Just flashed Bravia engine 3 from the comments - we'll see.
Edit 1: No brick or bootloop yay! - also no options regarding the Bravia engine in settings.. hmmm
Edit 2: Done some testing here's my feedback, tested platforms software: YouTube videos, FireFox container videos, Gallery pictures (that I've taken), Gallery videos (videos I've taken, and downloaded ones)
I'll keep this short and sweet, no noticeable difference what-so-ever, you'll have to compare two N4's of the same revision (303k or whatever etc..) one running the Bravia engine and one not. to actually see the in-significant difference which is (I believe) just a placebo.
Regardless if a placebo or not; the only minute difference (probably through the placebo effect anyway....) is a tiny change in sharpness.
On a side note - Some strange stuff did start happening after I flashed the so called "Bravia engine", I got an email afew seconds after boot saying my sim has been removed and changed from my security software.
Also, further reading into the Bravia engine states that it only works with the Xperia gallery, rendering this flash completely useless.
Edit 3: My Nexus is saying my sim isn't inserted after another reboot even though its still in my device.. Somethings going on, coincidence or not?
Edit 4: Re-flashed AOKP and everything else - everything's back in working order!
Post screenshots please

A Little More about the ROMThe ROM comes with Touchwiz Launcher edited to match the COLOR of the THEME and it has some animation edits with a 5x4 app drawer. The Startup time on every boot is less than 15 seconds. (NOT INCLUDING FIRST BOOT RIGHT AFTER FLASH WHICH IS AROUND 40 SECS). We now have much better network Download and Upload speeds due to the edits we have made in the build.prop. This allows our phone to grab signal and data more aggressively. Download the Speedtest.net App to see what your speeds are after flashing this ROM. You are now given the ability to take Screenshots via the advanced power menu by Pressing and Holding the Power Button and selecting the Screenshot option. As an added bonus you can press the HOME button then the Power button to take a ScreenShot as well. You can take Screenshots and share it with us here on Facebook Or Twitter. Pretty much all the apps have been colored to match the theme, there are some apps that have not been colored yet but will be on future releases. If you see an app that you feel should be colored, feel free to let us know. XLoud and Bravia Engine are included. Xloud was made by sony and it is an app that not only clears up audio, it also makes it slightly louder. XLoud and Bravia are things you don't see, they are things that you hear. It's all code, Xloud is composed by a framework.jar file, an .xml for permission and 3 lines in the build.prop. Bravia consists of 2 files located in /system/ect/ that gets enabled by build.prop.

No it isnt because I helped develop this rom and its a release. Its not general because its not just news, its an actual release. From now on I will be working on development for this ROM.
And try reading whats in red next time!
First of all, I love this rom. But I was wondering if the lock screen clock can go back to white or a lighter color. It's pretty hard to see unless your wallpaper is white. A lot of the nicer ics wallpaper have a lot of black.

why are so many wipes needed?
Works great!!! image gallery fixed just need to let the gallery load but overall great rom. the only bug that is really bugging me is the auto rotation when I want to see youtube videos. Will update if I see any other bugs.
Anyone test a phone call yet? Wondering if this has the echo audio bug on the other end of the call. For me I can deal with auto rotate but I use my phone for business and need call quality.

You can get bravia engine (and possibly xloud, but there is no use of it other than stressing your phone's speaker.. it will NOT improve sound quality, it will only boost volume to quite unsafe levels) via "pimp my rom" app from play store. it will download zip and place it on sdcard.
And what do you exactly mean by power saving? This little switch in quick settings?

I already said the same thing...
Hello all.
I have my Xperia S for one month now and I am becoming more and more frustrated with the frequent lags and slowness of the system in general.
On the same day I bought it, I discovered that I was with a locked bootloader and from then on, despite my attempts to improve the system by rooting and trying several Roms I am about to give up hope.
I am now with KA25 ROM but already tried XZXperience 2 and Turbo ROM. From all of these I must say that sooner or later the system becomes laggy and starts to have strangely large access times to some actions or apps.
I notice this in the contacts app a lot, in the messaging app, on the in-call and after call screens, slow loading times while performing normal tasks, like in the album scrolling and accessing images, hiccups and annoying sounds within the Walkman app. Don't know where to even start or stop.
Sometimes I feel that it must be something related to ICS but I would like to have your opinion on these issues.
Also, I am having thoughts about going back to basics and just factory reset the whole phone. Would this clean all of the "debris" the rooting and appliance of several Roms could have done to the phone?
How would I do this? Just flashing with flashtool a clean stock image?
Any advice or any second thoughts, or even the sharing of similar experiences would be great and I would be grateful.
Looking to hear from you soon.

Thanks for the feedback. When you mention tweaks what do you precisely mean? Because I have tried some tools like Pimp my ROM which state to have entropy generators and other speed tweaks but up until now it is pretty much of the same...
However I must agree that waiting for Jelly Bean is the most straightforward solution however I am surprised that a good device like Xperia S has this difficulty dealing with ICS or any usual tasks.
I came from an HTC Sensation XE and with ICS ROMS these issues were not so frequent.
However and I must address this in the topic I have been restoring the apps from ROM manager when changing ROM. Would this have any influence in the short term to the system stability and general speed?
Many thanks.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:
This ROM will not magically convert your phone into a 2gb RAM Quad-core beast. This is my love of Android since 2.2 Froyo on a 128mb of RAM device. I have learned much from XDA and the many great people here. I'm still learning and always will be. While I learn, I upload my efforts of improving the already great ROM CyanPrimo V3 and adding my own mods. Viper FAQ:
Q: What is Viper4Android?
A: Viper4Android is a sound mod NOT created by me that I personally have found to give the best sound when partnered with the HTC One Audio files included in this ROM.
Q: What CPU type should I pick for the One V?
A: Cortex A8 with NEON
Q: OHMAHGAWD my music now sounds better than the joyful laughing of children on Christmas and I can't resist having headphones in all the time. What should I do?
A: Just make sure to keep it at a safe volume so your ears don't bleed, thank the original developer 9999999 times, and enjoy the ROM :highfive:
CREDITS:
Awidawad (kernel and basically the base as well as being a great person), Rev17(this is his creation. I've merely adopted it), simonsimons34 (for being generally awesome), and every other developer we have in this amazing community who have done all the hard work for me. Thank them all for the great work.

Dude this is awesome! Thanks for fixing camera! can't wait to try this out
Is there some way to activate the keyboard that has all of the long press options - not just for the numbers? I thought it was the standard in 4.2.2.

Should be fixed in the next version. Sometimes the multitouch fix breaks data connection and I'd rather have functioning data than multitouch but I should be able to find one that works well.
Thanks for the ROM! Haven't had a random reboots. Very smooth . Only problem is freezing after flashing the ROM . Other than that , great job!
Just ran into my first problem ... Video playback isn't working . Vine or other such media

Alright so that confirms it's a ROM issue. Can I get a logcat for Instagram? Vine I can do, but I have no Instagram account and would rather not make one lol

Will do if it is a major issue but I have a feeling it has something to do with removed apps in the ROM. Was the bug present in the V3 build?

That narrows it down to a removed app. In the next version I'm hoping to have multi touch working, add back the stock downloader app (currently clicking the download in the status bar just cause the browser to FC), and add in some very nice audio stuff I've grabbed. What would the thoughts be on replacing some CyanogenMod/AOSP apps with Google counterparts such as Apollo with Play Music, Browser with Chrome, etc.??
