New Questions and Answers section: great idea, really poor implementation

Can anyone explain to me the new policies started in the new Q&A section?
Has anyone seen this? Apparently, you have to jump through hoops to open a new thread in the new Questions and Answers section.
From RULES - Must Read Before Posting Sticky in Q&A
ALL QUESTIONS WILL BE POSTED IN SEPERATE THREADS. IF YOU WISH TO OPEN A NEW THREAD FOR YOUR QUESTION, PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING: If you wish to open a thread, you must PM me with the name of your thread, and the page number where it is located. IF YOU OPEN A THREAD, AND DO NOT SEND A PRIVATE MESSAGE TO TWEAKMAN, YOUR THREAD WILL BE DELETED. There will be no exception to this. You must send the message to have your thread open!!!
ANY NEW THREAD, NOT OPENED BY A MODERATOR WILL BE REMOVED IMMEDITALEY: If you have a question you would like posted, you will not be turned away. This is only done to ensure that your question doesn't become lost in the pages as this section grows.
TO SEND A PRIVATE MESSAGE TO REQUEST YOUR THREAD DO THE FOLLOWING:
1:GO TO THE TOP LEFT SIDE OF THIS POST AND CLICK ON USER NAME "TWEAKMAN"
2:ONCE ON THE NEW PAGE, GO TO CONTACT INFO
3:SELECT THE OPTION TO SEND A PRIVATE MESSAGE (NO OTHER FORM OF MESSAGE WILL BE ACCEPTED)
4:INCLUDE ONLY YOUR QUESTION
5:YOUR DONE!! YOUR QUESTION WILL BE POSTED IN A NEW THREAD FOR FURTHER HELP AND DISCUSSION!

I can think of three really good reasons not to do this:
Nobody reads the stickies.
Especially newcomers to the forum. People are just going to post new threads and wonder why they keep getting deleted.
It isn't very convenient.
What happens if I have a problem when Tweakman is asleep? Or on the toilet? I really feel sorry for that guy if he is going to have to publish every question anyone asks.
It is unnecessarily difficult.
The creation of this section was to help the Development and Hacking section get rid of general question posts. But if it is easier to make a new post in Development and Hacking, then people are just going to keep on doing that. Like this guy.
And then there is this:
ALL NEW QUESTIONS WILL BE REMOVED AFTER 7 DAYS: Once a thread is opened with your question, it will be left standing for a total of 7 (seven) days. If your question has not been answered at that time, you may repost your question as many times as needed. Again, this is to ensure that your question doesn't become lost in the pages as this section grows.

I don't get this either. What's wrong with the system as it is? Why can't we just leave the questions so that people can search for answers before they post? (Okay, granted most newcomers don't search either, but some do.) If people aren't getting answers, they can just bump their thread.
Am I wrong?
I agree, great intentions, but the whole idea is poorly conceived, just like the original thread in Development and hacking...nothing got answered, and if it did, how do you navigate to it to find it? Is anyone going to dig through this crap to answer someone else's question. I think not.
Give it time.
The kinks will be worked out.
Don't be so negative.
it will be open for all to post soon...... they are working on a team to keep the thread organized once fully opened

Q&a Section Now Open For All To Post

I am really wondering why no one ansers my question- is it crime to be noobie

Hey guys
I bought my htc pro2 hoping I would find a forum that what not look at me arrogantly because of me being a noobie. I am really amazed here, in the other sections like TOUCH HD when I owned one the forum members used to answer and help me alot.
While here no one even bothers
I have 2 main question
1- Is there a way to write and read arabic and hebrew
2- How can I fix the gps using IGO, I noticed it is not very accuarte when it comes to its location by about some meters
I know after I wrote this no one will answer
I ran a quick search to find what you're looking for (use this link for quick finds: http://www.google.com/advanced_search?q=+site:http://forum.xda-developers.com&hl=en&lr=&as_qdr=all )
Here's one on hebrew support: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=532165&page=2
And one on IGO8 (there are several GPS threads to choose from) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=562245
Hope that helps...
this is the solution to your problem--- USE THE SEARCH FEATURE!!! im not trying to be rude but thats why the search feature is there and obviously it wasnt that hard to find ur answer bc the previous poster found it quickly...again, not trying to get a tude, just trying to help
It might help if you put some clue to what you want in your title. Otherwise, someone who knows the answer may not even look.
A thread titled "I am really wondering why no one ansers my question- is it crime to be noobie" just sounds like a thread where someone is whining about not being answered.
I would title it something like "HELP: How to input arabic & hebrew? / Fix the gps using IGO?" It would help people notice your actual intent. No one is going to be doing a full text search for threads they can answer.

