flashing seperate components - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Does anyone know if I can flash a ROM, like AOKP, then flash touchwiz message app and/or touchwiz contacts app with it? Similar to flashing a ROM, then flashing gapps with it...
Knowledge, please

Don't think it's possible. TW components are highly dependent on the framework. I have heard however, you can flash or add AOSP components such as messaging, contacts, phone, ect to a Touchwiz based ROM.

I wish you could! The absolute only 2 reasons i tend to stick with touchwiz, are the calander full month widget....never found one on play store quite the same, free one anyway.....and I stick with it for call blocking! Probably apps for that, but like the touchwiz one better than some I've tried.

s Beam on roms

was wondering if there was a way to install the s beam app for the gs3 rooted running a stock rom. i'm running aopk jelly bean and wanted to have the s beam feature. any ideas what to do?
If you want the stock Samsung apps like S Beam just Odin back to stock. From there root through Odin and as long as you don't flash any apps or anything you'll have a stock rooted ROM with all the S apps.
closest thing to s-beam right now afaik is the regular android beam. s-beam probably won't work on cm/aokp roms as it may be baked into samsungs framework. but then again maybe i'm wrong.
Ok now I'm thoroughly confused by the OP. He first asks if it's possible to have the S apps on a stock rooted ROM. Then it seems he wants it on a CM10 based ROM.
I think it's possible, but either not practical or the CM team has other priorities. When I first flashed CM9 on my SGS3 I was able to keep a few of the TW framework features, but lost them after a few days. No idea the cause or what actually was going in the background since I forgot to make a logcat and it's too late now.

Looking to install stock email/calendar/Wifi calling / etc. after ROM upgrade

Hi,
I really like the stock email (allowing different polling times for peak / off-peak and the overall usability) as well as the stock calendar and the wifi calling feature.
I do afraid that if I'll install any new ROM (say 4.1.2 or 4.2.2 based ROMs) I will loose those stock apps. I understand that I will need the "Stock Samsung Framework" so something similar to that?
Is there a way to download those apps from somewhere? and also - what will I need to remove from the system folder before I install (or overwrite) with the stock apps?
Thanks,
Gil.
There is no official 4.2.2 for samsung devices yet. Specially like our s 3.
The feature you mentioned are Touch Wiz based ROm feature. If you install 4.2.2 then you will loose all those. And there is no way you can install those on any AOSP based ROM or CM or AOKP.

Thanks Bikrame,
I just wish someone could create a ZIP installer that installs only Touchwiz on top of other ROMs; I know that there was one for ICS on the SGS3 but I could not find any for JB...

S5 Apps on N7105 CM Based Rom

Hi All,
I absolutely love the s5 feel (when I wrongly flashed DN3 rom for n7100 to my n7105). Just wondering if I can flash those apps on a CM based rom. I dont need additional features like spen apps. I just want the notification bar, notification drawer, messaging, launcher, contacts and phone apps. Thanks for the response.

No. Best you can do is use the inbuilt theme function and load a S5 or touchwiz theme.

Mind pointing me to where I can find these themes? Im using CM Burst Kernel Kang, BTW, not the official CM11. +Thanks!
you'd probably be best off going back to touchwiz for features and the look! touchwiz themes for aosp don't quite cut it

By the way, what happened when you flashed N7100 rom on your N7105?

It booted, and appeared working fine. I only noticed it was the wrong rom when I tried to send a text message, then found in my settings that the device name is N7100 and I have no baseband. I didnt get to test it thoroughly though coz I flashed back right away since I really needed to send a text message.

How can I get stock S-Planner/camera on newer ROM?

Couldn't find this on another thread -- maybe because it's too simple -- but I'm unfamiliar with pulling individual apps, so any help's appreciated.
If I get a newer TouchWiz ROM, like DN4, is the original stock S-Planner still usable on it, and how would I pull it from stock and install it on the newer ROM?
Also, since some ROMs replace the stock camera with their own, how could I pull the stock camera app and use it elsewhere? Thanks again.

Samsung Apps on Custom ROMS?

Is it possible, if so how, to install Samsung apps from stock rom to a custom rom? Specifically, S Calendar from stock (4.4.2) to CM13. The gapps version of calendar does not provide the ability to copy an appointment/task (ie. a Dr appointment has occurred now you get a reschedule).
Would like to be able to carry all the apps using the S Pen (S Note, etc) to CM13, is this possible? To have Cyanogen recognize when the pen is removed and ready to be used?
I hope I conveyed my thoughts....
Thanks in advance
From what I have read, these Samsung apps require kernel and will not work on aosp, caf, or cm kernels.
