Based on the title above, does anybody know how to replace the CRT animations when locking the phone to a very nice fade animation like the Oppo Find 5 or the very nice fade and shrink animation on the Xperia Z? Thanks

Most custom ROMs like carbon and xenon hd have a CRT off feature which gives it a fade animation like the nexus 7, but in the case of doing a different animation, I don't know.

Is it possible to get the vanilla Android animations and fades implemented into sense? I know there are launchers that have it but I like sense. Thanks

Get the app called Anim Mod on the marke and click stock from thr animation list and there you go.
I think that will work i don't really know.
I am running a 2.3.4 Sense 1.0 Rom and I am wondering which files need to be edited to get the CRT screen off animation working. Figured out how to customize my own transition animations just not able to find which .XML files.control the screen off animation.
Also if anyone has anyone knows.how to get optical trackpad wake to work on Sense 1.0 it would be greatly appreciated.
I need to be taught how to create my own ROM lol

No, it's not really possible. The only way it would work is if someone completely ported over an HTC ROM which would be extremely hard on a Samsung phone.

Thanks for the info. But what makes it so complicated? Are the animations do-able?

Not sure about the trans animations. Qazimia512 has a nice transition animation in his ics theme though. Also if you like the Widgets there a several onvthe market that mimic them. Like android pro Widgets for the scrollable Facebook and twitter Widgets.

HTC sense is closed source. The animations are possible though. I'm guessing you want the carousel effect?

Like said above, they don't have their source open for us to builds from. Plus, the libs are a lot different. When you ask about the animations, are you talking the transition animations or the carousel animations from the launcher? Either way, you can get close to them with various apps on the market. Some launchers have the carousel effect and for the transition animations you can get 'Anim Mod' from the market and use the blur animations. I'm pretty sure its close to the same. I hope this helped with your question, let me know if I'm way off lol.

That helped a lot but carousel effect is there anyway to get it with the stock launcher because other launcher doesn't the stock calender widget .and that one is really useful to me. I would also like the 3d box animation from the moto blur.

Does any one have or can someone who knows how make a flash able zip for the community.
I posted in the rasbeen thread that it would be nice to be able to retain the crt screen off animation while turning off all the other animations in the dev options. Quite a few people would be interested in this if it's possible.

Count me in as interested! Actually, I've been interested with my past three phones!
Yeah, it is amazing how quick your phone will feel with animations off. But that crt animation is just too good to forgo.
Hello, I've tried search after search and I can't find a way to disable that animation of custom ROMs that don't have the CRT animation toggle. Is it something to do with a build prop value?
Thanks in advance.

Change window animation under development.

If you install the Xposed Framework, there may be a way using that to turn off the CRT animation. Really though, it depends on the ROM, as I know that the PACman ROM, which is based on CM, AOKP and PA, has the option to turn it off. I think it's from the CM10.1 nightlies.

Changing the window animations, even turning them off entirely, won't get rid of the CRT animation.

Yeah, window animations didn't do anything, but I'll try Xposed! Thanks!
