***PIMP your G2***

Having problems with your ROM/DEVICE
Well,worry no more cos this will blow your mind. I saw this and i just could not believe it..... One file that can solve every problem known to XDA folks....talk about more speed, better graphics, great battery life, almost LAG free ROM experience...GUYs it does everything....OK enough of the bulls***....Well as selfless as I m:good: I could not help but post this straight up in our devices forum for easy access and to bring it right to the door step of those who hate searching:good:.....LADIES(are there any around here) and GENTLEMEN I present to you

PS:sorry for the "overdoing" am just soo exited....BTW I tried this on GEN Y sense 4.0A, ANDROMADUS TEST BUILDS, SENSE REVOLUTION,AUDACITY 5, and Ice cream sensewich....and guess what?....IT WAS AMAZING it literally transformed my G2 into a beast whilst keeping battery consumption at a reasonable rate..... WHEN you try it on any rom not listed above pls tell me so i can add it up:good::fingers-crossed:

Where does it belong then? Q and As , general or what? So far as am aware pimp my Rom should be in android development section....if not I think a MOD would have said so by now........IF YOU FIND THIS USELESS U CAN IGNORE IT...

sort of, but hes spamming something with good intentions.
yes it belongs in the general section as this is only a link to mod, and at most a discussion page about that mod.
i am curious to see what kind of true test can be done to prove this has a positive effect. as far as i can tell most any benefit would probably just be the placebo effect but i guess thats just speculation as i havent tried it yet. (its hard for me to use some thing that will "pimp" anything)
it mostly seems to add what a good rom already would have, and done on a universal basis at that. so i may be skeptical but i feel its for reason maybe when i have some time this weekend ill go get my self pimped (that was hard to say)

Well, this mod might be cool, but the guy from mimicry (blk_jack), told us ( few pages back), that its kind of useless since he did most of the ''pimp my rom'' mods in his rom.
You'll have better results on a stock rom.
Well, I didnt try it yet, I'm just saying what others said.

Oh sorry bro...... Should have made it clear you had a problem with the word pimp *chocking* or maybe the colour of the guy who made this...... Once again am very sorry....I think the mod will close this when he wakes up.....very nice to see the 60's coming back:thumbup:

Woooow... what? Dude get your s**t together man. This guy clearly had no intentions to make fun of someone his skin colour. And I do NOT get where you got this idea.
Also don't get all grumpy when people say this belongs in the general section when it clearly belongs in the general section.
This mod does all the things we already know, so it is not contributing to any development of our device.

pimp does not mean black if thats where you are going with that. you may get certain connotations from the word pimp and i have others.
try to contain yourself and for all you know im a minority (actually i am) but thats besides the point. if you want me to go into to detail what i find laughable and somewhat disgraceful about the word pimp i can, but i wont be wasting time on this forum doing that.

This mod yes must be in general them better not delete it just clear it. I don't know if all settings of the mod are working but sure the 3g tweaks are working. My carrier name from Cosmote changed to 3G Cosmote. I don't know if is just a rename.

It really works great for me with the Mimicry ROM.
Just the GPS Fr conf doesn't seems really usefull. I put my old one witch was better...

Maybe is a rename but sure I love the walkman app the new album and the awesome beats that are working in gen r2

I used it on cm9 and it worked really well. Wasn't a placebo affect others say. I'm sure most roms have most tweaks already. But maybe not all. Helped my phone run smoother and its been a week or so

Android 4.2 google music player

hey guys, i have the google music player from the new nexus dump that has been floating around the interwebs. it works fine on my s3 and it should on yours too. i have had no problems at all and no FC's. i have not yet tried this on anything apart from stock and omega, so it it works on yours, reply letting the rest of the community know
first, rename the downloaded "music2.apk" to "MusicPlayer.apk" and dont change the downloaded "MusicFX"
then go into system/app and delete your old music player, should be named "MusicPlayer.apk" and also delete "MusicFX.apk"
then simply paste both of the new files in.
set permissions for both of them to rw, r, r
and finally, reboot.
the new music player should be in your app draw
its much better than the stock Samsung one in my opinion
oh, and dont forget to backup

Perhaps you can work together and combine the files with the clear instructions in the existing thread...
It may be a re-post but he has something you don't have (yet)
We often tend to forget new people register here every day and are not as familiar with such modifications as we are.

that is something that i have noticed a lot lately, people putting things up without comprehensive "noob" friendly instructions. i remember when i was new to this site, i had a lot of trouble trying to do things because it was assumed that i already had the knowledge.

Problem with that is how far do you go back .
Its ok saying push app to when they don't know how to push nor what tool is needed nor the fact that they need to be rooted .

Thanks for this MOD guys .... best result if you already have Google Play Music abc your rooted Delete current Google Play Music via Titanium and flash this MOD with custom (CWM) recovery then all should be sweet...good luck flashers LOL

Hello! Later when I bought my phone I had a very good ROM but I did change it even if I want it again.
The mod was with HTC Sense 3.5, Android version 2.3.5 and on boot it had moving rhombs(purple)

Well, seems like u aren't getting any...
The rom u used before may have been updated and the animations u speak of may have been replaced.. try something new, than ranting about an answer... there so many sense/ non-sense roms... waiting for... go ahead and try them...

Amazing work
My headphones jack isn't working in this ROM.
Any idea what to do or how I can fix that.?
Besides that I would get a black screen during calls but that fixed itself with some reboots.
Any hiccups within the rom there is an app to replace it in the market.

* i already flashed the SuperSU
* i already updated the SU
* i already re flashed the rom X3
* 3 times clean flash.

You got it in english? Or do you just read chinese?

Installed twice. 1st time had English, got the wrong phone number format error. Tried area code, etc. Doesn't seem to affect rom any, just curious.

Well generally the chinese firmware doesn't support our SMS it doesnt work on my model either; I don't know much about ColorOS.
You must enter SuperSU and have ti ignore CMs native root settings in options for root I did find

That's just a reality; an ADB dump would work too though but the upload would be huge

Well look at the op. Not too much information about the ROM. What do you expect from this guy really. Thanks for the port but really a little more effort goes a long way. I tried the rom and I can't get gapps to install properly and I really dislike the keyboard that it comes with. The ROM is nice with a lot of customization. I just wish half of the text wasn't in Chinese.

Multi windows

Hi guys, I was just curious which ROMs have multi windows. Thanks!!

There is an Xposed module that can do it on rooted stock 4.4.4. I tried it out once but most of the apps I wanted to use crashed in it. It seemed to work OK with Chrome on top and Facebook on the bottom, which is what I used it for the most, but uninstalled it after a few days because it just didn't work as well as I wanted.

Any ROMs? Anyone?! This forum is pretty lame, huh?
