Does anyone know of a 4.1.2 MC6 Rom with the option to change the music track from the lockscreen like in CM10.1?
I would like to go back to touchwiz for a while and see if battery life gets any better, and also for the stability since CM10.1 has been pretty bad lately.
Any suggestions?
Touchwiz lock screen doesn't incorporate widgets like aosp does. But some music apps will create their own lock screen with music control.
You can however pull down your notification and skip songs without unlocking the phone.

I played around with the latest OMFGB nightly (8/25) and saw that they added notification bar music controls similar to what is on touchwiz. Anyone know of any way to make this work for a Sense based ROM? I just think it'd be an awesome thing to add to the Sense notification bar since you can control music easily while you're in the middle of an application. It'd fit well in the space that the recent apps would usually take up and autohides when no music is playing.
That said, the things I like about touchwiz style controls allow you to control any music application that is currently running (Spotify, Google Music Beta, etc, at least in the case of AOSP ROMs), and, as mentioned, hides whenever there is no music playing. Only thing I don't like is that they only pull album art and track information from the stock music application, where others will display no information and a gigantic ~unknown-unknown~~ in the status bar. Given that any running application is already in the notification bar with track information directly below that, I think that just having music toggles with no info would be better (plus could have bigger buttons)
Lot of rambling. Guess the thing I wanted to know was if the sense framework allowed this as AOSP does, and would any dev/themer think it's worth tackling?
I couldn't narrow the search term to find what I was looking for, so here it goes. Is there a feature on Touchwiz or AOSP/AOKP that keeps you from one or the other? Is there something that you have to have? I am running Task's AOKP and have flirted with some of the TW roms but keep going back. It just seems a ligher, more responsive rom. Multiwindow was definitely a draw but I don't see when I would ever use it and the screen just doesn't feel big enough to support it. I do miss the TW calendar. What are your thoughts?
I dont like the aosp lockscreen and the way new notifications are displayed. guess I am used to tw lockscreen and sms app. seem to work better for me. I didnt like the lack of customization with tw until I discovered morphology. aosp and tw roms come down to what each offers now imo. but I have never been able to get tw battery longevity on aosp roms. so tw it is for now. aosp does offer the latest versions of android which is nice but so far as I can tell Im not missing out on much
AOKP
-no need to enable data for mms if on Wi-Fi
-sleeps like a baby
-4.2.2
-best battery life in my opinion
-extra quick toggles
-more updates
Touchwiz
-camera
-calendar

you have to flash ICS or use 2 music players that both have a fake-lockscreen.
in ics every media app can be controlled in lockscreen it it's configured to do so (most are)

what you meant by fake-lockscreen? i'm using an ics rom and the rom's music player sucked and i wanted to change it
if you cannot switch it off inside your music player preferences i can't help you. many players integrate well with the ics lockscreen. i'm using tune in radio, jetaudio, google music and apollo - everyone controlable from the stock lockscreen.
with fakelockscreen i wanted to say that the lockscreens that come with an audio player aren't really lockscreens. they bypass and disable the real lockscreen and just open an app that's used as a lockscreen. i have bad results with this. for example the display stays on much, much longer, display goes on when changing volume - this behavior drains the battery really fast.
I'm new to 4.3, and I'm using an S3 (Mobilicity). Rooted, stock rom and recovery. I'd like to know if it's possible to replace the clock widget from the lockscreen entirely. I'm caught between the xposed framework and Puzzle and Dragons, the game just won't cooperate with the framework (crashes upon opening). So, I've pretty much given up on trying to get secure widgets and everything since PaD won't run with them, and instead would just like to replace that default clock widget with something like DashClock.
If there is a way to do this, it would be much appreciated if you could share. I've looked all over and couldn't find anything on this.
EDIT: Alternately, if there was a way so that apps couldn't detect the xposed framework, or if there was another way to enable multiple widgets on a secured lockscreen, that would be great as well.
EDIT 2: Is there a way to bring back the 2-layer lock screen from 4.1? I can't fathom why they would completely leave that out, I love the swipe screen, it's got lots of space to show the wallpaper, and can also be used for other things (like the widgets >.>"), while you still have a second lock screen for the pattern lock.
HI friends! I have a question.
Unlike the lock screen of AOSP ROMS, the notifications on the lock screen stock system can not be expanded.
Is there any way to extend the notifications on lock screen?
Thanks a Lot!

I have the same issue, running Cloudy's i want to have the AOSP lockscreen, searched alot and no solution to be found atm.
Only workaround would be going AOSP rom, i did that but was not satisfied with Cam quality so went back to Cloudy's. if not mistaken the LG lockscreen are the Keyguard APK's, if i disable them will it run AOSP lockscreen (builtin) or will it cause weird issues?
