Final Fantasy - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Bought final fantasy, installed it and tried playing it but it keeps crashing. I'm running aokp 4/24 with stock kernel, modded gapps with 200dpi. Any ideas on how to get it running?

Try setting your minimum cpu 540mhz or higher sometimes games won't perform unless at a higher cpu
setting. That might not be the problem for final fantasy though. Just a suggestion though.

No it was FF I. I ended up installing PAC Rom and I'm liking the individual app dpi settings.

Text Plus Never loads on any ICS rom.

So my fav app of all time Textplus never loads on my CM9 rom if any ICS based rom at all. Now I have no clue if this is just the app because it works fine on stock. Any way to fix this maybe or just hope they update the app to work with ICS?
Why not email the developer and ask if it's Android 4.0 compatible to start?

Google play reverting to old version

Looking for a solution on this. I'm currently running TechNiqCality 1.2, and after about a week my Google play store is reverting itself to an old version and telling me apps are incompatible. I've tried clearing data, which does nothing, I've reinstalled the ROM which helps for a bit but then it happens again. I've checked online to make sure the store is reading the phone correctly, no issue there either. Anyone have any thoughts? I haven't changed any settings, it just happens out of the blue.

From 240 down to 232, would it take over a week for that to matter? If I set it back to default would that clear the issue?

Yes or you can download a modded market and modded Google services framework.

YouTube crashes as soon as I change volume?

So I am on cm10 alpha 4.4 and have the Hd moded YouTube and whenever I change volume it crashes. Is there way to fix this

I have the same problem with the same app. I'm almost certain its the HD version that's doing it cause its not totally compatible with a jb rom. But it doesn't bother so I never tried the market one.

Gaming Tweaks

So I have been trying to play GTA III lately. I notice some lag in my play sometimes it will completely STOP until it catches up. It's quite annoying. Now I would think that our SII could handle such a task. I have it over clocked with SetCPU. I have it in airplane mode. And clear other apps out of memory before I start playing. Are there any other gaming tweaks / mods I could utilize I'm not aware of. I've run other games like Dead Trigger, BIA 2, Skies of Glory with no issue. This just lags and sticks ALOT.. Thanks!

What ROM or kernel? Also, if you had the game, then clean flashed, it might not delete the extra game files you downloaded. This causes issues with the game when you reinstall. Try deleting the app, reinstalling clean, and redownloading the files.

I'm running the legendary Darkside Evolution version 8 with TDJ'S kernel. (Should have included this duh ) I've never flashed over this game. First time install. Thanks for the input!

I'm on Paranoid Android and not overclocking and I've played GTA3 for hours today with not one hiccup. It's awesome. With CM10 and other Roms I've used, different kernels and overclocking it worked great but it had it's occasional lag.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2
I think that if you were running TDJ's rom/kernel, it would be sufficient to run GTA 3 smoothly. However, still try different rom/kernel combos.
Last time I was playing GTA 3 was when I had AOKP ICS MS4/TDJ's AOKP kernel and i never lagged.
***Also, try switching governors/schedulers to Smartassv2/sio. or to go even extreme performance/sio and see if it still lags. And play around with different combos.
The thing is that he has the best possible ROM to play this game on. TDJs kernel actually has the GPU overclocked. There's something screwing up your installation. If I were you I'd titanium back up your apps and make a clean reinstall of your evo 8 installation. I guarantee you that would fix it.

Thanks for all the help! I'll look into doing these. I used an Aroma installer call. "pimp my rom", maybe it made modifications to TDJ'S Rom in the negative...

sorry should've given you a link

Gaming performance has increased for me and my users a lot after flashing this. It also comes with a bunch of other tweaks to. I use it in my Rom
So, is there a lot of difference in this and the pimp my rom mod? Just curious. And also should I perform a fresh flash before I install this rather than installing it on top of the pimp my rom mod?

Nope my rom uses both. When you flash the supremacy script it deletes any tweaks from pimp my rom that might interfere with its own.
So you don't have to "de-pimp" your rom.
Just on off topic question. When I play GTA, I use tilt mode, but it always swerves to the right, and when I put my phone straight up, it turns straight. I was wondering if anyone has a solution to this? I'm sure many people have experienced it and I haven't found a solution through Google search. MIUI 4.1 with h0tcakez 2.3.3.
