Don't know what happened but all of a sudden when I plug my phone into my computer my internal memory is now called "/mnt/mmc/Downloaded Data" and now I can't access it from recovery. "sdcard" doesn't show any of my zip files and "sdcard1" is empty. Any suggestions as to what caused the change and how to get it back?

I have the trouble with internal storage on my Magican. There is a folder, that can't be deleted (it was a file before, but now it's became a folder - it seems like it was a FAT error).
Is there any way to format the internal storage?
Create any file on storage card (or in memory) with name same as folder on storage and copy it to storage. Coping operation will failed but folder on storage will get file attributes again. Now you can delete it.
I have Astro File Manager installed. I have not used it much but now have a question I can't find a answer to. I added some files to the SDCard when it was connected to my PC. I go to Astro and it looks like, at least on my Incredible that my sdcard is listed under mnt/emmc. I have installed the TitantiumBackup and it thinks my SDCard is mnt/sdcard but that looks like it is the internal memory when I connect the phone to the PC. I did a backup and instead of installing the backup to my sdcard it all went to the internal memory. What good is a backup there? I thought the purpose was to put the backup to the sdcard so you could easily have it on a external card.
If my sdcard should be mnt/sdcard how do I get the phone to use that for the removable sdcard? On the root of my internal file system I have a /sdcard folder which looks like it is the same as the /mnt/sdcard folder. The /mnt/sdcard/ and the mnt/emmc/ are different and the mnt/emmc/ folder has all my sdcard files and folders.
Am I missing something somewhere? Why is it so difficult to find the sdcard files and is there a way to fix my file system or TitantiumBackup to find the right system? I am at a loss on this one.
Titanium Backup shows -
External storage: /mnt/sdcard (ok)
Backup directory: /mnt/sdcard/TitantiumBackup
When phone is connected to the PC both of these are internal storage, not the SDCard. What, where should I see sdcard in Astro to really be the SDCard?
If it should be /mnt/sdcard how do I make the file system to use that and not use /mnt/emmc/ as the sdcard? I did a backup today and TitantiumBackup put all the files on the /mnt/sdcard/ area so now the backup is not on my sdcard. I could not find any place in TitantiumBackup to change where the backups go.
your post is extremely confusing.
just to clear some things up.
are you doing all this (checking on the pc and checking astro) at the same time? cause if you are you will see two different things. Unmount and switch to "charge only" if you want to see astro correctly on the phone.
/mnt/emmc is your internal memory
/mnt/sdcard is your sdcard
Always will be.

No, not checking both at the same time. Below is using Astro:
Astro = /mnt/emmc - sdcard
Astro = mnt/sdcard - internal memory
Connected to PC:
I don't see mnt or sdcard or most of what I see using Astro on the internal drive.
On the SDCard I see what I see under /mnt/emmc/ using Astro.
HTC Support said to mount the SD card from the phone to PC, copy all data to the PC and then unmount from PC and format the SD card. I did that, and after the format I went to copy all back to the card but the card was just as before the format. I unmounted the phone from the PC and Astro showed I formated the /sdcard - my phone data area. The /mnt/emmc (where my Incredible thinks the SD card is) had all the information showing as before.
The /mnt/sdcard only had 3 files, .android_secure (empty directory) LOST.DIR (empty directory) and tmp - .astro folder - astro.db. The /mnt/emmc/ has all my SD Card files and directories.
I know this is not set up right, especially when the format could / did not find the sdcard. Anyone know how to fix this to get it the way it should be?
HTC Support to the rescue. Since the in the phone format did not work, or at least work on the SD Card they had me take the original 2GB card that came with the phone and put it in a card reader on my PC and d0 a format there (FAT32). After the format I copied the files back to that card and put it in my phone. All works as it should, in a file manager /sdcard or /mnt/sdcard showed what was on my SD Card. I then put my 8GB card in the card reader on my PC and did a FAT32 format on it and then copied the files back to it. I then swapped the cards and now I can see the 8GB SD card as either /sdcard or /mnt/sdcard as it should.
Now all I need to find out is what should really be in /mnt/emmc and see if I can get that back the way it should be. Anyone know what directories & files should be there?
Hey guys not sure if I'm doing something wrong but I have about 4 gigs on my sd card and my phone wont show it in any file manager it says all the folders are empty. I formatted the card and transferred everything back on and its still doing the same thing. Even tried transferring it to the internal memory and it shows the folders but again they are empty when I know the files are there. Any suggestions?

is it mounted? when you goto settings/storage is sd card mounted? can you mount to pc? when you mount to pc and open sd is your stuff in there? maybe the android.secure file was erased! if so then try taking a picture and saving to sd then see if you can find it trhu gallery
yes it is mounted and it lets me mount to the computer and transfer things. In storage it shows I have it half full but in a file manager it shows only 33 mb used. When I plug it into the computer all the files are there. I took a picture and saved it to the sd and it showed up in the gallery.
So i just noticed after a few days of flashing the cm10.1.2, when I try to access sdcard1 (external) using the file manager. so here's what I'm doing.
I run the file manager, click the bookmark, then click sdcard1, loads for like a sec then shows the external card directory but it switches back to sdcard0 (internal) it's not dead sd card cause I can store stuff in there and access it using twrp. I gave file manager a root access, reformatted the sdcard (more like wipe it out) can't format it through my computer though. File system is: generic heirarchial, for some reason I can't switch it to fat32 Still can't access it, switches back to internal everytime I try.

Its something with your SD card or partition. It works fine for me.
I have a weird problems with my locked XT1710-09.
After OTA to OREO and reboot, I realised that I am unable to access my internal storage using File Manager or ES File Explorer.
I get error 'SDCard not found' or 'SDCard not mounted'.
I am able to access and browse my 128GB external storage. However, I notice that the volume id is not in XXXX-XXXX format (as before OTA) rather a long chain of number like '36363632-2d36-3000-00000040000' as per screenshot. The SDCard display volume id in XXXX-XXXX format when inserted to other phone and usable in my laptop.
The phone can be used to receive call, sms, whatsapp, etc. However any operation involved internal memory will trigger error 'SDCard not found' or 'SDCard not mounted' or 'Internal Memory not mounted' depending on applications that are being used.
What I have tried:
1. Factory Reset
2. Format SDCard (external memory)
3. Send to SC for reflash.
4. Reflash ROM in fastboot myself
5. Tried 64GB SDCard (which still give me the same long chain volume id as I had mentioned above and unable to access internal storage)
And I am able to access Internal memory when the SDCard (external memory) is not inserted or when I tried 16GB SDCard which in the ES File Explorer show correct volume id format in XXXX-XXXX.
Any idea?
Is it hardware issue?
And anyone facing similar issue?
