Recntly got myself an Amkette smartboard bluetooth keyboard and an Amkette pearl bluetooth mouse since I primarily use my Note 2 as my work phone, with my laptop getting a step motherly treatment.
Now the issue is that after turning on wifi, the bluetooth keyboard and mouse becomes laggy and sometimes stop responding. Turning off the wifi on the phone solves the problem.
I'm currently using a Belkin N150 ADSL modem router.
I've changed the wifi channel to 801.11n, but the issue doesn't get solved.
Is there a way to solve this problem?

Sometimes when I transfsr data with bluetooth and downloading a file over wifi I get problems that make me have to use each separately.
My laptop too does the same

I also expierenced issues. Changed the router frequency to 1 If I recall, and that was that.

Changing the channel to 11 seems to solve some of the problem. When I changed my channel to 1,my router refuses to connect to Internet.

Anyone else with this rom had any issues with reconnection to wifi after restart? When i restart my phone, the wifi is turned on, but it doesn't connect till i go in and tell it to connect to my home wifi. It shows that its still a saved connection too. I experimented a little and noticed its only on the 5g band and that the 2.4g band seems to work fine.

It has been mentioned multiple times: there is a known issue with 4.2.1 based ROMs reconnecting automatically to 5Ghz bands. All of them.

Do you mean 4.1.2? Because this isn't 4.2.1.
For the OP - I haven't had any issues connecting to the WiFi on CleanRom 3.5. Just did a reboot for the heck of it and it obtained an IP right away and worked flawlessly.

are you using a 5g wifi band or 2.4g?
I have the same issue on all 4.1.2 roms I've tried including stock and clean rom.
What router are you using? I have an Asus rt-n66u with custom firmware.

Static ip won't help, yes you can connect to wifi, but cannot get connection to internet. This is a bug of android, and ITs in Princeton univ. had some investigation. It's due to renew and release of address. 4.2 should have fixed it

Guys, I've been using my evo 3d with a native hot spot hack working, but the phone is old and the digitizer is acting up, so I upgraded to the sprint note 2 on boost, I am trying to connect to my parrot asteroid via BT or usb, and have tried blueDUN, BT Dun, cobaltblue 2 and 3 and pdanet+, but none seem to work on the note 2, any other programs to try? I have wifi tether working, but there is no BT option. Any ideas?
bump
If you are rooted you can install WiFi tether app

Anyone have issues connecting from the S3 to another Android device? My phone will be connected for a split second and do the connection. It seems like this only happens for connecting to another device.
Thanks

I transfer over bluetooth all the time without issue.

I was able to connect to my Note 10.1 with no issues yesterday. Trying to connect to an N7 failed instantly but it still paired.

As the title says wifi basically randomly disconnects and reconnects quite frequently(~every 5 sec) only while using the youtube app. At one point i got it to stay connected but the problem returns. The moment i exit the app it returns to normal. Its only been a few days since i purchased it. Is anyone experiencing this? Also it happened once in the play store app but hasnt repeated itself.

Also I should mention that sometimes it fails to reconnect after disconnecting and under the WiFi options menu it says authentication error occurred

I am having the exact same problem. The Google play store gives me connection issues as well. I've tried connection to my router's two networks, the 2.4 the and the 5ghz. My tablet has trouble starting connected to withe one,and it's the only device in my home with that issue.
The problem seems to have resolved itself after a few days and a lot of reboots. Im not sure exactly what was causing it. Hope it works out for you. I know the frustration.

Has anybody who has taken the Kitkat update noticed improvement on bluetooth keyboard connection issues?

Why do you post this in "original development section".

Not sure what connection issues you're referring to. If you mean, does the keyboard go to sleep after a period of time and you have to press a key to wake it up then that hasn't changed.
I still have the same problems in 4.4 as in 4.3. Bluetooth working for a short period and than crashing or wifi unstable.
It's a problem with bluetooth 3.0 keyboards, caused by interference on the 2.4 ghz bandwith. I read there are going to be bleutooth fixes in 4.4.3, but it's not exactly clear what's meant by that.

I use a bluetooth keyboard all day long and see no interference problems.
