Thanks for the reply, really appreciate it. I wanted my phone to be rooted and unlocked tho, and TeenyBins is suppose to do that. But I do not understand the instructions, and how I understand it is-- Loading the downloaded .bin file in LGNPST? Is that correct?

First you must download the LGNPST program. I can't link it to you because we are not allowed to link the program. You can find the LGNPST link in the IRC, so ask there and they will link you. (make sure you read the steps that are given to you in the IRC on how to properly set up LGNPST)
Once LGNPST is running correctly on your computer, download the teenybin.
Select the correct .dll
Select the correct teenybin you want to flash.
Turn off phone. Connect phone to computer via USB.
Go into Download mode on your phone (Press and hold Vol Up+Vol Down+Power). Do this while phone is off and you will boot into download mode.
Now press start in LGNPST and it will flash the teenybin.
You will not be stuck in the LG boot logo anymore. I did these steps because I also was stuck a while back in the LG boot screen and the teenybin does help.

I've already done those steps and in completely stock Android 4.1.2 ZVB. I understand now that you have to flash the TeenyBin .bin file in LGNPST to unlock the phone, which I had trouble doing on FreeGee which led me to softbrick and go back to stock and to reset it. My question is, does TeenyBin file root your phone or do I have to root it and then load TeenyBin file on LGNPST to unlock?

I believe that if you're completely stock (non-rooted) and you flash a teenybin once you are in recovery. TWRP will root for you.
Don't take my word for it, but I believe that one of those devs that worked on the teenybin said that.

Back again and after 2 times of restocking with LG Tool. I followed this guide to root and unlock (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2050582). Rooting seems to work 100% with this guide but after unlocking with FreeGee, I shut down my phone and LG Boot seems to just be looping forever... SO, anyways, I am rooted again and wanted to see if using TeenyBins will unlock my phone... Im afraid of anymore bricks and possibly a permanent one. Should I go flash it? Also I'm new to the rooting and unlocking thing and I have a bad English so please bear with me.

your issue is you need to "SBL unlock"
so you can either use TeenyBin AltBin or just go all the way back to stock.. then using FreeGee app.. open it.. hit menu button > select "sbl unlock" > get code > enter code > then unlock like normal.
if you want to use teenybin but plan on staying stock... id suggest "TeenyBin ZVBin". the other teenybin files are more for fixing softbrick/unlocking.. and then getting u into twrp recovery to flash a custom rom zip.

i was under impression u couldnt boot.
if you want to use the rom you linked...
download the rom zip AND gapps zip... stick them on internal sdcard... power off phone and boot into Download Mode... flash LS970 TeenyBin AltBin. after you flash teenybin altbin your phone will reboot at 67% then probably get stuck at boot. power off and boot into fastboot(vol up + power).. then boot into recovery from there.
once inside twrp recovery.. do a factory reset.. then flash rom zip.. then flash gapps zip... reboot.

Holy cow... Thanks for the SBL Unlock I got everything working! Finally I can load this rom Thnak you again.

teeny bin rocks
Teeny bin saved my booty twice it rocks

:victory: The application helped restore my phone back to normal after I used the orginial stock bin, but after I used the teenybin and flashed Vanilla Rootbox I noticed my battery life drains a lot faster than usual. My usage on the phone is REALLY heavy like, it would last up to 6 hours and I recharge it when it hits 60% while I'm in class, (I'm a senior at high school).. I can admit I mess up my battery life. Is there a way to fix it?

If you wish to flash your flash your P930 back to stock, download this file;
http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/swdata/WDLSW/LGP930/AATTKT/V20c_00/V20c_00.kdz (It should be about 408.65mb)
Then follow this steps to flash the KDZ file; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2044645 - thanks to hereric. I can confirm that the steps would also work in 64bit windows 7.
If your phone would not enter download mode, follow this steps by atifsh;
1: remove battery
2: plug in the usb cable (should be connected to pc also)
3: while pressing vol up insert battery
you should be in download mode now. Please make sure your battery is well charge i.e above 50% before commencing as your phone might get bricked if your battery runs empty during the process. The process should take about 10-15min and use about 25% battery capacity.
YOU CAN NOW USE Root with Restore by Bin4ry TO ROOT. JUST SELECT NORMAL MODE.
all thanks to the One who taught by the pen, He taught man what he(man) knew not.

