Hi,
This is not "jailbreak", but "unlock" the term used.
To unlock your phone, installed a rather custom rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1485569

thanx!
of course i have to backup all my data before flashing, right?
and is the whole process risky?^^

I personally haven't done it, but from what I understand you should be able to on both counts. Back up first, just to be safe.

Well I would not care if I didn't have root. that's kinda what I'm trying to do; unroot. But keeping root would be nice
What would the difference between a European stock rom and a Bell Canada stock rom? I look forward to the stock rom. Thanks

I don't think so. I flash it and I turn my device back on and it's the same. And I supposed to keep all the files laying out on the desktop? And I'm supposed to wipe all my data right?

In order to avoid potential Force crashes amongst other issues it's generally advised to wipe via clockworkmod.
Well for a proper link to it, we'll need to know more like is your Wildfire S GSM or CDMA?

I managed to recover it but I not longer have root . And a lot of things are different from the Bell Stock rom. So I'm doing something else now. thanks though
Q
If you have lost root, there is a tutorial very easy to follow on how root your phone just look in the android development section
Flash "root.zip" located in this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195275 This should hopefully resolve your issue of losing root.
Actually i see no differences between EU and others other than the languages ... and why not flashing any RUU ?

Thanks. I rooted my phone again. The rom isn't the same as the stock bell one, but I guess it's good enough. My Wildfire S is VERY slow though. I have tried many things to make it faster

Installing Android in HTC nand

Hello to all,
i followed a guide to install android in the nand of my rhodium 100 with task29 method, but wasn't of this site. After flashing the image from sdcard and rebooting, after loading the minipooploader (blue screen), my smartphone is locked and does not accept any commands. What can I do? Can I go back to WinMo and how? My pc is based on Win7 64bit. Please help me.
Thank you very much.
Max
Why did you post this in development?
No clue what you've done, you say you've used stuff from another site - so I'm not sure why you're asking for help here?
I'd say flash back WinMo. Problem solved.

You could ask for help on the site that provided the guide that you followed. As we don't know anything about that, we can only guess what you did wrong.

Flash a rom from the sd card, or use the flashing rom tools included with the roms.

[Q] How can I get my device to boot? Stuck on LG bootscreen

So I thought myself fairly competent with roms and such as this is my third smartphone and i've never had that many big errors before.
I used the universal root method and FreeGee and used stock with root for a few weeks, was good. Today I downloaded the CM 10.1 unofficial rom and the gapps and did a TWRP backup. I tried to copy it from my phone to my PC and USB HD using both Linux and Windows. Whenever it got to the data part it would error, I couldn't even rename it. As far as I know, this backup may be no good. I did this backup three full times, eventually using just boot, system and data.
I wiped data, system, cache and dalvik. I installed the CM10.1 rom and tried to boot. sticks on the LG boot screen. I can get into the recovery, tried to do the restore, said successful. Still sticks on the boot screen for LG.
Did I miss some step? At this point I'd be glad going back to stock.
Can you boot to download mode?

I'm not sure where that is. Can you provide a link? Also I can get into Recovery/twrp. I am frustrated that CM won't install for me. I checked my TWRP backup folder, there is just data and system, and I need boot to restore that, right? So frustrated that the backup is bunk and CM won't install properly. I can't find any clear instructions on the process anywhere on the forums. Just wipe, install CM and then boot, right?

Thank you SO MUCH! I have been looking all day for a viable option and this is the first thing that has looked good so far. You're an angel! Or a secular hero figure, if that floats your boat. Either way, you rock!

That's the problem, in order for a restore to work you would have had to back it up without any secure lock screen. I'll look around if there's a method of fixing it but I don't think there is.
