Hello, I have HTC wildfire (buzz) with custom ROM installed - RemPuzzleRom_2.2.1, and I need to return it to store. But I can't get the stock rom. RUU always says error 155 - something with memory.
Can anyone help me please?
Thanks.

Hello
I got a GSM network HTC Desire and I would like to remove the rooting. It has HBOOT 0.93 and I got no idea how to get rid of the rooting. I used the search, but it does not help me....
I did not need a goldcard to root the Desire with unrevoked3, so I do not know if I need one know... I tried to install RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.09.405.8_Radio_32.43.00.32U_5.09.00.20_release_140022_signed, but it tells me to get the right utility and gives me a 131 id error.
Could anyone please give me some advice?
Thx in advance.
Try a most recent RUU, this is the last
http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Bra...9.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_159811_signed.exe
If ur phone is branded, u will need a goldcard, or install the right ruu from ur operator if u can find it..search on the forum..
EDIT: Remember the RUU will erase all in ur phone..btw why u want unroot? u really need unroot?
I want to unroot it because I want to sell it and people do not buy if you tell them that the warranty is gone because of the rooting.
Btw, the linked update failed with same error, 131 id error.
Some info from the menu:
BRAVO PVT1 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.93.0001
MICROP-031d
RADIO-5.11.05.14
ROM is Oxygen 2.0 RC6 (Gingerbread ROM)
Error code 131=Customer ID Error.
You need a goldcard to run this RUU. Either do that, or choose the RUU corresponding to ur brand.
RUU_Bravo_Vodafone_UK_1.19.161.5_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126338_signed causes a 140 boot loader version error -.-

Error 140->You're trying to run a lower version than the one on your system now.
There is another thread on the same error with detailed instructions on the method for Vodaphone.. I'll see whether I can find it.
Just run the RUU Eddy mentioned
That's Vodafone UK, plus you'd wanna try 2.33.161.2 if any...

Thx a lot
Thanks guys, finally unrooted.
RUU_Bravo_Froyo_Vodafone_UK_2.33.161.2_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_157522_signed worked for me, as the phone is from Vodafone, did I mention that before? If not, sorry...
Nevertheless, great support here! thx a lot.
Hi there
Have a Htc Desire which was originally on the Orange network but recently unlocked it to T-mobile(uk).
I now am in the process of debranding it but have hit a glitch.
Have successfully made a gold card which is still inside the phone.
Only problem i have is that when trying to replace/update the rom via a RUU file i get the following error above (140 bootloader version error).
I think the error maybe caused by following an old tutorial as my current image is 2.17.61.3 and the one i am using is RUU Bravo HTC Europe 1.15.405.3 Radio_32.30.00.28U 4.05.00.11 Release 121865.
Can someone point me in the right direction on what correct files i need so that i am still running the latest files.
Is it Froyo if so can you link me to where i can find it.
Many thanks for any help given in advance!
The bootloader you have is too new for the too old hboot. You are right there.
Here you have the newest ruu by htc:

Hi all!
I have followed the tread named [HBOOT] "HBOOT update for EU users who's having problem with RUU" by user Gig11gs.
After successful completion I could downgrade the software version from 2.14.771.4 to 2.13.401.2
When I try to update HBOOT with the software from htcdev.com I get ERROR 130 (wrong model ID). How could this be? This happened before following the thread mentioned above too.
I am a noob but nevertheless, I followed the tutorials correctly and my htc IS a wildfire S...
How could this be?
Hi guys,
I have a HTC Desire, S-ON () with HBOOT 1.02.0001 which will boot into fastboot but won't enter recovery. When I try to boot into recovery, it shows the HTC logo on white but never progresses and I have to pull the battery. On a normal boot, the device will vibrate 7 times in succession and never makes it past the HTC logo.
I was trying to fix up the device using an RUU but it failed mid-way through and now I'm wondering what my options are, as I only have fastboot working.
If I can get a working recovery then I can flash a ROM from there.
Thanks in advance
Flash the 2.3 RUU.
I get a signature error with this, do I need a gold card?

I was using the wrong RUU before but I've located the correct one, Vodafone 2.33.161.2 which is the current device version, and the RUU just hangs at 'Updating Signature'. It does eventually fail with error 155, Unknown error, suggesting an incorrect RUU or ROM.
Any idea where I'm going wrong? Will a goldcard allow me to flash the 2.3 RUU from HTC?

with the 2.3 gb upgrade u do NOT need a goldcard, thats why abaaaabbbb63 suggested it. click bortaks guide in my sig and go down to resourses and download the 2.3 gb upgrade ruu from there. it wont do u any harm in reading the guide aswell
I'm following the steps in bortaks guide under section [2], but the linked RUU fails. Unfortunately it's a PVT3 device so I can't use some of the other options in the guide.
What does it say? Is it a radio fail?

like abaaaabbbb63 said what fails? did u run the ruu but it failed? did u create a goldcard before running the ruu? why havnt u still not tried the 2.3gb upgrade? what does it say in bootloader? no one can help if u just post it failed.
Sorry, I wasn't being very clear.
I've tried the 2.3 GB from HTC and that fails with the 131 CID Error which is why I though that I needed to use a goldcard.
The Vodafone RUU (126338) that has the same version as the device (2.33.161.2) fails with 155 unknown error.
I'm going to try and make a goldcard and run the 2.3 from HTC.

u shouldnt get cid error with the 2.3gb upgrade coz it bypasses the cid check, thats why it was suggested. u 100% sure u used the 2.3gb upgrade?
You were right, I have so many RUUs I was trying to flash the wrong one.
The 2.3 RUU flashes the recovery, radio, system image and then fails with Error [152]: IMAGE UPDATE ERROR.
Unplugging the device on the RUU's recover screen as instructed shows the RUU output:
[1] RADIO_V2 - FAIL PU
Items 2-9 are listed as OK
Partition update fail!
Update Fail!
Here's a photograph of the screen - http://imgur.com/PK5jBJb
What you have there is a radio brick. The only thing you can do now is repeat the RUU process with the 2.3 one, and hope that it will eventually work.
I thought as much.
It won't even install the 2.3 RUU now, fails with signature error. I'm at the 4 corners exclamation mark screen.
I am currently running AOCP 6 by CedArctic JB 4.2.2 but i wanted to revert to stock 2.3.5.
I downloaded two different RUU's but both are showing an error in connection. I have installed HTC Sync and the drivers seem to be OK but unfortunately this error is preventing me from reverting my HTC Desire HD to stock. I tried putting the PD98IMG in HBOOT but only the blue bar fills up and then nothing happens.
Is there a way I can revert to stock?
More info for my device:
Ace PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT- 2.00.0029
If it would be possible to show me how to get to 2.3.5 again, I'd be glad, BTW i don't want to flash it via Recovery like the Stock rom from nitr00.

I'm not sure this would work, Cos its been a while but let's try this.
You've to be on Stock Rom from nitr00 at first. Then try to do the same steps. If it still shows the same error, Try Relock the bootloader Re-Run RUU.
Thanks for the reply, also close this if possible. I'm gonna try to do that at a later time.