Go to this link here:

Make sure you do this from a computer. Click on download & manual. And download the mobile support tool. There will be an emergency RESTORE in the app where it will download the v20c kdz file and install. No need to use any of the kdz installers found on xda.

So what I am wanting to do, is flash a custom ROM to the phone, It's rooted, I have CWM installed, I have the gapps and a few roms I want to test out. But every time I go to flash, they come out to be successful, yet when I reboot my phone, it takes me into the recovery for the device and says:

How to root the g510-200

to root your g510-200
Step 1: download and install Huawei drivers on your pc
Step 2: unlock your bootloader at this site http://www.huaweidevice.com/worldwide/servicePolicy.do?method=preUnlock you will have to wait a day or so for your code. follow instructions on that website to unlock your bootloader.
Step 3: download
installTWRPg510.zip
Click to collapse
OR
installCWMg510.zip
Click to collapse
and extract to desktop.
Step 4: go to settings on your phone, enable usb debugging and turn fast boot off. Now connect you phone to your pc in fastboot mode (start phone while holding volume down to enter fastboot mode. phone will stay on boot animation) go to the folder on your desktop and click the install-windows batch file. press any key to reboot. you now have cwm or twrp recovery installed.
Step 5: copy UPDATE-superSU.zip to your sd card and reboot phone into recovery by starting the phone while holding down the volume up button. choose install zip from sd card and flash
UPDATE-superSU.zip
Click to collapse
your phone is now rooted. keep this file in your sd card because some custom roms don't have root and you will need to re-flash this file. if superSU doesnt show up in your apps just download it from marketplace its free.
Step 6: make a back up of your stock rooted rom before you start flashing any custom roms.
I have tested this myself!
I have a g510-0200 with b189 optus firmware and i rooted my phone this way. Then restored it to stock factory b173 rom then rooted it again. So it works very well on both firmwares. :good:
ROMS!!!!
There are plenty of roms to try here! http://www.modaco.com/topic/365268-all-custom-roms-for-huawei-ascend-y300g510/ you can flash y300 (u8833) roms on your g510 too. you can flash custom g510-0100 roms on your g510-0200 phone and visa versa as long as your flashing them in a custom recovery. However if you are downloading factory stock firmware from huawei and installing it via the dload method on your sd card you MUST have the correct firmware eg: g510-0200 on a g510-0200 phone. This is only what ive read and im not willing to brick my phone. correct me if im wrong?

It will be really a great help if you can reply fast!!!
Im new to rooting so... Yeah...

[Q] Please get me Stock Bootloader from KDZ

Hi everyone.
I'm so frustrated for a week to get get back to Stock Recovery Menu from CWM Recovery. The problem is, I want to restore Stock Firmware for my LG Optimus G E973 but it won't work unless I role back to Stock Recovery Menu. I've been searching around for it but no luck. Now the only hope is to get Stock Recovery image and push it into the phone and I think the only ways to get it is, someone backup Stock Recovery from the same phone model or extract it from original Stock ROM image. I failed to do so. For the convenience to download the KDZ file, I uploaded it to Google Drive with the link below. I bag you, PLEASE, help me get Stock Recovery image from the .kdz file I uploaded for you. I will wait for your response every seconds and thank in advance.

Why not just flash back the official kdz? The download mode works regardless you have stock recovery or CWM.
I did. it won't work. I used KDZ_FW_UPD_EN with .kdz file while putting my phone in Download Mode. Then the program restart the phone to proceed the installation but CWM recovery appear instead of stock recovery and nothing happen.

You need to flash official full KDZ upgrade. What phone you have originally? F180 or E975? or some other? Wipe + Factory reset in recovery before putting into download mode. (The major nuisance with this set is all you can do is power button thingi and no battery pullouts.

