Hi,
I am currently running my HTC One X with the latest official CM 10.1 (4.2.2) installed and want to get NFC working when the screen is off/phone is locked. There is a seperate thread on this here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1713354 where someone has done a mod but it's not compatible with CM 10.1. Anyone knows how to get this working or can possibly do a mod for the latest CM 10.1?
Thanks,
Manuel

The guys who made the mod can update it at the latest cm10.1.
Try to ask he.
Or, if someone know how to, can make an apk with the latest nfc.apk on CM10.1
I was going to ask in the original thread but can't as:
"New members (those with fewer than 10 posts) are not permitted to post to development-related forums."
I saw that the thread isn't popolated.
Try with a pm to the OP
p.s. Have you tried to use the cm 10 apk?
If no, try with a backup for be sure...

what is the different between official cyanogenmod and cyanogenmod FX043 built by FXP....and what is the advantage between them...
if u are the user, which of this will u use...
First.. Development section is not for Q&A
Second I would assume both are the same. FXP uses the same source of official CM.
simply adapted for ARC?
i use the official CM ROM from their site, i originally use the FXP one and it didnt have the vibrations, i eventually realised the official CM one was on a later version (FXP was cm7.0.1 i think and official was on cm7.0.3 or something) but it fixed the slight issues i had.
other than that, i dont see a difference.
i use doom kernel with official CM image though.
anyone knows who's making the nightly's? and where to find a change log?

there is already a thread for this but ill still answer your question
There isnt any real solid information but yes its being worked on but there is a lot of bugs for cm 10.1 and cm10 is way more stable
also you know how cyanogenmod likes to make you wait
also check out the github or bbqlogs and it tells you whats new in the nighlies and thats the best way to know when cm 10.1 is going to come back
I'm using Samsung Galaxy s3 i747 d2att....just flashed "[ROM][KERNEL][4.4.2/4.3] Quantum v3.21 & QuantumKernel 1/16". In the about phone settings is the option to update CM nightlies, same as a normal rom from the CM nightly does. This option seems to work as it does bring up available CM nightly roms for download. This Quantum rom is CM based. My question is "should I attempt to install a different CM nightly on this modded rom"? Do you think this option was just left in by mistake by the developer? My instinct tells me not to try it, but I'm not sure if this is an actual update option for the rom. I would ask this in the rom developement section but I am limited by posting rules. Thanks

I don't use Quantum anymore, but I think that's just left in there because it's essentially CM but with tweaks and optimizations. I could be wrong, but if you want Pwn's work, don't use CM's updater.

Thanks for your quick response. That's pretty much what I thought would be the answer, but I did see, in at least one instance, where he advised someone to flash to an earlier CM nightly to try to correct a problem. Thought that maybe that was kind of a standard procedure with CM based roms, & they could continue to be updated with nightlies without losing the tweaks. Thanks again for response!

Downgrade from CM11 to stock JB?
Hey guys and gals,
I'm running the latest snapshot of CM11 (4.4) on my d2tmo, and was wondering if it was possible to downgrade to the T-Mobile stock firmware without bricking the device completely? I've scoured the web in order to find an answer, and from what I can tell, this would brick the device if I previously had the stock 4.3 installed or something... Does anybody know if this is possible?
Thanks!

Go to "Developers Options" at "Settings" and make sure Animator Duration is not at 0x. Otherwise please do a clean flash, as in wipe /system and do a factory reset before flashing the ROM.

Sure, you can go back without bricking as long as you select the right image for your model. For example, for T999 the latest is firmware NC2, so if you have the T999 stick to the latest firmare and never flash an older build than the latest when it comes to ODIN, otherwise bricking can occur.
I had a question. Sorry for sounding like a noob but what is the difference between cm11 nightlies and the cm11 m12 release? Which one is better to use? Thanks in advance.

The nightlies are automatically generated builds with the day's commits and are generally less stable than the snapshot releases (e.g. M12).
In terms of having a stable daily driver rom, it'd typically be best to go with a snapshot release.
i have a query
there are no more d2tmo updates available, but when i install the d2lte cm11 then it works fine but it doesnt work with indian gsm carrier. how do i update my cell with cm11.
Hello guys, i installed this rom, and it have support of portuguese language PT ou BR!
Guys I've been umm, looking flashing and bricking for some time now lol, I wanted to know about the best 4.4.4 (or any KitKat if it s awesome) ROM available yet for our GeeHRC. So ? What is it currently running MOKEE 4.4.4 HISTORY, but I hate the piggy logo in it :c
