[SOLVED] [Q] Can't get into Recovery Mode using hard keys, any ideas?

I have a rooted phone with stock ROM (havent flashed any customs yet) with Super User and Clockwork Mod Recovery.
I can get into Recovery Mode by using the option in ROM Manager but I want to be able to get into it from a powered off state using the Volume Up + Power button as would be required if my OS was trashed and I couldnt get into ROM Manager.
I can get into ODIN mode using Volume Down + Power button so not sure whats up here. Is there a knack to it any different than going into ODIN mode?

Press on the middle of the volume rocker until both sides are depressed.

Thanks!! I have managed it in the past but thought I had pressed Volume Up! Wonder why its volume up and down together, when volume up on its own doesnt seem to be mapped to anything. Nevermind! Thanks again!

Doesn't Vol Up + Vol Down + Power get into fastboot?
Is there no way to get directly into recovery?

I dont think so. Recovery is only a couple of presses away once you're in fast boot mode anyway.

Power button did'nt work in Recovery

Hello all,
I install CWM following this post : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1601663
But the power button didn't work when I want to select an option.
The vol up/down buttons work fine.
Any idea ?

Had somting like that to, but taping power button dit the same as the option to go back. I had to tap volume down and up almost at the same time, then after doing this a few times the tablet put somting on the screen and power button worked as normal again. if you dit the taping of the volume buttons again, after a few times power button worked as go back option again..

Install TWRP recovery.

Nice 1 ZN..

I would run the script for the bootloader unlocker and when the door and lock pop up make sure you use the vol down button to select lock then the vol up button to execute. You need to do this before fastboot times out. Once you are sure the bootloader is unlocked go to the apps and theme section and look for the Acer Recovery thread, follow the link then download the Acer Recovery Beta app. Once installed select clockwork mod revision 1.7 and flash the recovery. Your recovery should work fine after this.

Hi guys i need help. i flash a cm10 kernel but im on a sense rom. of course it wont boot so i normally hold down the power button. but this time it wont reboot! help!:crying::crying:

Hi. Try connecting the phone to the PC while it is in bootloop. Normally it will be detected by adb before it completely boots. Then you can do an adb reboot recovery.

connect phone to pc
type adb reboot bootloader

No keep holding the power button until the screen goes off and then fast press and good volume down

10 second power button than directly volume down
And you should he in bootloader
Press power button 10 sec and leave if itd off and directly press volume down

Never mind, problem solved

I just flashed a rom and now my phone is stuck on the boot animation, I tried pulling battery and booting into recovery by holding the power and volume button, but the phone just starts up in odin mode. I flashed 4.2 yesterday and I wanted to go back to 4.1.2 and this is how I got into this mess.
can anyone help get into recovery?

no wonder....i cant remember the last time ive booted into recovery that way, used to just volume down and power on my other phone....thank you for the quick response

i only flashed Cloudy TWRP from my twrp recovery but now my device is just showing black screen after lg logo...
i don't know what to do
i tried many time to reboot into recovery mode but its not rebooting into recovery mode and i also tried to reboot into download mode but same black screen what happened ?
i am rebooting to recovery using this method
How to enter LG GX F310L recovery mode
Power off your device.
Boot in recovery mode by pressing and holding Volume Down and Power Button at the same time.
Release all buttons when the LG GX F310L screen flickers and in a few seconds the Recovery screen will appear.
If the above-mentioned method doesn't work for you, you can try the following
Power off your device.
Wait a few seconds
Boot in recovery mode by pressing the Volume Down and Power Button at the same time for 2-3 seconds until the LG logo appears on the screen.
Release the buttons and press them again until the Recovery Screen appears

Try this method:
Hold Volume Up + Power + Home
