Mobile Odin was not compatible with my device (n5110).