No, wrong.
(1) The word "HELP" does not add anything. A good title would be: Support for Hebrew/Arabic Input
(2) These are two separate topics that deserve separate threads.

[Request] Change title when problems resolved.

If your questions have been answered, problems solved, can the OP please change the title to or something like that?
It would make it easier on folks like me who dont mind answering questions and who want to help but dont want to filter through threads to find out whats still out there.
A fun little ticket system.
So how will you change the title of this thread if people start doing it?
Paradox much?

How can I get my questions answered?

This is a serious question. I'm not trolling, flaming, or anything else you might think.
I really don't understand how to get a question(s) answered on this site. I don't care how much or how little information I give it is never answered. I will google my questions, search the forums, read and reread developer threads and even search youtube to try to find my answers. When all else fails, I post here. Never have any of my questions been answered.
I would really love some advice on this considering I'm a noob at most of this rooting stuff and I have some questions. I don't want someone to hold my hand or anything like that. I just want some helpful links or advice.
If anyone could tell me how I should word my posts so they would be answered I would be so appreciative.
Again I am not trying to be rude, I have the utmost respect for the mods and developers here. I just don't know what I am doing wrong to never get questions answered.
I'm sure you can understand how frustrating it is to come home after work and look back at a post hoping for an answer and nothing is there other than a locked thread. I don't want to be that person that annoyingly keeps reposting something over and over. I just want to learn what I am doing wrong, fix it, and hopefully help others out when I learn from my own mistakes.
Moved to About XDA.
Well the key is to post in the right section, if its a device question post in that devices sub forum so other users see it.
Its possible if your asking in a low activity sub forum then it will not get answered

Just my suggestions to get your posts answered:
1. Extensive searching before posting:
Maybe you are not the first one with this question or issue.
Search for other users posted the same or similar problem and look if they got propper answers.
2. If you can not find anybody else asked the same or similar question, then search for descriptions/explanations which might solve your issue.
Maybe the answer is already there (even without an explicit question).
3. If neither the question nor the answer can be found, then you have to find the proper place for posting your question.
Is there a forum for your device, then go to that forum.
Is there a dedicated Question & Answer (Q&A) sub forum, then go there.
Is there a thread for asking / even for new users, with many posts and the last post is from today, then go there and post your question there.
This step is very important, as you have to find a place where your post will be seen by some experienced users which know the answer.
4. Now let's check the contents of your post itself.
Please think about the xda rules (no offence, no personal attack, English, etc.).
Describe as much as possible, what might be useful for others to think about the possible cause of your issue and a good solution to fix it or to give your the right answer.
What device/model, what app(s), what firmware version (ROM, kernel, modem, etc.), what was before, what is now, what have you done, what has happened in between, etc.
Maybe not all those information is really needed to solve the issue or give your the answer, but are you sure that it is not relevant?
If you are not sure, then provide this info.
Be polite, stay as "objective" as possible ... most of the time, emotions are not needed to solve the issue
Maybe you say something like "I would appreciate any kind of suggestion, even if it does not help to solve the issue for me.", or "Thanks in advance.".
It's a kind of motivation for other users to be confident to answer your post, even if they are not absolutely sure that it really can solve your issue.
Good luck !

Notes for help seeker :
1. Make the situation SHORT and NEAT
2. Highlight the main problem
3. provide info by point form like me
4. always provide related keyword for SEO , so that similar help seeker will come to your thread and share their experience too.
After looking over your posts I see you seem to have alot of issues related to your camera and SD cards.
Providing a logcat is the biggest help. As for one rom you used. The MIUI rom it is best to check the MIUI site as no development is done here for it. Only simple ports.

Who's talking about me
Some issues are quite complex or involved, and very few people will be able to answer them.
Camera is often one of these things unfortunately. In some ways, the silly, often-asked questions get more answers than the "real" ones. The fact nobody else has had the issue means nobody else can likely help...
A shame, but hopefully you can get it sorted out!
Don't get me wrong, but why don't you consider this as an opportunity to learn more?
Try learning what causes the problem, what is supposed to happen, why does it happen, why doesn't it happen...
Take this as an opportunity to learn more...about android, about hardware, about kernels and roms...
Not saying that it would be easy...
Hopefully, you may be able to do something about it...
And who knows, maybe XDA would get lucky with a new dev on the block

I see you're new around here. Two things, this is a development forum and questions should probably go to the General section or the specific ROM's thread. You'll find people get pretty cranky around here when newcomers start opening threads for questions like these. Also, acquaint yourself with the 'search' button. You'll probably hear a lot about that too.
