There are several LG service manuals on forums, at the end of manual there is a disassembly guide. Use it.

AND it really is just a couple of screws once you have the replacement part.

I found these online, is there a non-glass version (some aftermarket plastic replacement) available anywhere? My search yielded no results. If anybody has any experiences with a plastic back cover, please share c:

The glass back is very hard to come by for some reason, my parts guy and I were searching high and low, and if you find one it's way over priced (looking at about 75 - 100 bucks) So really, stick it out, get ghost armor or something for the back and call it a day unfortunately.

Don't replace the broken cover, it's a waste of money.
I can recomend you a Nillkin back-case (there are many of them on ebay). It's cheap, slick and the phone just looks good in it.

[Q] Replacement speakers??

Broke the digitizer, so I replaced it and when I did I also got a white housing. In that process I broke the speakers so only one works and the other one sounds like crap. Looked all over online and cant find any replacements. Anybody know where I can get some?
Check ebay, not just local but worldwide, theres a chance you may find some from a spares/repairs shop, especially from China.
Theres no guarantee but it's the only place I can think of.
Otherwise look for a seller on ebay who sells spare parts and simply ask him if he can a hold of some speakers for you from a damaged phone.
Hey thanks for the response. I looked on eBay but no dice. After searching and searching, I changed what I waS searching to "xperia play loud speaker" and found them. Problem is, one is on alibaba, which is a buy in bulk directly from the manufacturer where you have to submit a query and, well it just takes forever. And another that once I got to the cart it was all in Arabic.
In any case, I finally found them from a uk store for 8 euros a strip of 10. About to buy them so I'll report in case anyone ever needs them. They are super easy to replace, once you get the glued in factory ones ripped out.

That's great you found them. In some cases it's extremely difficult to find spares/repairs.
Best place is to look online or on ebay.
Otherwise if the worst comes to the worst you may have to send it to the manufacturer to repair.
Glad you managed to find what you wanted, quite cheap too costing you just 8 euros.
Their tiny anyway weighing a few grams and therefore shouldn't be expensive.

[Cover back} Where can I find the official one ?

Hello,
First, I'm sorry for the poor quality of my text (I don't speak english very well).
I want to know if you can help me to find the official cover back white of the Samsung Galaxy S2. Mine is almost broken (you know, the little pin that fix the cover back in the phone), and got a lot of scratches.
I found some cover back (sometimes with the battery), but it's not the same as the official one.
Thank you in advance for your help.
And thank you for this forum, the greatest smartphone forum on the web !

What about this at amazon:
Can't post links. So goto Amazon.com and search for:
Samsung Galaxy S 2 II i9100, White Middle Frame Housing, Back Cover Door Case Panel, Mobile Phone Repair Parts Replacement
There the first result.

Hello,
Thank you : that's exactly what I searched... but I'm from France and they don't ship it to my destination .
Hm. Strange.
Maybe use Google Shopping. Surely there is another dealer in france.
Or ebay?
Hello,
Finally, after some weeks of search, I think that I found the "Graal" : http://dx.com/p/replacement-battery-back-cover-case-for-samsung-galaxy-s2-i9100-white-126420
I'm juste a little bit careful because there is no review and I don't know if it suits perfectly like the original.
6 US dollars! look on ebay France or UK cheaper on there
I ordered a few times on DealExtreme and never been very disappointed, so I chose to try this.
I'll tell you if my choice was good in a few weeks...

Figured I would share this link because I just threw down $140 including shipping on a replacement screen on ebay before I saw this

Thats actually pretty reasonable price. A guy on Swedish forum got quoted 1800:- for repairing the display for his phone that dropped and broke. Getting a display from that site would be 650:- including shipping.
I ended up doing it myself, it wasn't pleasant as there were no walk-through videos at the time, but it was doable, I would recommend having $20 worth of "pro" tools from eBay before the attempt, not all the crappy ones that came in the kit.
Just bought one used. Sceeen was shattered and body was a little warped.
I thought it was due to the glass expanding after it shattered.
Anyways I got the screen replaced. But the body is still slightly curved
I think its the housing/bezel I need to change now.
If anyone knows where I can get one let me know, please.

