Hello everyone. Today finally root my note 2 but already got one problem. I use Odin and looks like everything was okey. Odin shows me "PASS" and install SuperSU. After rooting i try go to recovery mode and istall ARHD but when i entering in recovery mode i didnt see anything like "Install zip" Basiclly there is only default menu, "wipe data/ reset, cache etc! What should i do now? I never ever in my life did anything like that so have no idea. Should i remove root and try reroot or i can reroot without stock FW installing?
I believe you need a custom recovery.
Download TWRP or Philz Recovery
Mate, FROM? Have no idea.
Btw i tried GooManager but its crash all the time.
Is this the recovery u are seeing?

I want to make a nand backup. I rooted with unrevoked3. When I go to make the backup current rom, I get the message "you must have clockworkMod recovery installed before continuing. Install the recovery thru ROM manager first.
Do I just install (clockworkmod included in unrevoked3 ?) or do I have to do something else first?
You install the recovery via rom manager. when you first fire up that app, you should see an option labeled: Flash ClockworkMod Recovery. It should be at the very top.

Now, if it where ME, i would flash the alternate recovery(located at the bottom) it should look like this:
Amon RA is known to work better when clearing the cache's(for future flashing)
Also note that if you backup in clockwork then flash amon, you can't restore a clockwork nandroid backup and vice versa. good luck mate!!
A very much appreciated Thanks........
Hello all I apologize in advance if this question had been asked before but I have already asked root for my note 2 using the cf auto root I didn't think I needed the toolkit. Well now I want to add a custom Recovery so I can flash roms and I'm not sure how exactly to do that. Some help please

Hi, i have a problem here, I installed CWM rec from apk file and successful.
But today i open flashify and i saw the recovery still stock recovery and i try to boot into recovery and it give me a blackscreen and some fastboot thing. So i had to pull the battery out and restart again, then i tried using quickboot to boot into recovery and the same result. I restart again and this time i reboot into recovery from the apk file. And it successful boot into CWM .
My question is is this normal or not? I saw the guide to boot into recovery using power button +vol down button, but it said to factory reset, and it will reset my data if i am on stock recovery.
I am afraid that will reset my data because now i dont know if my CWM rec working normally or not
I hope someone can help me. Thank you & best regard

Just posting to ask someone more knowledgeable if this is recoverable or if the device is permanently bricked?
I was trying to install Cyanogenmod on my old AT&T Galaxy S3 phone, and now I can no longer access TWRP recovery or anything, it just bootloops into TWRP over and over again with errors.
I'm posting a screenshot, I'm seeing this screen over and over again as it boot loops.
I can still access Samsung's "Download Mode", I tried re-installing TWRP but I see the same bootloop error after installation completes.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
This is the screen I see over and over again. It automatically reboots immediately after this screen.

Nevermind, through some miracle I got it up and running again, and cyanogenmod is installed.
This whole thing started when I installed CF-Auto Root so I decided to try re-installing that through Odin that did the trick!
Which version of cm are you installing? Cm13 comes prerooted as you just have to enable root access via developer settings.
For ROMs that are not prerooted, flash supersu via twrp.
Hi, I'm having problems with trying to mount /system and the rest on TWRP 2.8.70 and TWRP 3.0.2.0. It has been giving me "Failed to /data (invalid arguments)" and the likes (as shown below).
Is there anyway to fix this? I tried to factory reset it a few times through TWRP but it did not work.

*Bump* I need help.
Had the same issue. You need to flash a stock ROM and wipe with stock recovery. All your data will be lost but your partitions will be fine

Sorry for the late reply! I can't access the stock recovery even though I flashed the stock rom multiple times. This tablet belongs to my mother and it randomly died when booting up. This is why I was trying to flash a custom ROM onto the device. Then this issue popped up and now I'm stuck.
