After installing http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1998428 I decided to try official MIUI 3.4.26 as well. In both cases for some apps I keep getting this error (title).
I tried many things from reinstalling gapps (+deleting cache, updates and data) to full reinstalls of roms (+ deleting cache, Dalvik Cache and data) but nothing seems to work. Maybe only the apps that give the error (ex. Facebook works on official MIUI while it doesn't on the Custom MIUI).
PS. I really want to fix MIUI because I love it. If it's not possible, I'll sadly change the rom.

Use a root explorer, then go to datadata and delete the folders of apps you wanna install and reinstall those apps from playstore
Otherwise from recovery, Go to mounts and storage and format datadata!
hit thanks if it helped

Hi, @hussam91 may I ask what do you mean by datadata? I can't find this directory. I have deleted the relevant folders from Android/obb (it's a game).

Ok, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I can never get rid of stuff completely.... like my Gapps are still there after everything and all I install is CM
I tried:
Wipe data/user settings
Wipe Cache
Wipe Davlik Cache
I also tried:
Wipe data/user settings
Wipe Cache
Wipe Davlik Cache
Format Data (in Partitions)
Format Cache (in Partitions)
Format Boot (in Partitions)
Format System (in Partitions)
I have tried both these options and I am still left with remnants of previous ROMs. Any suggestions? Do I have to load PC36IMG.zip and then root everytime to have a clean install? Seems a little extreme...

Clockwork 2.5 (previously), but I just switched to RA Recovery v2.2.2 still have Gapps on my phone... CM doesn't include Gapps right? I remember having to install them before unless something changed
Can't get rid of gapps, dude. CM requires it that they be there so they're protected files that you can't erase (unless you flash a new rom, which has all the gapps built in anyway).
I hope you like Google programs, because you are stuck with em

I love Gapps! I just suspect some of my FCs is because I had an older version of them. I am running CM7 now and I have the new GB Gapps but I thought it was odd that Gmail, Maps, etc was still on there before I even flashed the new Gapps
So to answer my original question, there is no way to completely wipe short of reimaging with PC36IMG and rooting again?
Run FORMAT_ALL from the post below. Once its down booting your new install, do not put your information into the setup wizard (just keep hitting skip). This will get you a clean install. REMEMBER FORMAT ALL WILL ERASE EVERYTHING ON YOUR PHONE (not sdcard/recovery/boot/s-off).

I'll give it a go, but according to Caulkin's thread all it is doing is what I did already! (wipe data, cache & format boot/system) I will try it out though. Thanks!
I did never try skipping the setup wizard... Hmm

This is the key, it will not restore the old apps, if you skip the wizard.
Well, I did it! Yippee!
I did the following this time around:
Wipe data/user settings
Wipe cache
Wipe Davlik cache
Ran Caulkin's Format_all.zip
Installed CM7 nightly
Funny thing is, it bypassed the setup altogether... I'm guessing because Gapps were finally gone! It brought me right to the home screen, I opened up apps and no Gmail, no Market, nothing! Finally!
So I rebooted Recovery, installed GB Gapps and I am running smooth as butter (No FCs yet!)
Thanks everyone! Especially bwcorvis for the link to Caulkin's script
Glad i could help
After about one day running either rom my gapps or google services framework gets constant force closes. I've tried clearing the cache through settings and wiping through titanium backup and it just keeps happening. How can I go about fixing this?
really No one wants to try and help? It is seeming to happen every time I install flash from the market anyone think of any suggestions how to go about fixing it?
Run a FORMAT_ALL.zip and only use the official gapps packages from http://goo-inside.me/gapps/#versions
Note that a FORMAT_ALL.zip (search in this forum to find it) does exactly what it says: Formats all of your internal partitions (except WiMax, of course); /system, /data, /cache, and /boot.
I have run into problems updating apps on the market (such as GoLauncher..)
I am on DarkForest ROM RC2... I moved the Dalvik Cache to /Cache.
I get the errors:
"There is insufficient space on the device"
and
"The package file is invalid"
when trying to update apps.
I have tried using Root Explorer to delete everything from /data/dalvik-cache/ and /cache/dalvik-cache.
I have tried using Titanium backup to clean out the Dalvik Cache.
I have tried booting into recovery mode and wiping both Cache and Dalvik-Cache and battery stats.
I have a rooted, bootloader unlocked, R800i in the UK on Orange.
According to Titanium Backup Pro, my space is as follows:
System ROM: 130MB free
Internal: 172MB free
SD Card: 10.9GB Free
I have also tried using MarketFix, and wiping the Market and Market Updater, and Download Manager Caches, removing updates from Market and Market Updater (and this helped once, but I don't want to keep doing this!)
Can anybody please tell me why this happens?
It should be noted that within Root Explorer, cache/Dalvik-cache and data/dalvik-cache are practically full every time I check, even after reboots.
Edit:
I did something on Titanium Backup where I integrated updates of system apps into ROM, and now I can't remove my Market updates.. :/
After reading this, it appears this may have been a mistake.....
Ideas?

