So, I've been using CleanGB 1.1.2 for a few weeks, and I tried flashing a cm7 rom. Didn't like how much issues I was having, so I restored my old CleanGB rom. Ever since, my battery life is pathetic. I have an extended battery, usually charge it from 40% to 100% while I sleep. Now, its always charging because it dies so fast.
Take a look at the links, anyone have any answers? Thank you!

Try wiping battery stats....
If you don't know how the process works you can look at Qbking77's video on it- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbYVv4nCveM
Percentages don't tell us anything. What is your display on time? What is listed in running services? How much deep sleep is your phone getting? These are all that matter, not the battery screenies.
If you have 30 minutes screen on time with high intensity and are syncing something in a poor signal area that percentage is typical. If your phone is just sitting there and it drops that much an hour later then there is an errant app not closing.
Wiping battery stats does nothing... id recommend follow kenny's advice here, we can't really help you if you don't help us help you =].

How can I prevent apps from opening in the background? Like, games for some reason are in my backgrounded apps. I never opened that game, so why is it starting?
Any advice on making sure these apps don't start unless I make it start myself?

My phone also restarts itself at 8% battery. Annoying. I'm about to just change phones.

Hmm you might have a bad phone or there's something wrong. Id try going back to stock. Then re root and try a solid ROM. Like kennys's people rom or something else... see if that helps at all...

Problem is clear, all stats are fine except android system and display,no way is display that low it should be at least 60% the higher the better as it uses the most battery out of the lost batt, android system is way to high and I don't think there is a way to check what exactly it is, I would say flash a new rom.I had abnormally high cell standby and the other cell think I forgot the name haha, flashed a new rom (reaper 2.2.2) and I've had normal stats with display using the most. Get cpuspy battery monitor widget and spareparts and analyse your batt

They preload part of their code so that they open quicker when you want them. You can either use Autostarts to stop them or get paid version of Titanium Backup and freeze them until you want to use them or uninstall them.

On touchwiz? I don't know I've not been on it since cm9 released. But on cm9/aokp I get around 16hours with 4 being display. Or with my 3500 I get about 1day6hrs 5 or 6 being display.

That is just a misreport. It groups everything the phone does (basically being on except deep sleep) into Android System. The important stat is Display time.

head to This thread....it may help u...
so i did a calibration.
Let it uncharge until it turned off - then boot recovery and wiped battery stats. Then reload and charged it full , but my battery is still going down by 30% by night (wifi off and nothing done)
But i figured out, that my mobile-standby used about 28% when the screen just used 44%. This is since i flashed the new ruu and updated the radio. Maby the radio is ****?!
No one have the same problem? I cant charge my battery the day before, because its now at 55% after a night. That cant be normal. So how could i bricket my battery?

All bugs which you find in cm 10 would be there in miui also along with a few more bugs.
Now, the battery issue has been resolved i think.
use cm9 for now as it is almost complete....miui is a battery strainer, cause it needs resources to function properly, i was using cm10 but i needed the camera si i am using cm9 rc3

I lose 10% an hour (sometimes more) doing absolutely nothing with my phone. I check battery stats and like 98% is screen.
Question: how can that be possible if the screen isn't even on ?
I have tried everything. I'm running CM10 stable (which is supposed to be good for battery life)
10% an hour? This is a joke right? I have like no apps running. I even tried using apps that put the phone into DEEPSLEEP as soon as the phone/screen shuts off -- meaning every app is closed.
Nothing.
Any ideas? please help i love this phone but im going through 2 batteries a day and im not even using the phone that much.

Hey Guys! Anyone Using the amazing Roms on SGGI9082 please install Battery Doctor and Upload Your Battery Backup Status! Let's see which Rom gives the best battery backup!
Sent from my GT-I9082 using Tapatalk
Battery Doctor is a.... task killer?
Anyway, ROM selection is a small part of any battery backup. Add in some factors such as background apps, 3G coverage, GPS usage, WiFi usage, on screen time, frequency of heavy app usage etc. and at the end of the day you can't effectifely compare any ROMs from different people in different areas side-by-side.
But all roms will be having the same problem na ...we can always compare the roms relatively

Sent from my GT-I9082 using Tapatalk
I find all the KK ROMs I tried giving me crap battery life i.e. CM11/KitKatX/Omni
Haven't tried Carbon yet
(Had tried an earlier build which had below average battery and slower charging than CM)

No offense but I find apps like Battery Doctor is useless.
ROM used CM11 and Carbon with Bloatwares removed.
I am getting roughly 28-33 hours of battery backup on everyday use on full charge.
Everyday use includes - heavy use of whatsapp+, chrome, flipboard and calls.
Launcher used - Next Launcher
Task-killer - Fast Reboot Pro with Greenify, stock recent app killer and permissions restricted on most apps manually so that no app runs unless I want it to.
RAM free on reboot - 575-585 Mb
RAM free during constant use - 485-543 Mb
EDIT : Forgot to mention, KERNEL : Stock CM11/Carbon with interactive/cfq on 312/1300 MHz
Wow nice!

Yes ..The battery is draining fast...!
I also noticed the battery drain after the KitKat update of my device... Previously my device used to last for 1 1/2 day after full charge with a moderate usage. But now with the same usage, Its draining fast and lasting up to evening only...! Is there any way to revert back to Jelly Bean...? My primary concern for buying this phone is 6" display and battery stamina... The kitkat update is eating up my battery...! :crying:
