Hi,
I heard that some developers were trying to get the FM transmitter to work on the EVO, does anyone know how far they got?
Thanks
I believe there are many ROMs with the FM radio.

He's referring to the ability to broadcast you music from the evo to your car radio, because the evo come with an fm receiver stock.
And no unfortunately I don't believe that anyone has it working yet.

I think he meant something to transmit fm, so you could transmit to a low frequency fm station, to listen to music thru a stereo in a car for example. As far as I understand though, the Evo isn't capable of that, as it has no transmitter, only a receiver.

You could always...
...move somewhere else?
Try turning off and back on your device, that worked for me with this issue.
Do you go directly to navigation or through the car app? Not sure if this makes a difference?
I'm sure it will be fixed with a software update and some Modders have already developed a fix I think but I'm waiting for an official fix

Any y'all here know how to use FM radio in cm9?
Sent from my Wildfire S A510e using xda premium
since there isn't an fm app in cm, people are suggesting spirit fm for all devices who have cm
Actually i was using fm on cm7 it was working for me.there was a thread about working fm app for cm7 use it.. the only strange thing is that when you turn radio on, it is turning bluetooth as well, i dont know why and i dont know about cm9 because i have not listened to radio yet
I use Spirit Light.
Spirit seems good.
Though i've heard that the MIUI FM app ported is also pretty slick
Is there any application to listen to raido with out plugging the Head set ?
i mean some thing like a real raido
thank you
Odp: Radio
It works as an antenna so it has to be plugged in.
You can only play internet radio instead (TuneIn for example).

I also have the same demand! from my f240l.
Someone?
I want Fm Radio apk. Kindly help!!

FYI guys the apk from the p880 doesn't work (launch but found no FM)
But as you can see the phone has a specific icon
Only the Korean version has the FM Radio.
The US version is missing the hardware (Antenna) to receive signals.
No radio here... maybe the 240S has it?

What's the name of the app?

Are you even sure the hardware is in the phone?? Having the app will do no good if the fm tuner isn't there. (Personally, I think if the phone had it then you'd have the tuner.)

Ya as long as his has the antenna

Im using f240k and dont have any radio app installed.
So i don't understand how has the radio installed maybe only the international version e985
The Korean version has it.
And with most new headphones and earbuds having a rubber coating on the wires you're reception will suck anyways.
My HTC Vivid had one, In a year and a half I used it twice. I mow my lawn (1/2 acre) and I still used WIFI and Pandora.
We need the Tuner as stated above, The listening device is your antenna.
So i have tested with spirit fm app the one who worked on cm roms. On this phone it says dat it doesn't find fm radio
so no explanation after all?
