I noticed the previously posted de-odexed dump was not complete. Its missing several items. Below are links to my attempt at de-odexing the system apps and framework. It is a complete dump.
Deodexed framework (MD5 543acaded314224318cd90775654b57c)
Deodexed apps (MD5 58de9c029f1f62ba06dcc634020eeca9)
I have actually pushed this to my device and verified its working. I did this by "stop"ing the Android runtime, using the internal "SD" with adb push and some for loops then an adb reboot. I will not provide more detailed instructions.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU TRY UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!
I hope other ROM developers can use this as a base once we have a safe way to restore soft bricks.

Attached is a framework-res.apk with WiFi / Bluetooth tethering enabled. I've also applied your same full battery tweaks and carrier label to SystemUI.apk (based off my deodex work) and attached it.
DO NOT TRY THESE UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING! YOU ACCEPT ALL RESPONSIBILITY!
Edit: framework-res.apk available here (sorry, too big to attach).
Ignored my own advice and installed your deodexed system. Everythings cool. I figured out how to remove the Loud Volume warning, posted here.
I'll be building off your deodexation so we have common base. Thanks.
Would someone else be able to help clarify on how to properly push these files? I kind of get what OP is saying but not quite there and I won't do anything till I'm sure how to properly push these over. I understand and accept full responsibility for what happens to my phone but I would very much enjoy help working with these files, I just need to make sure I got my procedure down.
Also we have a way to fix soft bricks now so worst comes to worst I just re-flash the stock ROM.
Just trying to help test and learn ^^

Your audio files in res/raw must not be compressed. Replace them with no compression after recompiling.
DDMS is helpful.

The steps in his thread are more or less how I did it. The key here is "stop" to freeze the runtime. Otherwise it will notice the APKs and JARs changing and try to reprocess them - and ultimately crash the phone.

I had to rename a few layouts (keyguard_lockscreen_something). Once it recompiled, I swapped AndroidManifest.xml and the META-INF folder into the recompiled one with the files from the original APK.
So, does this contain the TW framework and all apps? I. E. could you move this to a /system of a CM or AOSP ROM and get the AllShare, S Voice, etc. apps?
romracer, what version tools are you using to decompile and recompile?
I cant get sec email to de-odex on the latest dump. Did you have any issues with that?

Looking for a No clock mod that works with eb13/ec05, the only ones I've found are only compatible with dk28. Thanks for the help!
EDIT: Here it is, thanks to pdfmedic from http://lostandtired.com/

I'll second that request

i agree also
R u talking about in the notification bar? If so I have the services.jar with this mod but I'm on my phone right now. Ill post it up when I get home unless some1 else has it already or if some1 else from the viper team has my file they can post.
here is the jar that removes the time from the notification bar the file is already in a flashable zip just make sure 2 backup before flashing
Awsome!
Two quick ?s;
If I decide I want it back, what do I need to do?
And do you happen to have one that would get rid of the signal meter?
And by backup, you mean the backup that is available in clockword mod(sorry noob that's wthe "nandroid" people refer to?)?
Ok. Four questions.
to get it back all u would have 2 do is flash the stock services.jar
ill see if i can get the signal bar off also but cant guarantee it
and yes that is the back up im referring to... anytime u flahs something u should always make a back up
SRF/Bonsai users - flashing the above is NOT RECOMMENDED! The poster did not state it's compatible with either one, meaning you'll get the throttle service back... and you will not be able to boot your phone, because it's got leftover pieces of Carrier IQ left in it!
DO NOT WANT!
hence the backing up just in case... and if thats the case then please post your services.jar file and i will edit it 2 remove the clock

This is the one was create by the dev for midNight ROM which is Bonsai based.
It is EC05.
So I started working on my own theme a while ago. Most of it is pretty simple stuff. Mostly work I've done using Ninja Morph. But I wanted to create a flashable zip in case I needed to wipe my phone for some reason and reapply the theme. So I looked up directions on how to create a theme(http://www.incredibleforum.com/forum/htc-incredible-themes/6020-[tutorial]-how-make-themes.html)
I followed this as best I could and put everything in a zip file and transfered it to my phone. When I tried to flash it, it gave me an error(error 6 I think). Can anyone tell me what I am missing to get this to work?
I'll attach the zip I made so anyone can take a look at it. I call it DragonBread. I am running OMFGB 1.2.0. I'll try to attach some screen shots of what it looks like on my phone too.
Edit: Ok so for whatever reason, I cant upload my zip file. I have tried both zip and rar. Any ideas?

