I can go into settings turn on nfc but it turns right back off a second later any help would be greatly appreciated

Im rooted with a non stock ROM. When I choose to change WiFi from one network to another my WiFi often switches off instead if connecting to the new network. Anyone else have this?

I had the same issue. Disable AT&T Smart wifi via application manager and it will hopefully fix it.

Forgive me if this is a stupid question. I just noticed that there is a blue load bar status icon whatever you want to call it under the time on my gs3. I've been all over my phone trying to figure out what it is. It is rooted but as I said I've never seen this before. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Then try a different kernel. Other than that idk.
The thing is I don't know if the Nfc antenna is missing or not working like it tried to pass a video to my and it didn't work and the strange thing was my friends Nfc was working. Even with my previous device which was a s2 it was working

the nfc antenna is on the inside of the back cover..

I just recieved a new note 2 from at&t that is unable to power on the wifi and bluetooth. Does anyone know of a fix?

Bring it back asap, if you did not mod it at all and it did that outta the box there is something wrong with it.
If you can not bring it back or claim the manufactures warranty then try a custom rom and see what happens.