Cant boot into recovery

Hey guys, new to the forum and am looking for some guidance here. I've had my LGOG going great with CM11 and one day I put it on the charger when the battery got down to 1%. The next morning I grabbed my phone and it was off and refused to turn on. I was able to get it on by holding volume up + power and plugging it into a charger or PC but only when it was plugged in. I replaced the battery already to rule that part out. So now i've followed this guide and everything went fine,I flashed Teenybin SBLunlockhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2230106. Only thing is for some reason i cannot boot into recovery mode, fastboot and download mode work fine but when i choose recovery from fastboot the phone shows a google logo and a small lock on the bottom of the screen and then turns off and show's the charging icon. I've been at it for hours and cannot get into recovery to flash a new rom.
My question for yall is am I wasting my time with this? I'm still not convinced that this is not a hardware failure since nothing on the phone works unless plugged into power. Any thoughts would help a ton otherwise i'll have to just cough up the cash for a new one. Thanks in advance guys.

Your battery was probably fine so I would keep it around. That just seems to happen sometimes.
The recovery that teenybins installs is not CM11 compatable. So you need to install a KK recovery, or ADB sideload a Stockish ROM.
For ADB sideload to install a Stockish Rom go here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36270473
To install a recovery through fastboot, DL it from here. http://downloads.codefi.re/shelnutt2/freegee/LG-LS970/ These are for KK
And to install it using fastboot.
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
You may need to do a factory reset to get it to boot.

Forgot to tell ya, just pull the recovery image from the zip and use it with fastboot.

Thanks for the reply, this helped me get along with ADB and SDK but i'm still not clear on it. I've got the recovery image needed and ADB running but not sure how to flash the recovery image to the phone. I tried following the guide in the link you provided but it wants you to get into recovery mode on the phone and enable ADB mode but I cant get into my recovery on the phone. Problem. Again though thanks for you help, much appreciated. This learning process brings me back to my days of modding the old Xbox.
So just thinking about your last post, did you recommend installing a stock rom first and then try to install the new recovery image? I am able to put the phone into download mode and i've used LGNPST to push a full stock ZVB rom to it, seemed to work but I didnt know if that was the right way to go and flashed the Teenybin SBL unlock again.

You said you had fastboot. So you can use fastboot to load the kk recovery using those commands. If unsure just google it. Lots of info on fastboot.
As for sideload that was just to get a stock ROM on your SD.
If you lgnpst zvb then your phone should boot up and needs to update to zvc before you do anything else.
But if you flashed teenybins then you should have recovery and be able to flash the kk recovery. Power+ vol up gets recovery. Dn twice on vol button, then power gets you to recovery.
Check the FAQ and root guide. All this info is in there if it's confusing.

I got ya, so I'm making sense of it all after a bit and I have more info if it helps. I've been able to get ZVB on there (via LGNPST) and i'll update to ZV9 just in case yet no matter what i do i cannot get recovery to boot. I get into fastboot and choose Recovery ( locked and unlocked) but when i hit the power button to choose recovery I get nothing, it shuts down. I'll keep at it and give a progress report if I make any.
UPDATE: Ok so I can only access (on phone) Fastboot when i flash one of the Teenybin files. The stock ZV9 and ZVB just show me the LG logo and go back to the battery icon. So, I flashed teenybin SBL unlock again got the phone into fastboot. I opened a terminal on my PC with ADB running and my phone in Fastboot connected to my PC (LG Drivers installed). When i choose adb sideload recovery.img and it says "device not found". Still working on it but havent gotten past this yet.
Im still wondering if there is hardware failure since I flashed ZVB and the phone still will not boot up period unless it's connected to PC/charger.
Do this then. Grab the zvc bin from the root guide. That is the most current and it has the right modem. Zvb and zv9 have the wrong modem.
Also it sounds like you have stock recovery. Which you will if your using zv? bins.
Then after using zvc bin, use teeny bin. That'll get you to twrp recovery. In twrp flash the kk recovery and you should be good to go.

