Having owned an HTC Desire, Desire HD and now a Sensation I know that HTC do something daft to their handsets that prevent you recording the caller's voice. You can hear your own voice in the recording, but I've yet to find any app that works with an HTC Android phone to record both parts of the call - even if it works with other manufacturers handsets.

bTunes

Hi There!
I just installed bTunes and realised that artist/song names are not displayed right... see here:
http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/3328/snap20110108042600.png
I mean, that the artist/ song names are not centered.
Is this a common error? Or just on the HTC Desire?
What can I do to fix it?
Regards

anyone?
I searched for that bug, but couldnt find anything, pls help!
I'm wondering this as well..
That would be a problem with the software itself. Comment on the app and it hopefully will get fixed later on.

Same problem here.
Optimus one 2.2 Stock [except kernel]

I think that developer abanoned the application...

Allcallrecorder ?http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/tools/allcallrecorder_frcn.html
Or you might want to try this one here . http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/communication/2way-call-recorder-free_orcr.html trial version only supports 60sec of record but there is a paid version of the same . Release notes say upgraded to 2.3 support
I would love to see a pocket Quicken type application that fully syncs with the desktop application using wifi. It is the only app I have not found an equivalent coming from WM.

Well from what iv'e read so far (i love google) Quicken are pretty much calling it a day . But some good news is that they appear to have merged with mint.com who do infact have an app out http://www.mint.com/features/android/ I don't know if this will do what you need it to or even if it's close to what you want but might be worth a browse around for you
Thanks, Mint would be interesting but it is currently only for the US and Canada it seems. I am waiting on MoneyDance to hopefully release a Android App, they have an iPhone App that syncs with their desktop app.

[Q] call rec app for HTC One X

need a 2 way call record app.
I have treid about 20 apps from the market and nothibg records at all. No sound of either side of call.
I really need this app. I am not tech saavi but am a quick learner.
Please help....what can i do.....
Are you try "call recorder" ??
For me not problem
https://rapidshare.com/files/4250011525/com.skvalex.callrecorder.37.apk
Hi,
I tried the above recommend call recorder (had it on my Desire too), unfortunately it don't work on the One X at all. It records nothing just displays a red call recorder icon to let you know it is not working. It probably needs root and a custom kernel as my Desire did.
I have a post here you might be interested in....

Oliver
Btw, it worked flawlessly on my Desire with root and custom kernel

Guys I don't think there is a need to make a million posts regarding this issue.
Bigoliver has already started a post regarding this matter.
A developer has already agreed to resolve this issue in due time. So just be patient.

[APP] - S-Voice from SGS3

Here it is:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/5cmb7i
I've extracted from the SGS3 rom leak and uploaded to SS.
It installs fine, it starts off with a delay but after a few minutes it works well. Works with calling and SMS. Seems fine bit buggy but working.
ok and this application is what more or better than vlingo
it is useful to test or not
Thanks for the upload! Some features work, others don't, one problem is though that the apps speech doesn't seem to be the same as shown on the videos, could this be because of lack of Wolfram Alpha or something? (Or am I just talking rubbish lol)
you're talking rubbish...
the voice has nothing to do with the app itself,
it uses which ever is the default tts on the phone,
you want a new voice get a different tts

lol I thought I might be, any idea on which TTS the original S Voice uses?
It can't set an alarm. But weather and texting is working. Going to test it out and see wich tasks it can and wich ones it cant

It works very good, just a slightly bit choppy.
Here is a video

I would highly recommend for everyone to go on the Play Store and install Ivona Amy UK English Beta application, then set it as your default TTS (to do this open the application) S-Voice sounds 10 times better and more natural like this.

I downloaded the one from here

Working flawlessly, GPS is a little off but I think it's because of the One X.
Pretty neat and amazed how it actually works pretty well. Can turn off things like wifi etc...
Awesome but I can't get setting the alarm working

It think S-Voice is actually vlingo since when you authorize Facebook it ask permission for vlingo not S-Voice.
Not bad but I'll stick with AIVC. It works smoother for me and the voice output is much better. The male voice is very nice, hehe.

Yes it's used!
Could it be because of Google Now that they removed it from the keyboard, or can you configure it in keyboard settings?

I find it very useful for safer texting while driving, you really don't have to take your eyes off the road if you user the speech to text.

Funny, yesterday when driving I was sending a text, so I remembered this thread and thought I'd give it a go...connection problem I suppose you need a good signal strength?
No, it is not removed. Go to setting, language and keyboard and then turn on Google voice. Go to a Message open it,the keyboard Will pop-up then turn down the upper screen and you will see an option to select input mode, by default is set Htc input. So if you select that notification you will be able to select speech recognition.
Hoe you understand what I says.
