If anyone here has any experience with porting ROMs between devices and is willing to lend a hand, can't seem to get the phone or any voice input for that matter to recognize the built in mic. I'm assuming it is because the note 10.1 doesn't have one. If you think you can any help would be greatly appreciated. Just drop me a PM

Just switched from Sprint to Verizon due to roaming issues with Sprint. Ordered 3 Galaxy Nexus phones and am having problems with all 3. 2 have issues with dropping wifi/phone service after going to sleep. One of those is now working with the phone in CDMA only mode. That doesn't work for the other one. It loses connection after sitting for a while.
The third phone has the problem where the audio drops out while on a phone call. I can hear the other person but they can't hear me. Have had this happen several times in the last couple of days. The other 2 phones don't appear to have that problem but haven't been used as much as the one that is having it.
I can't seem to locate the 4.0.4 file that was temporarily released for the CDMA version so I can try to flash it and see if it solves these issues for me. Can anyone post a link? If I continue to have these problems after putting on the 4.0.4 update, can anyone recommend a ROM I could use that is stable and has most of the features working? Does anyone know if LTE is working on the Team Kang AOKP ROM? I have used it on my old EVO and Touchpad but I know that the 4g wasn't working on the EVO last time I flashed it and it had camera issues.
I really love the phones but need them to work for me. Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
I have been on Sprint forever with an Evo or many Evos. Decided to try boost and the E4GT or Galaxy 2 as they call it. I rooted it and obviously being a flashaholic with my Evo I want to do the same. I haven't got any solid answers....can I flash all roms, kernels, modems etc? I know Im a sellout for going to boost...but times are tough these days. Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks xda...you all rock!!!!
I'm not a boost user but i have read posts that its ok to do so. Many posts.
My thinking is this; if a flash takes you away, a nandroid will bring you back.
Give the section a search, this has been asked several times before.
No rudeness intended at all, just letting you know the answer is in here.

I appreciate your response....and I agree that it should work. But I tried to run mobile odin for example and it said device not supported. Assuming because in the model name it has the added BST after D710. I just don't want to brick if I don't have to....and yes, nandroid is great if that option doesn't get eliminated by messing up something first
If you don't mind waiting a bit, ill try to gather the threads up and post links in here.
Doing the xbox thang at the moment.
About the best i can do unless a boost user chimes in.

hey you made a smart move if you dont mind not having roaming...that is why i also switch, but I have a sprint ET on Boost
more then likely why mobile odn does not work cause your build.prop does not equal......
ro.product.model=SPHD710
do a backup and change the setting it kinda like tricking the program you have a sprint verison.
Great idea....can you tell me the best way to change the build.prop? Never went that route....I guess if I install a sprint Rom it would probably do the same, right? Thanks you guys for the insight and ideas....greatly appreciated!!!
If you flash a rom yes it will be the same. If you can get root using a one click you can use rom toolbox to edit your build prop. I would just suggest using the one click for fi27. Use the no data version to keep your data like games and apps. Then by using the one cli k it shout give you cwm anyway.

Needs Root,.....if you are going to mess with the phone in the hard core files you are going to need root anyway.
Patrao gave you a very easy way to get root.....

Just picked up my Note 2 today - Sam's Club is selling this weekend for $198.99 and the $36 new phone charge is refunded. Sealed the deal for me.
Anyway, all of the great resources I found with regard to rooting are for Android 4.1.1, Build JRxxx. My phone is Android 4.1.2, build JZ054K. Could you please point me to the appropriate resources for rooting this device?
Thank you.

I use QBKing77's method. Got my phone a couple weeks ago. Came with 4.1.1. Did the OTA to 4.1.2 then rooted. Also sent donation to the creator of the Galaxy Note II toolbox. Works great. Try that, bud.

As a senior member, and a basic Internet user, I know how to use Google. The op isn't even on sprint. The one who complained that I didn't Google it for him says they have tmobile on their profile.

HTSRyan,
Thanks for the helpful reply. Just to be clear (since I was not in my original post): Your Samsung Note 2 is on the Sprint network and its build is more-or-less the same as mine, i.e., JZ054K?
p.s. It is my intent to send a donation once I am rooted...
Please help
First of all please accept my apologies if I am posting in the incorrect site location - this isn't the most user friendly site I've ever come across, but it is definately helpful to to get help from you friendly and helpful people!
I've just purchased a Galaxy Note 2 (N7105 Vodafone Australia). I've managed to unlock, root and install TWRP perfectly.
My problem is that I've tried three different custom roms in the last few days and none of them seem to work properly with the s pen. The three roms I've tried are Cyanogen, Android Revolution and Omega (in that order). All three of these roms seem great, until I take out the s pen....
The only one of these three roms that will even recognise when the pen touches the screen is Cyanogen (which is the only of the three roms that don't come with the samsung s pen apps). Both Android Revolution and Omega came with the s pen apps pre-installed, but don't seem to work with the s pen at all?? Am I doing something wrong? Are there s pen drivers or something that I need to install? Omega is currently installed and it does vibrate and make a noise when I remove the pen from the dock, but does nothing when the pen touches the screen.
Another thing to note before anyone tries installing these roms on this device is that, after installing Android Revolution or Omega, the phone has no reception and says sim isn't installed. I managed to correct this by installing the modem driver on top of the rom - this took me a day or two to figure out it was the issue and how to fix!
I know its a pretty new phone and therefore there aren't many tried and tested roms, but the three I've tried are pretty common so I was expecting more information about them online than what I've found. I'm by no means an XDA Developer, but have rooted and flashed a few phones and roms in my time. Any assistance or advice in relation to getting the s pen to function on Omega v13 with my N7105 would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
I have been on PA since day one on my s2 so I have become pretty familiar with features on this ROM, but I am having a bit of trouble in PAC. I love using tablet UI but for some reason the date is cutting off in my status bar. To anyone else this wouldn't be a big deal but I am a bit ocd when it comes to how my device looks. Anyone please let me know what I am missing or what I need to change to remedy this any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have attached some screen shots.
Hey guys, I hope I'm in the right forum here. I FINALLY got myself a NOTE 4 and I love it. But something caught my eye the other day. My fiancé has a Note as well (AT&T) and whenever she gets a call; she can put her call on hold and then go back to it when she's done. It's like she gets an extra step that we don’t on our phone. I was wondering if anyone had ever tried porting a stock TouchWiz contact dialer from an AT&T/T-Mobile Note 4 over to a Sprint Note 4? Again sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but that little detail seemed kool to me and even though I searched for it, I couldn't find a dialer apk files anywhere. Then again, I don't know if it's even possible. Any help/guidance would be much appreciated, Thanx.