Gave it a shot, flashed ZVC and then after that did Teenybin SBL unlock and same thing. I get it into fastboot, choose recovery and then the phone show's a google logo with alittle lock on the bottom and then goes to black screen then to charging icon. :silly: I'll keep at it.
Update, a friend gave me some help and I was able to flash the recovery image you linked to me via ADB but still no change in the phone. On teenybin in fastboot, select recovery and still get the same google logo and small lock, then goes to power screen.
Haha, seems you've been down this road before. Found this while searching around, I'm giong to try the steps in the last two post's of the thread. Thanks for the help Engine.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2535874&page=3
UPDATE: unfortunately no change, left the phone on the charger for a few hours but still stuck with no usable recovery mode and phone only responds while plugged in. Think i'll chalk this up to some type of hardware failure.
Will your phone even boot to the stock ROM? If it does, try installing Quickboot from the PlayStore. See if that'll get you into recovery.
I can't remember if it's in the root guide or the FAQ, but I posted another option for a battery issue like yours. Try it and see if it'll do more.
There's some commands that'll wipe through adb. I'll see if I can find them.

There's something we're missing here, so lets start at the beginning
LGNPST ZVC again. This SHOULD get you going.
Now you will have stock recovery. To enter stock recovery, press vol down+power The LG logo will come on, then the capacitive lights. Immediately let go when the capacitive lights turn on. It takes a few seconds to work. And maybe a few tries to get it.
IF that all happens, then in stock recovery, do a Factory reset. IT WILL WIPE YOUR SD/INTERNAL STORAGE!!
Now your phone should boot up to stock ROM.
If that doesn't work, go to ADB and issue these:
adb shell
"dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/cache"
adb shell
"dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata"
These will zero out /cache and /data
Reboot your phone and it should boot up
If not, you may need to LGNPST ZVC one more time and you should be good to go
If no dice again, you might need to try a battery pull, which you should know seeing as how you replaced the battery.
That's about all I got....you could also try getting on the irc and see if someone there has more idea's
Good luck! :fingers-crossed:
Edit: I forgot to tell you that in Stock recovery, use the capacitive menu key to select. The Power button doesn't do it in Stock recovery. Menu is the bottom right of the display and I don't think it's lit, but I'm not sure.
Thank you sir, i'll give this a shot tonight when i get back home. I'll keep my fingers crossed but i've located another LGOG on Craigslist for 80$, might not be able to pass up that deal.
Update: still no go, I agree there is something missing here. When i flash ZVC all goes like it should but the phone still just flatout wont do anything unless on external power. I went ahead and did a battery pull but no change. It's like we're doing everything correctly here but it wont let us past fastboot or download mode. Either it's software or this thing may have fried. I'm going to bring it to a friend here in town and see what he can do, he's a guru in this department but I wanted to figure this out on my own. If we get this back up and running I will for sure update this thread, hopefully it can help some folks out there. Thanks again for the help Engine, I wont give up until i know exactly what happened and i'll pass it along.

LG G4 - Boot problem - Download mode works

Hi,
I have problem with my LG G4 (H815). I has stacked at boot screen and sometimes it is able to boot to home screen but after a few second of work, it restarts again. Few days ago the situation was the same but after a few attempts it booted normally. I can normally enter recovery mode and download mode.
Has anyone idea what to do to recover data (photos) from it?
I will probably try to flash stock firmware via LG Tool but I don't know which version is now installed and I cannot find a proper kdz file.
Can anyone help to find a proper kdz file for this phone? and give a link to quide how to flash phone without wipe data?

I don't have TWRP installed. If I have and access to download mode and stock recovery, is there any method that let me install TWRP to recovery data, if I can't boot to home screen?

o when you mentioned recovery i wasnt expecting the stock recovery.. so does your phone boot.? does it have the infamous bootloop when you see logo and it reboots again into a bootloop sometimes optimizing apps then reboots..?
if so i think the only way to recover data its to use the freezer method.. search for it... sorry
if its bootloop then its hardware and needs to be sent to LG just make sure the moisture strips arent allow to get losit or water.
is there any way to force bootloop???? with a kdz file or changing something with root permision ??? i need to send my phone to the SAT

You need to have an unlocked bootloader to do so.
What are the first 3 digits of your serial number (sticker behind battery)
If it starts with 5xx your chances are good to have the boot loop issue which is hardware related.
Try the freezer method to recover and send the device to LG for replacement.
