For what stands the |OP| sign?

Hello,
Maybe stupid question (it is very hot in my place for the moment so I can allways blame that )
But I've wonderd why there is an |OP| sign near the nick name of some users?

my OP near "Senior member" is gone
I can see it only when I open my original post, but not in other threads when I write
why?

Op is only next to your name if you posted the first post in that thread.
If you post in a thread that you didnt poat the first post in than you will not have op next to your name

It shows who started the thread, of course you only see it when you start the thread!

User titles

First, i was a junior member, then ti member,now, a senior member. So is senior member the last rank in relation to post count??

Yes, to get any other rank you have to apply or be granted it e.g recognised developer/themer/contributor etc etc

Here are the user titles explained by one of our mods.
0 to 29 posts - Junior Member
30 to 99 posts - Member
100 + posts - Senior Member

Senior Moderators are the next step up the ladder, providing site-wide support for Forum Mods and looking after the nitty-gritty issues, as well as areas of XDA not policed by FSMs, such as the Marketplace.
Administrators are next. There are several Admins - each look after a specific part of XDA such as the Portal, the Members and the User Experience of XDA as a whole.
At the top is Mike Channon, who is overall Forum Administrator.
Other titles you may come across:
Moderator Committee - sits on the Mod Committee
Developer Committee - as above, but for Developer Committee
XDA Newswriter - publishes articles for the Portal (front page)
Retired xxxx - have since officially 'left' their XDA position
Hopefully that clears most of them up for you
Contrary to what a lot of people expect, the thanks-meter does not figure at all in determining a users tag.

Just to clarify I do not mean to imply that you are a noob or a new user. I know that over the next few weeks and months, new users will find this thread and hopefully will follow the link to my guide. Senior Member is the last title by post count.

So the ranks are just based on how many posts you have made? And are there any benefits to these ranks? Or are they just kinda there?

i think some is based on post while other is base on your role on this forum (and it must be assign by admin)

But as per xda Making duplicate type of threads is against the rule.
So why dont you join our team or any other team so you can develop yourself also and help other people to.

The duplicate thread was a mistake. I didnt know in which section to post. Anyway, the other one is in off topic section so that kinda doesnt count.
I am not sure I wana join any team for now. FYI I ahd tried to in the past but I dint get reply from DDRipper. Perhaps bcoz I was not talented enuf.
