My phone is at "Encryption failed" screen and does not respond when I click the "reset device" button.
This just randomly appeared. My phone ran out of battery last night and I was able to turn it back on after charging it and use it perfectly fine. I left it to charge overnight and when I woke up the screen was stuck at the "SAMSUNG" logo and after I reset it, I got the "Encryption failed" message.
I rooted my phone through root66 via Odin about a month ago and have not tinkered with it since. It has been working perfectly fine. I did not flash any other custom ROMs, only rooted it.
I am able to enter recovery mode and download mode.
I tried flashing stock ROM via Odin and it fails.
I tried "wipe data/factory reset" in recovery mode and it just get "Encryption failed" again.
PLEASE HELP!

i tried connecting to keis but it sais the device will not respond. i cant enter clockwork recovery mode cuz it just goes to the same error screen. i can only get into oden mode. i have a i9100 mugkg2 on tellus. nothing is working. i also tried using oden to install the stock rom but it fails every time. please help! how can i just get it back to factory
It sounds like you've bricked your phone, have you tried a USB jig to try and reset it yet? Try ebay, look for i9100 usb jig

Install KIES, then use the Unlock Root

Hi teck2100,
If you can get into odin mode (aka download mode) then you're fine. You should be able to flash a stock rom using odin.
Look here for a list of roms: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113928 and pick one that you can root using D00ml0rd's method (zergrush), it's the simplest way I've found for root and Mobile Odin is the best app for custom rom's in my opinion.
Good luck and if it helped please use thanks,
Stefan.
I screwed up.
I wanted to install a new custom mod after purchasing a new SM-P605. I rooted my device, and searched for a while on how to install a custom recovery (TWRP). I downloaded ODIN and flashed it a couple of times but it didn't work, I kept getting a "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" and the screen freezes.
Then I tried Rashr's flash tool to install TWRP for me, and afterwards selected "boot into recovery".
Now i'm stuck in the same screen, but whenever I tried to restart, i get back to it, and can't get back in the system.
What can I do?
I'm unfortunately stuck in a very similar situation.
I was updating the firmware on my tablet to 4.4.2 downloaded off Sammy mobile, uploading using Odin. I've done this dozens of times since my S2 which was 12 handsets and 6 Android tablets ago. This time, about a third of the way through the process hung for a few minutes then the device restarted without warning and now its stuck in a loop where it starts normally

Then says
RECOVERY BOOTING...
RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
Set Warranty Bit : recovery.
Then this

and stays on that screen for short periods before rebooting and starting the above again.
Thanks in advance for any tips or help you guys can provide!

Thanks, but it turns out the solution to my problem was simple. I took it to the place I got it from and the guy just pressed power, vol and menu button long enough until it rebooted. I'm quite a noob it seems.
I'm not sure if it will help you Nationalmaverick, because my problem was slightly different.
Hey!
I was trying to find this problem all around, but no luck. So I'm setting up new thread. Hope not to get redundant
A never rooted S4 mini died for no reason. In the morning we found it powered off and it couldn't be charged, other battery didn't help, nothing.
Long story short I managed to wake it up after complete dissassemble and playing with the battery connectors.
Now it starts up, but after the Samsung Logo it reboots = boot loop.
When I try to enter recovery, it tries to enter (I can see the blue "recovery booting"), but reboots immediately again.
The only thing that works is Download Mode.
So I used Odin to flash all CWM, PhilZ and TWRP subsequently. I got a bit further: in recovery mode it says "No command", then the usual "# MANUAL MODE #" etc and after few seconds it reboots again. So I still can't use recovery.
Does this all mean that the internal SD is fried?
I just need to recover the photos, that's all...
Thanks!
Marek

Same problem with mine I can get in to download mode but recovery mode just says recovery booting then it turns off and back on again in the same loop ie it boots samsung screen then turns off then back on again and so on, I've tried CWM and TWRP odin says everything is good, but i get the same recovery booting and the loop again!
anything else i can try?
thanks
Hey guys,
So I've been running on stock EPD1 and everything had been running smoothly. Last night my phone randomly shut down, even though it was at full battery. After trying to restart it, I got stuck in almost a boot loop. It would boot, and during the Samsung animation, it would freeze and restart. This would happen twice until the phone gave up I guess and the phone stays at a black screen with either a constant blue LED, or a blinking whitish-purple LED. I have tried using ODIN to flash back to stock EPD1 and EPF1. Both were successful in ODIN, but didn't solve anything. I can flash TWRP, but flashing any ROMs doesn't help. Wiping Data, System, Cache, and formatting hasn't done anything as well. I also used the Smart Switch and Kies emergency software recovery and initialization features. Again, both said they were successful, but didn't change anything. Sometimes the boot gets to the point where it says "Android is optimizing apps," but once that finishes, it crashes again. Am I 100% screwed? Thanks to anyone that can offer some advice.
Small update: After using the emergency recovery feature in Kies once more, the phone booted to the green "Android is starting..." screen and it counted through 35 apps and said it was starting. It crashed at that point. Not sure if that's progress.
I'm trying to install TWRP on my Galaxy tab 3 10.1 (Model GT-P5210) using ODIN v3.13.1 which is currently running stock everything. Before trying to install I enabled USB debugging. I did not unlock the bootloader before attempting to install TWRP using ODIN. I do not know how to tell if I have an unlocked bootloader or how to unlock it.
I am installing the version listed here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...covery-twrp-3-x-samsung-galaxy-tab-3-t3340938
I am using the version labelled FLASH WITH ODIN: Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 Wifi: GT-P5210
The file I downloaded is called "twrp-3.0.2-0-santos10wifi.tar.md5"
The first time I tried I left "Auto Reboot" option selected in ODIN. Odin said "PASS!" and booted into Android. When it finished loading I powered off the device and booted to recovery, but it booted to stock recovery, not TWRP.
I read that some people have this problem and that it is fixed by deselecting "Auto Reboot" in Odin. I did that, but after ODIN said "PASS!", I tried to restart the device but was unable to. I tried every possible button combination for 30+ seconds, including combinations that are supposed to simulate disconnecting the battery, but the device did not respond to anything at all. After growing desperate, I flashed TWRP in ODIN again, but selected "Auto Reboot" as this seems to be the only way to get the device to respond after flashing with ODIN. Booting into recovery after this led to stock recovery again. Again I tried flashing with "Auto Reboot" deselected. I again could not restart the phone. After trying to flash again using "Auto Reboot" the flash process got stuck. At this point I could not do anything to get the phone to restart. Eventually I figured out how to get the back cover off and I had to manually disconnect the battery. After reconnecting the battery the device booted into Android just fine and now I am letting it charge.
How can I get TWRP to flash correctly?
I got it to work by selecting the "Auto Reboot" option in Odin, but booting into recovery manually and quickly after the package was installed, but before it had time to boot into android.
I think were having the same issue...
IT WORKED TO ME, TOO! Thanks!
After install the TWRP file via Odin (I installed the file CF-Auto-Root-santos10wifi-santos10wifixx-gtp5210.zip in chainfire.eu domain), the Android restart and THIS is the moment to open the recovery mode: press the power and volume down, and when appear de logo in the screen, release the power button and maintain de volume down.