Had to upload on media fire. Someone check this out and let me know what is going on. Thanks.

first of all bro if you didnt mod any of the jars get rid of them. they are rom specific. you want framework-res.apk and com.htc.resources and any apps you modded. if you have not modded any of the apps take them out.
if you did mod a jar leave it in but it sounds like your not there yet with your experience. also if your just swapping images use 7zip on your laptop or computer. ninjamorph is fun but i only use that on my phone when im not near my laptop.
im assumig you have a dinc. is this an aosp rom your on because i dont see sense in your theme.
also your probably not getting help because to just vaguely say error 6 is not any information. post exactly what errors you are recieving and what recovery you are using. also what rom are you on? and did you use the same framework for your theme.
I didn't see anything in that link you provided in the OP about signing the zip too.

Here try this and see if it works. Upgrade your CWM to the newest version and then flash this. I removed all the apk's that you did not touch and the jar's that you have not touched and it made it alot smaller. I also updated your script to the 3.0 CWM version. Please note. IF Your ROM has a newer verion that works on the new CWM Then Upgrade it. After you flash the new CWM all backups that you have will not work as it is saved for the older version of CWM.

I have seen a few threads looking for this.
Edit: This is for Deodexed TW roms. If you are running a custom rom that doesn't already have this but has made changes to the android.policy.jar file you may have issues. I just reflashed this on my phone to verify since 2 users have reported issues and it flashed fine just before taking the attached screenshot.
Here is the walk through I followed to help me get it built
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1573032
I posted the android.policy.jar file from MC2 that I changed with the help of that walk through and viperboys MA7 flash file in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2288362
I have also attached a flashable zip to this thread
As always flash at your own risk and make sure to backup before changing anything
Flashed this after doing a backup, phone won't even boot now.
This is for Stock Deodexed roms. I have flashed this on my phone, 2 other local friends and a user on this forum has also flashed it. If you had any other mods that changed the android.policy.jar file which this changes that could have caused your issue.

It didn't work for me. It didn't do any damage, but there's no boot menu. I even tried moving the android.policy.jar directly to the framework folder with no success. You tried, that's what counts... It didn't work. When you hold the power button it just goes to the Samsung boot screen and freezes. Worth a try though. For now, I just created a shortcut/widget with Desktop Visualizer and Rom Toolbox. You can create a shortcut that will show a boot menu. If you want a quick tutorial just let me know.
I love my new Nexus but that horrible navigation bar kept bugging me. I don't hate the bar but the size was just aweful. Since this is my first Android device, I wanted to keep it stock. I did try a couple of ROMs but went back to stock. I kept trying to figure out how to reduce the size of the navigation bar. I tried a couple of programs. They were buggy. So, finally, shinta86 pointed me to http://chromloop.com/2013/07/how-to...on-bar-in-cyanogenmodcm10-1-on-nexus-4-guide/ that had instructions on how to decompile, change, and recompile framework-res.apk file. I gave it a go and bam, my navigation bar is smaller now. I chose to go with 24dpi. In case you would like it, I have included a link to framework-res.apk.zip file. Your device has to be rooted. You will have to replace framework-res.apk file in /system/framework with the one that you download from my link.
As with other things posted on this forum, please proceed with warning. I am not responsible for any damages to your device.

Hey thanks a lot for this. although I couldn't use the file you posted, ROM not stock, the tutorial was surely very helpful!
So everyone, if you are using Minimus ROM, use this framework to get 32 DPI navbar.

In fact, i got a bootloop when i tried to push the file with the file explorers. I already checked the SuperSu status, made sure the file has the same permisions the original apk has, but nothing works.

The file I posted is for odexed ROM. I will try and post some instructions soon.
Using Root Explorer go to your edited framework-res.apk on your SD long press it and select copy then navigate back to system/framework and "paste" your edited framework-res. It will ask you if you would like to "overwrite" the current framework-res, select yes. After that flo will reboot.
If you don't have Root Explorer, it is a must for Root Users and you can find it in the Play Store.
Also, remember to backup your original framework-res.apk.
Or... Go LMT, which solves the whole problem and screen space!

