When did you unlock with freegee? If its after February you have efs backups in /sdcard/freegee automatically

Since IMEI spoofing is illegal in most country, the IMEI is most likely encrypted. I don't know how it is input on the Optimus G, but I had an issue back with my Galaxy S, and let me tell you, just hope you have a backup!!

this is terrible.. but with jtag i have to disassembly my phone?
is not for me..
other solution????

no. only JTAG or you have the internal LG IMEI repair tool

Hmm, I am coming from Samsung world and there flashing a Samsung ROM would always restore the IMEI, not the case with LG?

where can I found it????? in internet i don't found...

you cant find it. its INTERNAL

JTAG is a tool, made by RIFF, not just a software.Any respectable gsm service has one.Rewriting software with JTAG costs between 10 and 20 euros, depending on the phone. At least here in Romania it costs this much.Don't know other countries.
Bottom line, writing the IMEI it's not a DIY job.it can be done only with proper tools,on a specialised center.
I think there would be another way,but i'm not sure, you need to talk to shelnutt or autoprime to confirm or not.
If the EFS backup from other phone can be decompiled, and the IMEI section is find, change the existing imei on that backup with yours, recompile and restore it with freegeee.i repeat, this is just a theory.
Another question, what method did you use to unlock bootloader?

Even with a samsung, if you'd screwed the partitions real good, you'd lose everything, even the backup.

You can try it, but most likely not.
You would need to decrypt the file, replace with your IMEI and encrypt it. copy it and it "would" work, theorically.
OR, you could call your provider and ask them if they can do it. Might not be worth the hassle!

Yes I can resolve sending the phone in service...But my wife told me "don't to do that""
For me will a victory if I rewrite my Imei because in the future i will change new rom... and want learn how to...
how I can enter in Diag Mode?

you're not sending it for waranty, the "waranty" was void when you changed the rom. If your provider gets to know that they will void it "officialy".
You may contact the service to know if they can rewrite an EMEI, and ask them how much they charge for it.
The FIRST thing you should do before installing a custom rom is a backup of the EFS partition:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2161611
or, if you have installed freeGee, you might already have a backup in the FreeGee folder in img format
If not, then you will need to open thoses .img, edit them with your IMEI and reflash them

Not that easy.i didn't find any tool to decompile those images into workable stuff.like i said, maybe you will find more help on irc channel.asking will not hurt

2) Change the Imei with my Imei number in Backup Folder .
I have to find a tool for change the number in the image...

[Q] Reboot after ROM start and no IMEI

I've got this situation with my LGOG E975: a week ago i turned it on and after like 20 seconds after STOCK ROM was running , it rebooted. Then I also noticed the IMEI had gone. I wasn't rooted and the bootloader was locked. I tried everything from hard reset to flashing stock kdz. The only solution to the reboots is to flash teenybin and then a custom rom. Although I have no service and no IMEI. It's like having a 32 gigs ipod, almost useless. Also warranty was voided because the phone was disassembled.
Reading around the internet seems a EFS related issue but I have no idea how to fix it
Whats your advice? Hardware or software fault?
PS Also I noticed that ,with the stock rom, it doesn't scan the memory at startup, like it used to do.
Any help/idea would be appreciated!

do you know where's your phone from?? I meet a lot optimus G from Korea with this kind of problem when owners tried to flash it with an international ROM (Korean versions use different ROM but you can flash it with international ROM with some CAUTIONS, or you lost your IMEI) look for an able-to-pull-out antena on top of it, next to heaphone jack. if there is one, that's Korean version.
I know one way to recover IMEI for those phones, may be it works for your case:
1. Find out what is your phone REAL version (E97x or F180L,F180K,F180S ...) because it can be changed after you flash new ROM.
2. FInd s.o with the exact version of your phone and beg for the IMEI back up from their phones with this tool
mediafire.com/download/iy0rhx8yv7lkvlb/IMEI_Backup_Restore.zip (cant post links)
3. Restore your phone with that IMEI with the same tool, your phone will have new IMEI and .... service (I hope so)
remember to turn on "USB debugging". the phone will restart after done (may be twice)
Good luck!!
P/S: use at your own risks

actually, you dont need IMEI to be the same, just the same kind of version (eg. International ~ E975, AT&T ~E973 ...). we call that "fake IMEI" in our place
This methods works 100% with korean version, and some of my friends confirm it works on international version, even the AT&T's or Canada's (E973,E970). the most important is to clarify your phone's version, if you did wrong version, you have to "fake baseband". and then everytime you flash a ROM you have to do the 2 fake

LG-F240-EUR - Where to find it or how to fix modem?

