So ive been desperately trying to get USB tethering to work on my Rooted S4 after the 4.3 update. I have the Tmobile SGH-M9191 - M919UVUEMK2, I downloaded and paid $1.95 for Wifi Tether Router and it works fine for Wifi but has no USB tether - I also have unlimited everything and 2.5 GB free tethering which isn't enough. Does anyone know of an app that has usb tethering that works on this phone? I'm willing to flash a ROM, pay for an app, whatever it takes. I get 15 mbps on wifi tether app, but on stock USB tether I get 35+ mbps. Also with usb tether the phone charges while being used. Ive been searching for so freaking long and can't find a solution.
Alright hoping someone can help me out here. I had a note 3 and s5 before and used them to usb tether on my work laptop. Company shut down wifi all together so wifi tethering is out of the question. So the laptop will install the samsung drivers and it allows me to usb tether. I have also tried with a droid maxx and it would tether as well. Well I got the G3 (verizon) and it will not allow the modem driver to install on the laptop so that I can use tethering. So does anyone know a way I can fix this? Such as change the way the g3 usb tethers? Make it act like a samsung phone or motorola? Installing the drivers is out of the question because you have to have administrative rights to do that

Did anyone manage to get tethering to work with the GT-S7560m?
I tried to get ANY tethering to work (Wifi, USB, and Bluetooth) and so far the only one that worked was USB tethering with Foxfi.
USB tethering just stopped working on my device. I ave to use usb tethering on my laptop since wifi doesn't work on ubuntu on it. Tethering was working fine few weeks back i dont really know when it broke as i didn't use my laptop for a while.
Now when i try to do a usb tether i can enabl usb tether from device settings but ubuntu doesn't detect a wired connectiong. I thought its ubuntus problem so i reinstalled it, but tethering still didnt work.
I am on latest stock open beta(maybe that broke it). Also usb tethering works fine on my laptop using different device.
And wifi hotspot works fine on my OP 5t
Let me know if you guys have any clue of whats happening with my phone.

I found today that that's the same for me. Usb tethering doesn't work anymore since 8.0.

Are you sure your drivers are installed and such? I don't use ubuntu (arch) so i have no idea how the situation is there
