my Note II stock email app keeps creating duplications of sent emails in the sent box, is it a bug of Samsung device? I also experienced the same problem with previous Samsung devices. I use IMAP, someone said POP is ok, but that is not what i want. Can anyone tell how to solve it? thanks in advance!

Help, please!
Hi all,
I have already searched for this answer but have not found an actual solution. When u text someone and I carry over into a 2nd message, my phone says converting to MMS!
Now I've recently moved to 3 was on Orange for years and I'm pretty sure my Note 2 on Orange didn't do it or my S3 I had or even other phones!
Is this a 3 issue or did it already do it on Orange and I didn't notice?
Is there a fix with the stock messaging app? I don't want to switch to go sms or handcet sms.
Cheers

I don't have my gn2 yet, but...
Is stock the standard aosp messaging app or a Samsung app? If its the pure aosp, there is a setting for splitting messages after 160 chars, which is the standard SMS limit. Is there not an option for something similar to split or keep as SMS? Just because some apps allow 160+ as SMS doesn't mean they should.
Carrier and region may have impact on this as well. More information is always helpful.

Thanks for the reply. It's a Samsung app, so there is no option for the above. I can use a 3rd party app to get round it as 3 have said it's a known issue on their network with certain Samsung phones.
I will just have to either send separate texts or get charged!

Note2 very bad in this, I am extremely disappointed with this, I'm using GOSMS until they find a solution, because the solution of S3's not right with the Note2.

I don't want to use a 3rd party app, it should be in built. Hopefully Sammy will fix it soon.

When I send attachments from my GN2 using the Gmail application, the attachment is dropped from the email during delivery and does not arrive to its intended recipient. The file is a jpg image that is very small and should send through without any hiccups.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with Gmail on this device or even on a different device? I've been using Gmail for years on Android without ever experiencing this issue and it's driving me nuts!

Never heard of or seen this. Try sending it to yourself. The person you're sending to probably has security restrictions that is removing your attachment.

The odd thing is, it's even dropped it from the email in my sent messages. I'm wondering if it's because it's on my external sd for some reason?
It's also dropping the file if I send an email to myself.
Stock AT&T no rooting or mods.

Are you sending from a browser? Is so, do you have rich text enabled? Can you send yourself an attachment other than a picture?

No. Using the Gmail app.

I have the same problem on my original Note. Never with pictures, but with MP3's and Apk's. I tried removing the file extension (and 'dot') and it seemed to work. I just added back the correct extension after receiving it, and had others to do the same when I sent them things.
Maybe this info will help you guys.

Problem has been corrected for me by taking the update for the Gmail app that was released today.

I know this is a known issue, the stock email app when not on data keeps saying login failed to my yahoo account despite the fact that my information is correct. When on wifi, there is no error ever given. Is there a replacement stock email app or a solution to this madness? I swear I hear that sound maybe 30 times a day. Running 4.2.2 TW.