Hi
I bought recently some refurbished LG F240. According to IMEI it was originaly a F240L. I had stupid idea to upgrade software to Android 5.0 so I downloaded original KDZ firmware for F240L. Update was succesfull and everything works fine except... GSM. I can use a WiFi but i can't make any phone call or send sms. When I check my phone IMEI using *#06# it shows "null"
I live in Europe so to fix this I tried to flash my phone again using KDZ for Germany (from this link: storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda%2FLG+Optimus+G+Pro%2FStock%2F ) and it still dosn't work . After it I rooted my phone and I installed CWM (lte2jbrecovery) and I tried to flash all modems from this link androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=17567 but none of them works. I also noticed that after flash modem (CWM says that it was succesfull) broadband version in "about phone" section dosn't change.
My only idea is to install back LG-F240-EUR ROM but i can not find this rom :/
Does anybody has any idea how can I fix this. I'll be very grateful for your help!
i think all f240 are korean
so your safest bet will be to flash f240 k/L/S KDZ, when i messed up flashing rom to my f240 and get no signal i always go back to to f240k korean kdz and it will be fixed

I did it before and after it I lost signal I think that I broke EFS partition during flashing KDZ file. I have no backup of EFS partition but i found info that it is possible to repair EFS partition using Z3X LG 2-3G Tool even without backup. I don't know how to do it but i found some company which do things like this so I hope that they repair this - they told mi that it should be possible

Lock in eBay, offer the remote imei repair
Since you're rooted, Samsung won't even reflash it. Sucks.
S6 Edge
The only way for a user to restore their IMEI is to have done a backup originally before attempting to do any changes.
You need to take the device go the carrier for repair.
Altering changing or manipulating IMEI numbers on devices is illegal in some places and not something allowed for discussion on XDA.

Sprint Galaxy S6 EFS

hello.. people there is anyone has a backup a Sprint Galaxy S6 EFS (SM-G920P)
for some reason i can see my imei number and my phone can made any call
no network registration
PLEASE HELP
I do. Is there any personal info in an efs backup? I can share if there isn't.
Doesn't sound like there is. I will pm a link if you want. Or have you been fixed?
I do not know if trying to restore a backup of someone else's EFS partition will do any good.

I accidentally erased my efs trying to format a corrupt usb drive in TWRP. Could you help me out with my efs please?
It doesn't help. I've written a new efs and new clean certs, qcn, and unlocked with 2 different people. I'm still not registering on to T-Mobile, AT&T Prepaid, Cricket or anyone. I think erased EFS needs to be fixed by Samsung.

IMEI lost, questions about backing up another MOTO Z Play "EFS".

Hi, I've been trying to find a solution for the problem of null IMEI I'm having after wiping EFS partition on the Chinese TWRP, maybe it's not that and it is because I've erased modemst1, modemst2 and flashed modem+fsg.
I'm pretty sure it had to do with one of those procedures, when I wiped the EFS I've got some error saying it couldn't be done but something went missing.
I've got a more direct question now, my brother just bought a Moto Z Play yesterday, if I backup his EFS on my phone (he already asked if I want to do that) will both of us would be able to use our phone normally?
can anyone backup their "efs" and upload it here so that i can restore it and get back my imei.

No way, like you already now, each phone has an individual IMEI. Your phone is unfortunately unusable.
What did you attempt to do? Flash another firmware package ?

I think I'll just take it there and see if they can do anything about.

Hey you can use sigma box to restore imei which will cost you around 800 rs,same thing happened for me but still not fixed just using with wifi
If partition can be wiped, then is not read only. If is not read only, should be possible to write backup back. Otherwise, what's the point of the backup?!
Each phone should/must have different IMEI, depending of the network. In theory, should be possible to take partition from one phone and write to another. However, Moto maybe prevents that checking some hash, serial number... If it's possible to write partition from another phone, again question is can those two phones be on the same network in the same time. I also saw a way to change IMEI, I think even on this sub forum.
If someone solve this problem I definitive pay to that sir, he would be rich In the first day..