Do you know where I can get a battery cover for E971 or E973?
I've been looking for it everywhere, but it seem to be either out of stock or it is shipped in 10pcs minimum.
Found one on www.partshe.com.
Well I've ordered back for E971, and received for E975. It fits but I am disappointed.
Not from you. Anyway, it is really weird that everybody sells bodys only for E975 and cameras for E970-973.
LG Optimus G Sprint LS970, E973, F180 LCD displays are interchangeable?
Any idea when you are getting more back covers in stock?
Found some more back covers here

Need some experts advice...

Soo here it goes....a few days ago I dropped my phone vertically ie headphone jack side straight to the ground while I was using it(Thanks to my slippery hands) and now the screen has shattered a little on the bottom around the fingerprint area but everything is fine touch works display works its just the glass above it cracked, I went to a local shop nearby (I dont think going to a lenovo service center with a shattered screen will help as it can only shatter my pocket) and they reckoned it to be around 2400rs or 37$ for a 99% copy I guess and 800rs extra or around 50$ for a original one so I did a little research online and found I can get one display with lcd for as low as 19.60$ on alixpress,I'm confused between these three ones this one's 19$ but no customer or seller reviews but with slight fast shipping in just 15-25 days(https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32856511836.html), other two are about 24$(One's 23.16$ another is 24.20$)with good rating and orders and normal 30 days shipping (https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32796869178.html)(https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32825740296.html) if you have any other suggestions or experience buying one its most welcome, now coming to the tutorial part this one seems legit the best one I found (https://youtu.be/-osJu7OMxVk)this chinese forum post had one guy do it and posted about 100+ pics while replacing it but now I can't seem to open it anymore :crying: (http://bbs.lenovomobile.cn/z2/t260432/) here too if you get any better ones please suggest also there are a tons of teardown videos too if someone can make me understand lol,I'm a noob when it comes to replacements, teardown things and my first time and I have to make sure not to **** up as I can't buy another phone for at least a year, the post I made is lengthy with every details is because some day someone else will be in the same spot and I hope this post comes to their help too...
Now I need answers to these-
1)Can I do it myself or should I get it done for almost the double price considering this will be my first time doing this.
2)The best choice among the lcd+digitalizer according to you
3)A suitable tutorial to do it myself at home
Thanks a lot

Get only the glass replaced by a professional, no need to change the display. It'll cost less than ₹1,000
IF its possible change only digitizer
But that operation cannot be done without special tools for heating etc, putting back can be tricky
As for buying new screen, see if you can find on your local advertising sites some Z2 with dead motherboard
Original is always best
If you buy from Ali, buy the most expensive one because those cheaper can destroy your experience with the phone...
Read feedback always on Ali

Also be aware of the fingerprint scanner. I think that should he also disassembled, or ask seller does it have fingerprint scanner with lcd... Read about that
If you don't have experience, I would say go with the service center. Opening this phone can be tricky.

Screen Replacement

So...I polished my HWatch a little too much and wore off part of the bezel.....In my incessant searching, I found this.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Ori...3489-4c2a-acd6-843db467ef02&priceBeautifyAB=0
I hope this helps anyone looking for a replacement bezel / screen. I purchased one myself....waiting for delivery. However, it does not come with a side button. I plan on using mine....but have no idea how to place it on the new bezel. The seller indicates one needs a professional tool, but does not specify what.
Update: They indicate that they have cases with the button. I'm looking forward to replacing my beat up one. $14 for a shiny new watch, can't be beat!
Thanks for your suggestions. May i see what damage have you done to your bezels? Just out of curiosity
Thanks for the information! The contact points on the back of my HW are completely burned. I ordered replacement case + back for $10, allowing me to repair!
