Hello, is there anyway to add a functional widget or shortcut to the main status bar without having to pull down the notification drawer? Or overlap a widget over it? UCCW hotspot maybe? I see apps that let you change existing icons and positioning of battery signal time etc, but need something that lets me add a tappable shortcut in there...
Even if i can add just the icon, maybe I can use GMD gesture control to add an invisible tappable area linked to a widget/shortcut/app?

Thanks for the reply. I use LMT but it doesn't give me a functional visual button in/on the status bar persistant off of the home screen.

Is there a way to edit the shortcuts on my lock screen to make them spread out more? They seem to be bunched up in the middle a little bit. Maybe its for one hand use?....but I think it makes me have to aim more closely when I am quickly trying to access my music player...or camera.

I'm on the official tmo jb, but it should be the same. It bunches up the icons on the lockscreen if you have less than 5. Go into the lockscreen settings and add another shortcut.

That did it. Thanks. Shortcuts are nice and spread out evenly.

I can't remember, but on ICS couldn't you only have 4 lockscreen targets? I didn't realize I could now put 5 on there, so thanks for the heads up. :good:
Is there any way to hide a notification bar icon? I always have my alarm set and don't want my notification bar to be crowded.

I don't think there's an option within touchwizz, but I use a 3rd party app and there's no icon.

You could ask the nice folks in some of the apps and themes threads to remove it for you. But it would be something you will have to flash, assuming you're rooted, and flash to restore if you ever want it back.

I would love to help you, but help yourself first: ask a better question

Nova has the option to hide it if you don't want to root.

It's native in some roms. AOKP, and Vanilla Rootbox have it for sure. ParanoidPreferences in a few other roms allow you to change the launcher's status bar transparency.
Sorry, if you want to mod whatever rom you are using, I don't have any info for you.
its in the tw-framework.apk i think (if on aosp its in the framework-res.apk)... do you know how to modify it? btw it wont look right when you open an app since it will stay transparent.
If you flashed *DaRTHSTALKER S3 EDITION VERSION X1 on your phone, you can get the systemui.app from here.

There is no way to do it only for the home screen/lock screen?

well there technically is... but someone smarter than me would have to add a function to the files where when you opened an app it went to the original color, then when you left it back to transparent. (rather difficult IMO)
it would be similar to the way the s4 is going to be and what miui already does

If you hover over an actionbar item (like send, back, forward) then it turns blue and tells you what you're clicking on.
You can also install any hover icon you want. In the themes section theres a thread for icons and spen sounds. Think you have to be rooted tho

Sounds not icons in that thread. Icons are possible though. Did it it on the note 2
Does anyone know where the cursor image is located?? I'm willing to try and change it myself but I've only found a post on a different. Site about how to get a cursor on cm. Roms. ..tried that and nothing changed...I am running Darth stalker
Is it possible to make it so the status bar is on the bottom of the screen?

That involves editing a lot of code. Have you ever decompiled any apks before? You could start digging around in the systemUI apk. It might be pretty difficult but a cool project.

If you want to do it manually, check out THIS thread. Or you should be able to do it with Xposed settings. Check out the thread HERE, and also THIS one.
