What you need is better battery stats. That will help you find what's draining your battery. Also we don't know what apps you have or what's even draining your phone. Those screenshots don't really give us much to go on

just judging by your 2 screenshots its looking like your phone is constantly looking for a signal. That usually KILLS your battery.

I just posted 2 new ones, I always have service to my knowledge except for one turn in my town and its like 3 minutes, but my screenshots of betterybatterystats says different...

Go to settings/battery and touch the graph at the top. Take a screen shot of the screen that pops up and post it. Here is mine. Curious as to what yours looks like. Also GSAM battery has monitor that will tell you what % your phone's signal has been (second shot).
Sent from the Millennium Falcon somewhere on the Kessel Run

In better battery stats at the top drop down menu take a screen shot of kernel wake locks and partial wake locks. This will tell us what is draining you down.

T-Mo Note II Battery Life Thread: Post Screenies!

Figured I start a thread specifically for the T-Mobile variant. I will say that I'm pretty pleased with the battery life thus far. I hated having to give up the ease of some functionality just so my Samsung OG Epic 4G could make it through the day. Meaning, turning off bluetooth, live wallpaper, wifi, etc.
I feel like I haven't had to do that even though there is a battery saver mode already. I'm currently sitting at 54% and it's been a day since taking it off the charger.
I currently have all the bells and whistles going. Live wallpaper and facial recognition to unlock. S-Pen detection and the whole 9. Anyhow, just wanted to see what everyone else is getting.
I'd be happy with 6 hours screen on time
i had the galaxy s3 before the note 2 and i have noticed huge battery improvements
I was briefly reading through the manual and saw this:
Do not wait until your battery is completely depleted before
charging your device. Repeating this process of a complete
discharge and recharge can over time reduce the storage
capacity of any battery.
Pg 15
just thought I'd pass it along. I usually run my battery all the way down and let it die before recharging:

I'm not getting great battery life yet and have had the phone for over 24 hours since I picked it up yesterday morning. Can't pinpoint wjat could be draining it.

The battery life on this is simply amazing. I am still shocked to see how good it is. I tried everything today to run it down. Barely even used WIFI today. Basically all 4G. Screen brightness was about 50% at least all day. Never below as well. Crazy awesome battery
My battery life is insane. Ive used my phone nonstop all day and its still going. I should easily get between 8-9 hours of onscreen time.

Guys I could use some help my Note lost 30% battery in hours on standby. Checked the stats and Dropbox seems to be the culprit. Anyone ever seen this? This is not a case of Dropbox uploading photos over wifi, I havent taken any. DO I need to remove Dropbox? It will suck if I have too but 30% in hours on standby is brutal!

The battery life is really good on my ATT l317, I work 12 hour shifts, and I play with my phone almost the entire time, playing music (not constantly), videos (not constantly), surfing the internet on wifi, downloading apps, and just navigating my phone, and I still have 40 percent battery life when I get off work, enough juice where I can listen to Tunein Radio on my 40min ride home.

Reminds me of a post I just read, thus guy was having lousy battery life and his phone was super hot, turned out he had a crazy amount of apps running in the background. Check what apps you got and how often they are pulling data etc. I'll edit with a link if I can find it.

Nope it can't be that I barely have any apps on my phone. I don't even have the Facebook app. And no it never gets hot while I'm at home. But as soon as I leave WiFi and I start using data it starts heating up. And like I said in op I don't get poor service in my area so it can't because my phone is searching for service. I'm thinking I just have a defective phone..:/

The GS3 does get hot when it's working hard. That's why people are suggesting a list of what apps show up on your battery list. How is your battery life? If you provide a screengrab of the battery screen that shows the apps and the activity it could give the folks here some information. It's most likely an app that keeps the phone awake and running at full power.
Agreed a screen grab would be excellent, I just found an app that was draining my evo4g from full to absolute zero it was ridiculous especially with a 3500 battery on board. Still waiting for my S3 in the mail, but steal my friends to mess around with when I can 'b

Aosp Battery?

Hi guys. I'm really curious on one thing of the aosp ROMs. They seem to drain a lot of battery. Is it wake locks, or just bad at battery management, etc.? Also, android process takes up a lot of my battery, not screen time.

Horrible battery life. Help

Hopefully someone can help me.
My note (for awhile now) has been getting disgusting battery life. When i 1st got the phone i was getting awesome battery life. But for a few months now i have now (the battery life in the picture is what i normally get)
I know its not the rom as i have tried Clean Rom 5.0 which is 4.1.2. Ive tried Illusion 4.2.2 and now im on BeanStalk 4.3
All the roms give me the same battery life.
Here in the picture my phone was literately in my pocket the whole time. pretty much 0% usage from me.
is there anyway to see what in the "Android OS" is using so much battery?
Of course ...the subject of battery life is highly subjective ...but I'll have a go at it...
Given the statement that your battery life remains virtually the same across multiple platforms ...it leads me to believe the device itself may have an issue ...in particular the battery...
Are you using the original OEM battery ?? If yes ...it may be nearing end of life..or could suffer from cell damage for some reason...
First I'd try a replacement and test your battery life then...
But remember ...any true test needs a benchmark ...so choose a stock or near stock rom that we know about regarding performance etc...
Next ...eliminate any applications that are not absolutely necessary to use your phone ...and avoid Widgets along with live wallpapers...
Then....verify that you are in a good coverage area to the extent possible ...as the phone will "hunt" for signal and consume more power...
All things considered ...the battery is still the likely suspect...
I use a zero lemon battery ...since my stock battery just couldn't keep up any more ...and suffered greatly after about 5 months of heavy abuse by my flashing addiction...
Leave a good stock rom running for at least a week to stabilize the OS...and if battery life suffers ...replace it with a new one ...
Sorry that my reply is not more definative ...but battery drain issues are hard to diagnose without holding the phone in my hand....g

Os is definitely eating away. Download wakelock detector from the play store. Go into settings check advanced so u can see system wakelocks not just downloaded apps. Report back with a screen shot of the Wakelock detector tomorrow and I'm sure someone here can guide u in the right direction.....as long as it's not the battery. To me it just looks like u have a VERY nasty wakelock somewhere.

Ahhh. Now that makes sense. Damn facebook. I believe that is how many times the app woke up ur phone. And the total time is the bar there. That'll do it. Won't deep sleep if it's been woken up 717x in one charge cycle. WOW! I don't have a Facebook so unfortunately that's the extent of my knowledge here. I apologize. But someone has to know. Maybe make another thread and post the SS about the 717x
