So xda has incorporated the ability to unthank a person. Many people were complaining about giving free thanks due to lags etc in tapatalk app, so good day for them! (This feature is not in mobile app yet)

Indeed it is.
If you give accidental thanks to posts on tapatalk or due to xda template change, you may want to remove it. Thats why it is introduced.

So, I'm certain that many of us here on xda use deviantART, be it for showing off our own stuff or for getting icons/wallpaper. So, I was thinking, what if there was an Android app for deviantART? Anyone else for it? I have a concept art started and will post it within a week (give or take a day or two). After that, since I'm not a programmer, I'd need a bit of help from a kind soul here at xda. Pics soon
UPDATE 1/3/11 6:16 EST: Main page concept pic added

Alright... I'm making faster progress than I'd thought on the concepts. Anyone interested in developing?
(this post is a shameless self-bump brought to you courtesy of me)
I would just like to share that someone on DeviantArt made a concept as well, but just like yours, it's only a concept.

Yeah, I've seen that... difference is, I'm actually trying to make something happen with this.

Oh sorry, I didn't mean anything mean by it, I really do hope that yours gets made! I would love a deviantart app because the mobile website is not that great :/

+1 for suckage of the mobile site, it's really awful
Is there a forum for promoting my metronome app and asking for testing/reviews?
The app is a pretty good looking (ipoddish) Android metronome

Possibly one of these - Software Development or the Apps one depending on how "User Ready" it is. BUT this only applies if this is a FREE app or at the very least has a free version for us here at xda-devs. We do not allow promotion of paid apps on the forums.
We do have a paidware forum, but that is restricted to those with a bit of history of developing here at xda-developers, so not available for new members.

Thanks for your reply. Of course this is a free app, but it seems I still don't have permissions to write to those forums
Thanks anyway

Once you make 10 posts elsewhere (in non-development threads_, you will be able to make your own thread
It's quite easy to get 10 posts...have a look in the off-topic forum and reply to some threads in there...or help someone who has a problem in the Q&A forum
I was just browsing around Google+ and realized, OMG, my absolute favorite forum does not have the "+1" button!
Most of us here love Google for not only its awesome search engine, but its wonderfully successful operating system, Android! Is that not why most of us are here?? Well I say we take that one step and add the "+1" button. Seems like a good idea for all!
Since Google+ is the new up and coming thing here, and we already have a designated Facebook and Twitter button, Why not join the new social network with adding a simple "+1" button to threads or posts?
I believe it might be planned at some point.

I was just going to start the same thread with the same question. What happened to torxx thread? If it was deleted - why?
be patient, I will have to talk with a forum moderator about it

Hope to see the thread back again! Your rom is the best I've installed for the last 2 years. Speed, stability, usability - everything is top level.
And this is the first time that I was in need to write here in XDA.
it's nothing big, will be fixed

Yup . . .am waiting . . . .. .
Just to squash the accusations before they start hurtling around.
The TrickDroid thread has not been deleted, it is pending a review by other moderators, which I asked for, to remove any perceived bias you may think I have, which I don't.
It is removed from view to protect the integrity of the information within it, i.e. no user edits.
If nothing is found, it will be restored and an apology would be issued for any inconvenience caused.
This matter is not open to discussion and so this thread will be closed. Please do not open others like it.

I don't know if any of you remember the XDA Toolbar extension I made, but it's very old, very limited and only works on one previous XDA theme. You can see it here if you never saw it before...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1339825
I'm now working on a new extension that I'm naming XDA Plus, that will do the things that the toolbar used to do, but will also have a ton of other options. I'm nearly at the point where I'll be able to start testing the extension, but for now I'm looking for people with creative input of things that they'd like to see the extension do. Now this extension will not be performing magic tricks - I can only manipulate what's already there, not add major new features. So with that in mind I'm really only looking for people that have at least a basic understanding of what a forum like this can actually do.
I've started a social group so we can chat and you can post suggestions (and issues, once you have a beta version to play with). It's invite only so just post in here if you're interested in joining. Please don't just post "I wanna join teh club". If you do then you're not the right type of person. Give me some idea of why you'd be a good tester, or give me some good suggestions for features.
I would love to help test it out. I may ask a lot of questions about how things are done...because I iz learning....
