I had that too. It's the back cover that's causing it and stopped when i replaced it with one of the official cases.

How many times a day do you get pocket screen shots? I've had a bunch.

I don't, mainly because I lock my phone whenever it goes into my pocket

Yup, I turned the feature off. More annoying than anything.

Stuck orientation in landscape

Sometimes when I'm using the phone to watch videos, when I back out for whatever app I'm using the phone will go back to portrait orientation when at the home screen, but when I open another app it goes directly into landscape even when I'm holding the phone in portrait. Is there something that I'm doing wrong? It fixes itself after I restart the phone. Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Do you have smart stay enabled?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
I just unchecked that, is that the problem?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda premium
Well the smart stay senses your face and if it thinks that your looking at the screen it won't change orientation regardless of how it's rotated. I

I have also read in some places that it is a but that we got from the last firmware update.

I know it was doing it to me before I checkrd the smart stay. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't hardware related.

The smart stay was turned off and the problem is still there.

Note 2 switches off by itself

Hi guys. Thanks for helping me get my note 2 up again. Now a problem that had been with my phone for a long time; the phone goes off by itself, even when it's on top of a desk untouched. Sometimes it goes off when it's charging and someone's when it's in my pocket.
I have to press the start button for like ten seconds to boot it; otherwise I remove the battery and replace it then press the start button like normal.
I tried flashing new factory roms to no avail; problem persists.
Other thanthis issuethe phoneworks verywell. What can I do to get this phone to work properly?
Thanks guys.

Maybe but I have no idea. How could one solve this problem if it happens to be the one?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
From your description it can't be a simple loosened battery, I think its hardware related since flashing new roms dousnt work. You still have warranty?

Nope. .. no warranty here.

Dirt in the home button (white version)

I had dirt in the device since day 1, but now it's just getting really annoying seeing it. It's a little black spot on the top inside of my home button. I tried scratching it out but I couldn't, any advice on how to take it out?

Possible to have a like imagine burn in

Whenever I have white on my phone I can see the original home screen like the one I had when I first got it. Is it a burn in? Cause ik the icons aren't from my phone now say like when I open Google chrome I can see just slightly the home screen apps from when it was new.

If you keep your screen on full brightness then its bound to happen on any phone, use that auto brightness and you should.be good on your next phone that is... only way to remove that is a new panel