Hi, I've deodexed the /system partition to the most recent update (at the time of writing), 15.4.A.1.9, of the Sony Xperia M SINGLE SIM.
The files have been taken from the C1904 ftf, but will work perfectly fine on the C1905 too. The deodexed files come in a neat .zip for if you have an unlocked bootloader, if you don't have an unlocked bootloader please refer to this guide on how to push the files to your device.
I have also modified the services.jar file to enable SUPERUSERMOD, just push the new file to your device and enjoy. You also need to be deodexed to use SUPERUSERMOD.
I will keep this thread updated if any new firmwares get released. Just check back after about a day and I should have them up for you.
15.4.A.0.23 Files:
Deodexed files
services.jar
15.4.A.1.9 Files:
Deodexed files
services.jar
15.4.A.1.10 Files:
Deodexed files
services.jar
I never actually stated how I made these files, for the deodexed files I used the Kamome tool (thanks for your tool @AndroPlus) and for the SUPERUSERMOD I followed the guide by @DavidMKD.
Thanks buddy!!!

yeah sure, i have a hardlocked bootloader so i just pushed the services.jar file through adb but after i reboot i LOSE the ability to edit system files or mount/edit permissions using any root explorer.
ive fully deodexed following the guide using adb also.
im thinkin i should just deodex and leave out the superusermod as i actually have access to system files then

Do you still have the superSU (or superuser) app installed? If so, can you connect to the computer and run the adb shell command followed by the SU command?

erm it seems to be working now... i have no idea why i had the problem, but ive just reflashed the latest firmware rooted, su-ed, busyboxed, fixed root, deodexed and then done the mod and it all seems to be working fine now
my phone has been an absolute nightmare though to be honest, problem after problem - locked bootloaders are a nightmare
Works as a charm
Gamer649, I flashed the zip and my phone is deoxed now
Thank you for your kindness bro :highfive::highfive:

The deodexed files come in a neat .zip for if you have an unlocked bootloader, if you don't have an unlocked bootloader please refer to this guide on how to push the files to your device.
I have also modified the services.jar file to enable SUPERUSERMOD, just push the new file to your device and enjoy. You also need to be deodexed to use SUPERUSERMOD.

If you had referred to the OP you would have found that the deodexed .zip can be flashed in CWM whereas the SUPERUSERMOD has to be pushed manually.

Inside of the .zip there is a services.jar file. This file is the untouched version without SUPERUSERMOD enabled. The SUPERUSERMOD I have created is not in a .zip format and you will have to push it/copy it to your device manually.
Are you sure this zip for 15.4.A.1.9? im applying this patch and Sony PCC saying 15.4.A.0.23. Why? Anyone had this problem?
Hey, possible of you could make a whole system flashable from ftf? I don't have a computer to flash ftf much appreciated if you did

Yes, definitely for the 15.4.A.1.9 firmware. I downloaded the aforementioned firmware for the sole purpose of making these mods. I can only assume it is something in your build.prop why it is displaying like that. Try copying the original build.prop to your phone, setting the correct permissions and then rebooting.

If I can find one for an older firmware then I will. I don't wish to create one myself as I don't want to mess any of the coding up and have people bricking their phones.

Okay thanks, I need the recent update that's all. If someone could extract just /system and uploaded as a zip I could make a meta inf folder and install it myself
Hi ...
Sorry for my english, but I'm Polish and I write using a translator.
I have a small problem: After replacing the services.jar file, grabbed my phone bootloop ... I tried different files - all the same ... What am I doing wrong?
Xperia M, 4.3 JB

Unfortunately this is common, have you tried pulling the battery and then restarting once it is put back in? Also, have you deodexed (or at least deleted the odex file to services.jar)? This is required, I suggest deodexing first and then replace the services.jar file.
Polish translation (used Google translate so forgive if it is inaccurate):
A do reszty potrzebuje superuser mod...
I tried all the time ... Full root + deodex ... I wanted to add the look of Z2, but the version that works (and does not need superuser), is incompatible with Gravitybox ... And the rest needs superuser mod ...