MOST likely reason is due to - I am on DarkForest ROM RC2... I moved the Dalvik Cache to /Cache. - moving the dalvik cache to cache on 2.3.4 is not good.
Was going to say can I reverse moving dalvik... but screw it..
I'm moving onto DarkForest RC3 tonight...

thank me I have helped.
also you can edit a init.d script and remove a file but can't remember where.
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
I have thanked now, sorry mate
I installed DarkForest 3.0.5, dalvik is now back to normal, and market works as normal.
Thanks
Hi everyone, three days ago i updated my Galaxy Nexus to the latest 4.2 version, from the stock 4.2 (the one without december in the people app).
Yesterday i started to realize some weird behaviors with overall apps, and here are some of them:
. Câmera app : Photo is taken, but can't visualize it
. Galery app : Shows ammount of photos in each album, but all the thumbnails are solid gray, and no photo can be selected for visualization
. Swiftkey Keyboard : Keeps raising error related to "Dynamic Language Packs" (since swiftkey stores the dynamic packs in the sdcard/internal storage, this might be another access issue)
. All apps that use camera activity : Camera is loaded but once i took the photo, it does not return to the app, and the camera app keeps open. No photo is returned to the app that invoked the camera aswell
. Dropbox : Can't export to internal storage any file, sometimes it manages to finally "read" the internal storage and show me directories structure, and sometimes it doesn't. In both situations, file "fails to export".
This seems a really weird behavior to me, and i thought that it might be a "Permission" issue, so i got in recovery mode and fixed permissions, but nothing got solved.
Is there any other step i might take before having to actually try a full wipe / factory reset ?
Having to reinstall / reconfigure all the apps is a pain in the butt, and since i can't backup them with titanium because of the internal storage issue, i would have to do it "manually".
By the way : Play store can update and download apps with no problem at all, so this is not a hardware issue for sure.
Try this wipe cache via recovery and dalvik cache and then flash latest root.
This should work.

Wiping cache and Dalvik Cache will not erase all my internal storage right ?
EDIT: Wiping Cache and Dalvik have not worked
Weird Issue:
After booting up into recovery mode, and try to Install .ZIP from sdcard, the CMW does not actually find any other folder in my sdcard than some weird ones like "0", "odb" and "legacy".
What are those folders ?
Why it does not sees the other folders ?

Nevermind, i just reinstalled the Factory Stock 4.2 Android and updated to 4.2.1 OTA
Then i rooted it and everything is ok now.
Just curious is it normal for android 5.0 to use so much dalvik cache mine is about 450mb I used titanium backup clear dalvik cache after restart android optimizing again at boot up.
TiBu seems to have been abandoned by the developer, I just tried to email them about not being able to write to my external SD card and it was returned as a bad address. If it is still in active development, it's not ready for Lollipop yet. It told me my dalvik cache is loaded with over 300MB of unnecessary files, but I know that isn't true.
Thanks, unable to write SD card has to do with android is not with TiBu you need to find way to enable SD card writibility. Not only TiBu shows dalvik cache loaded over 450mb I'm able find the folder with root explorer in my system it lol like user apps are associated in dalvik cache.
Yeah. I used es file Explorer to try to write to SD and it opened a file manager from lollipop and said to unhide the SD card so I did and now I can write to it.

Lollipop did not totally abandon dalvik cache. All it did it is to write pre compiled files to dalvik folder when installing while back in KitKat the system did not compile apps during installation but compile them just before them run (JIT). If you somehow delete/cleared all/some cached dalvik files in lollipop, system will try to re-compile the corresponding app so that you don't have to compile before they run.
Whenever an app updates via google play system compiles it during installation. However, when apps are updated via system update (Odin, ZIP flashing, OTA,you name it) , system will recompile the new apps which is why the first boot of lollipop takes so much time ( It is compiling all upgraded app!!).
Because TiBackup does not compile apps when restoring them, when you try to run the restored app, lollipop will try to find the pre-compiled file under dalvik cache directory but the correct one is not there. Therefore the app will not run properly. This is why after TiBackup restore in lollipop, always clear dalvik cache and cache and reboot. The restored app will be compiled correctly after during rebooting~ The same applies to Zip/Odin flashing too.
