PM me, I`ll be able to help
I have searched for days without luck.
I noobishly formatted my Kindle fire 2nd Gen while trying to install a new Rom. Now I have access to TWRP but there is no data on the device when I plug into my pc the drivers fail to install. I tried to uninstall and install kindle adb drivers but I am still getting the caution triangle in device manager. Help.
Try using the drivers in my signature.

Your suggestions didn't work.

Are you on windows 8? And when you goto the devices properties with the triangle, does it say it doesn't have the drivers installed or a different error message?

I'm on Windows 7 the message says no drivers installed. I installed Android sdk and tried sideload but the message said can't read sideload

I think everything was wiped I still get the original Kindle bootloader image on start up and a second image that gives me the recovery mode option. I get into TWRP but no files are there to do anything. Then when I plug the device into my pc it's not recognized. I see Kindle in my devices but when I try to open as a usb device the drive is greyed out.

What happens when you try to use the drivers in my signature, does the driver fail when you try to install it or what?

There is no install.exe in your files I don't know how to install it.

i had this problem some time ago....
go to your device manager and select the kindle fire and deinstall the drivers from there than the right drivers should be automaticly install
I did that many times but windows failed to install the drivers

In the device manager, right click the device with the triangle, hit update drivers, choose the option that let's you search a directory, and point it to where you extracted my drivers, then let it install.

I tried that. The message I got was "windows could not find driver software for your device"

OK in that case open the device manager, right click the device with a triangle, hit properties, and goto the details tab, then choose hardware id's from the drop down list, and post them here.

I did, I went into advance and turned it on.

Ah OK never mind then, thought maybe that was the error for not turning it on.

Hello,
I have a kindle fire 2 and recently rooted it using this guide, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2075959, and then I used this guide, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2100963&highlight=recovery, to add twrp so I can flash CM. Everything seemed to go well except that I am unable to enter recovery mode. When booting normally it works fine and loads into the kindle OS but obviously, I want to replace that. I have tried searching the forums and trying a few different things but so far nothing has worked. I'm open to any suggestions or ideas.

Well... ****.
So I downloaded cm11 for kindle 1st gen from the cm site and now it's stuck on boot logo. Anyone know a fix? Its been 3 hours now. I have the restore on my computer but I can't access it from the kindle (was wanting to factory reset and didn't want to lose it), it won't even recognize on the computer. Using twrp recovery.

cm11 requires twrp 2.6.3.x
Factory reset does not remove custom rom.
Did you try holding power button for 15-30 secs?
Twrp emailed me. They have a option to connect to your computer when in recovery mode that I didn't know about. Running cm10.1 now. Thanks for input though!

I bought a kindle fire off of craigslist. The guy told me that it turned on but wouldn't boot. I brought it home and have spent the last two weeks working on it. I have tried kindle fire utility, kindle fire unbrick, soupkit, and firekit. None have worked. I can get the kindle in adb easily but it seems like the bootloader and system are messed up. Any attempt to add to the KF is met with no space left on device or idme permission denied. I have ran out of options and have read every page of the above mentioned programs. So my question is is there a way to wipe everything and start from scratch?

Also all I can see on boot is the orange and white kindle fire logo with animation. I am trying to just get it to boot then probably root from there.

Kindle fire utility and kindle fire unbrick do not work with the newest update 6.3.3
Likely need a fastboot cable, to force fastboot mode

I will buy one, thanks.
