Saw the swipe glass to unlock feature on ex-friends Infuse and I was wondering if there is any way to get it on the Samsung Galaxy S II T989? I'm pretty sure it's just an older TouchWiz feature since his phone was running Gingerbread. Just wondering if there's a tweak anywhere around her to get it.
Sorry about the noob question, coming from an HTC Evo 3D so I'm kinda new over here.
Anyone got an answer for me?

The feature you are speaking about is the Sweep2wake feature. Its available on a limited number of ROM's. If memory serves me correctly, its not avail on TW but AOKP roms might have it integrated into the ROM or Kernel. Check that out.
I know what you're talking about, but what I'm talking about is different. It's an actual lockscreen that's on some Samsung phones. When unlocking the phone, it looks like you're sliding the whole lockscreen away, another feature it includes is if you receive a text or have a missed call, it shows up as puzzle pieces.

MIUI has lockscreens which are similar.
I know, I've used a MIUI rom before. I'm just wondering what version of touchwiz that lockscreen was on or if there's anyway to get it.

try and see if you can install a GB based touchwiz rom, it MIGHT have it. But to be honest, a lockscreen is not worth having to deal with GB.

Yeah that makes sense, like I said, it was on an Infuse, so I'm pretty sure the infuse being an older phone, it would have it. But I like my jellybean tw 2.0 so I'm just gonna count it as a loss. Thank you very much.

It is there, but you have to look for it on the online list and it is like at the very bottom.
I tried it it kinda worked but it was unable to installed some lockscreen themes from online. Also didnt like it that the Lockscreen showed chinese/Jap letters couldnt find the options to change it either.
Thanks
Def what I was looking for to update my bland lockscreen.
Looks like it's officially in the Market, too! Here's a market link in case you're uncomfortable allowing it to "Autoly check." At least I THINK that's what that option is supposed to do!
As one of the reviews says, this definitely feels like a beta release. I'm sure they'll add more translation in future releases, because right now the heavy amount of kanji is kind of a turnoff for a person who doesn't know how to read that.
EDIT: looks like you can add wallpapers by dropping them into /sdcard/miui/wallpaper

I second that. I love MIUI, it's pretty much the only rom I ran on my Evo. That being said, the chinese characters are annoying.
Edit: Sapphire is easily the best option. It's in English too!
Hey everyone I get my note II in a few days and am going to start developing a rom. It will be touchwiz based its going to have optimizations and hopefully a working tablet dpi. If anyone has any suggestions let me know and I may be able to incorporate them into the room. Look forward to offering what I can to this community!

Current Im just going to stick with some optimizations and debloating. I can't do a whole lot with fixing errors by forcing it into tablet mode since I dont have a device to test it on. If any one wants to be a test please let me know (at your own risk that is). Shoot me a pm if interested.
Here what I have done so far if any one wants to test for bugs send me a pm and I will give you the link. I also might be avoiding tablet ui because of the bugs it causes with spen. For now I think I will stick with the 5x6 launcher which I kinda of like .
Extended Power Menu
Increased In Call Volume and Disable Camera Sounds
Build Prop Tweaks
GPU Rendering
Debloated!
5x6 Touchwiz Launcher
DSP Manager
Deodexed
Init.D Support
Ram Tweaks
Adobe Flash
Still Working on adding
15 toggles mod
Landscape mode
You tell me......
If anyone would like to create a boot animation or splash screen for me that would be awesome!!!!
Im on gtalk [email protected]. My pms wont send so Im having a hard time getting the link out to my two testers. If any one is available and wants to test hmu on gtalk.
I just found this on the play store guys and I think it's pretty awesome, this is the only new feature that I loved about iOS7, it's pretty handy IMO. Thought I shared it.
I'm just sharing it, I couldn't find the post where the app was born ( I'm pretty sure was developed here on xda ), but anyways, if you find the maker, thank him, and be sure to leave 5 star to promote development.
Here is what it looks like on my device.

No offence but if I wanted my phone to look like an iPhone then I'd still have my iPhone lol ... I'm sure some people will appreciate this app though, at least if/when they iron out the issues current users seem to experience with it
I actually tried this the other day and I really didn't like it. Its kind of askward since it is right by my app drawer button. So I found myself hitting that instead. Or it would do both.
I much prefer power toggles or something similar in my notification drawer. Not to mention the colors on the center are just plain ugly and don't blend well with anything.
Just my opinion!

I can't get how getting a quick settings alike will make your android look like an android, this is not a theme or whatsoever. Well I just wanted to share it, I'd never use an iPhone that's for sure but control center is way better option than both quick toggles/ quick settings on android IMO.

How dare you mention"The Phone that Shall Not Be Named!" LOL
Curious as I notice you are running a Venom ROM.
If so what benefit does this have over using the Quick Setting in the pulldown, does that not offer even more?
Nevermind, the mod took care of it....

Wasn't using venom rom when I posted this.
Over the past three weeks Have been trying assortment of roms. Dont like the look and feel of TW. I like the abilities of CM because i can shut of the phantom menu, but i have been getting wakelocks and LOS and the rotation is slow or doesnt even work. especially after hanging up calls.
I would just like a recomendation for a stable ROM with no LOS and customizable. Battery i know depends on the phone so i wont even ask.
Or even fixes for those problems. I am currently on CM 10.1rc2 build date 9/18
Have you tried some of the themed TouchWiz ROMs? That's where you're gonna get stability... Here's my latest if you dare to try it mwahaha (mad scientist laugh)-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2320041.. I've got a 4.3 AOSP version on there too but I wouldn't recommend that for stability.

Pretty much, check out the huge features list in Post #1
Looks very nice. the launcher seems very comparable to apex launcher. love to gesture to get to things. ill add some high contrast icons, because i work outside and need to see. Thank you. will report back after i give it a whirl. in case somebody else has the same question.
Really loving rom. Have question about unlock screen. I changed it to aosp but I can't find any where to change the targets..and thanks for the inverted play store. Have the app.but I always screw up installation and give up.I always search, hence only 10 posts in over 2 years
Can't change targets.
Hey guys I've had my Note 3 running on stock since last year and now I'm getting kind of bored of it. I want a ROM that either looks like stock Android (AOSP) or at least doesn't have the touchwiz look. Maybe something customizable. BUT I would like S-Pen features to work if possible (I heard they don't work on non-touchwiz ROMs). I really like pen window (the one that lets you open up apps in small windows).
Also I definitely need multi-window.
I think I am basically looking for a touchwiz ROM that looks as closest to AOSP as possible.
Any suggestions?
You could always flash a touchwiz ROM and then flash an AOSP theme to it.
I flashed this ROM and flashed this theme

I would just flash foreverlocos aosp theme over your tw ROM of choice.
What do you use the pen window and multi screen for? Just curious, I'm looking for ways that I could possibly use them that I haven't thought of.

I'm a college student. Sometimes I'm too lazy to bring my laptop to class, so I use my phone. I have a textbook open in one app, and notes in another. Pen window for a calculator. Works pretty well!
Another use for multiwindow is if I want to screenshot information from two apps at once.
