Point is if you have time to respond and let others know about your life you can use that time to find out about your phone and the right thing to not mess it up. No worries there is always some extra nice person that does the work for others... Good luck with new phone and enjoy....

It also depends on your software version to determine if this will work. Also since I know you may be busy let me help you and tell you that the actual CWM zip in the thread wont download because it refers to a shutdown website. Well it did not do anything for me but feel free to try...
As I've noticed more and more people are leaving the gio community for better devices.
Myself, getting a sensation today its kinda sad how i prepare, deleting the un-needed nandroids, deleting SD-ext as i don't need it anymore to get maximum sdcard for my sensation. Basically deleting all the fun with the gio.
However it's not a full goodbye for the community. The guy who was selling it to me said it was locked to another carrier so he wanted to unlock it for me. Now it can't no longer do anything SIM-related so I'm getting it for free. So my gio is needed to do that.
So, everyone leaving, please consider posting here, no more separate threads.

I'm not permanently leaving, just getting a new phone. Gio is still my primary because of SIM-problems on the sensation.

i have leaved the gio community
but i will use my gio too
but my new phone is a iphone 4s i love it
If you think about it, why do we all have a Gio? Is it because we all enjoy using low-powered devices that get left in the dust by many developers? Or is it because we just can't afford the bigger, better phones? Look at it this way: when a person leaves the Gio community, they're going to a better place (usually). So, don't be sad; rather, be happy for them, and hope one day you'll be able to join them.

I jus recently bought a t-mobile samsung GS2 the other day for t-mo's 2 day sale they just had and of course i had to root it and boot it wit cm10, and mind you it was a success ( after not doing it for a year and a half ). but when i went to add my jb gapps some of the apps didnt work and i had flashed the stable cm10. so i flashed the stock gs2 t989 rom so what i did was this:
1. open (2) 7-zip windows
2. copied the app folder from the gs2 stock rom.zip over to the app folder inside the jellybean gapps zip ( drag and drop )
3. resigned it with 7zip
4. flashed it and cm10 and i got all my new gapps.
im no pro but i do have successfull xda exp from the g2 ,g1 &moto droid 1.
If u don't develop a ROM or a kernel or crate anything please don't post here I well help you if u post in q and a

i share your sentiment sir,
i don't mean to generalize and offend anyone,
but
same goes with this:
we have a lot of headaching CM7 and ICS based porters from so-called "devs" and after they post the horrifyingly bugged port they leave it as it is.
WHY?
because they can't fix the bugs and they know it,
they just post it there for fame and thanks,

Nice rom indeed, a lot of features but it's not like we haven't seen anything like that before. Based on 422, mostly xylon and cm10.1. Two launchers: Apex and Trebuchet.
Apart from the arguing I REALLY liked the ROM but the messaging app was really messing up often repeating the same message somebody had sent me for am hour when they were sat next to me with their phone off. Tried to full wipe it and try again and another SMS app but nothing, any help?

Do you mean the same message shows on the popup or are you actually getting the same message more than once? If your getting it on the pop up every time that person sends you a text then you have to reply from the pop up or using the back button back out of the app completely and dont leave the conversation open you no, don't just press home, back out of it. I no if I reply to a SMS and leave the convo open it will show the same message in the pop up. Hasn't happen to me on this but it has on others I've flashed.

flash it I promise you will like it".
