Yes...but why u want to downgrade if your on stock ma7 official update?
Sent from my Baked galaxy tab 2

reason being its not letting me write the phone using default samsung password
nor i am able to change the SPC , the phone wont accept the authentication key of the new network

Yes you can i did it a couple of times already but I use the stock lj1 tar using odin then I just did the updates, theres two updates when going back to lj1 stock the first update is ljc then the second is ma7, so for you just only do one update and dont do the ma7 update. But it can be done.

actually the thing is i use a USC Note 2 , sprint variant is new to me , doing it for a pal
i would also prefer to root it and flash the LJC or LJ1 zip
can u also point me to the simplest method of how to root MA7 so that i can install CWM and flash any previous ROM and a zip version of LJi or LJC modem
i think that way it will be easier and after unrooting i will still be able to get updates

Go back to ICS from new OTA Jelly Bean on an unrooted phone

Hello folks,
I am a newbie to the forum but I am constantly on the site checking stuff out and finally decided to join!
Anyways,
I recently updated my phone to the new Jelly Bean OTA released from sammobile and find that the wi-fi calling feature that doesn't work is a big no-no for me. I need it constantly since I am in college and most of my classes have wi-fi in basements that have no cell phone service.
If anyone can help me out I would appreciate it.
I tried downloading the stock rom from sammobile and installing it and I got an error:
"signature failed".
I did factory wipe and partition wipe prior to trying to apply the update. I also put the file as update.zip (no I did not make the file update.zip.zip) in the root of the external sd card.
Any other tips?
DL zip from this post, extract and use Odin to flash.
It's the H2 ICS update.

I cannot find the ICS zip in that thread.
Can I restore ICS on my unrooted S3 without flashing it?

[OTA] MA7 update.zip Download

The OTA for MA7 just came out today and it's starting to hit phones left and right. For those who don't want to wait for it we managed to pull the update.zip this morning.* We're posting it here for you to enjoy!
To flash this your phone must be on 100% stock LJC and unrooted. It can only be flashed through Stock Recovery.
WARNING: Some people are reporting issues with trying to flash back to LJC after updating to MA7. If there is any possibility you'd want to go back to LJC after this please don't flash it.
Download:
MA7 update.zip
Instructions:
Download the ma7 update to your PC and rename it to "update.zip" (without quotes).
Place the update.zip in the root directory of your External SD card.
Odin back to stock unrooted LJC. Available here: http://rwilco12.com/downloads.php?d...PH-L900)/Stock ROMs/LJC/Full Restore/Unrooted
Reboot to stock recovery. The "Three Finger Salute" works best. Hold down Volume Up, Home and Power until the Samsung Note 2 splash screen displays and then release.
Choose install update from external SDcard.
The device will automatically reboot after a successful flash.
Once booted up, device will display android updating in a countdown graph.
Enjoy!
You never cease to amaze me

Yes. This is the official OTA from Sprint. If you were to go back to 100% stock unrooted LJC you would eventually get the notification that the update was ready to be installed. This skips the waiting patiently step and lets you skip right to flashing.
Once you're on LJC stock and unrooted boot to stock recovery and flash it from there.

I'm on boost mobile too....Don't do what you're planning! All you need to do is download lorjay589's 4.3 rom or the Synergy 4.3 rom (full rom..deodex version) also grab the wifi fix file and mk4 modem (optional)
Then back up apps with titanium backup and then create a nandroid backup. ...then do full system wipe except sdcard I ran wipes 3 times with twrp then flashed the rom then reboot....it will start to boot and then it'll pause on Samsung screen with blue light flashing. ...just wait...5 min or so then it'll boot...setup rom settings then reboot into download mode. Then run odin and flash wifi fix through odin (pda tab) then reboot...If it hangs or even if it boots reboot one more time then you'll be up and running 4.3 wifi and all. Done....again don't bother with the file you downloaded from sammobile!
mk4 update.
Hi. I recive your msm after i did the update. Let me tell you men, it looks amaising, beautiful. Everything
Works perfect and i root it too.. trust me. Works perfect..every time i flash a rom with custom recovery my note 2 lloose the flashand goes back to sprint..i notice that the wifi gets a little weak some times, so i dont know if i should flash the wifi path. How you flash that? With odin? How can i get it? Thanks in advance...
The download link no longer active. Any mirror?
Why does 4.3 look better on other phones like the S4 and Note 3? I see little things that we don't have on our Notes. Like updated weather widget, the homescreen circles where replaced for a home or flat lines depending on what screen you're in and just other minor stuff I can't think of at the moment. Was our Touchwiz updated with this update or just our OS?

Not really what I was asking lol.. I know their whole scheming procedure to get you to update just curious to know if touchwiz was not updated or not. They don't need to give us note 3 features just to revamp how ours looks. Also I don't flash nor want to void my warranty.

...If you flash to a different carrier your 4g LTE will NEVER work. If you want 4g you're going to need to buy a phone from the carrier you want LTE on. The hot spot will work if you flash a deodexed ROM and apply the native hot spot hack. Flashing to a different carrier will do nothing to help any of the issues you mentioned. I have Boost on my Note 2 and LOVE it. Can't beat unlimited talk/text/3g on a phone they don't even offer for $35 a month. Eat it Sprint.

Downgrade 4.3 to 4.2.2

How do I downgrade 4.3 to 4.2.2? 4.3 has alot of problems, wifi keeps dropping. I am using Rochester Institute of Technologys internet. How would I do that?
Thanks

I don't think you can due to knox.
With the newer MK2 bootloader and knox people seem to report bricks when attepting.
You might want to root, flash the older modems and see if that makes a difference.
I ran a 4.3 custom rom with 4.2 modems and bootloader without issues for the most part.

You need to go to http://SamMobile.com and download the
official stock M919 MDL firmware for your phone.
After doing that go into recovery mode and do a factory reset.
Once that's done you need to Odin flash the stock MDL firmware.
After doing that your phone will be 4.2.2 stock.
It will need to be re-rooted if you want root access and you will also need
to flash the custom cwm/twrp recovery if you want.
Good luck!

As for your root problem, try asking this in the i9500 specific forum. Our devices are sufficiently different that what works for ours won't work for yours.
As far as downgrading, you're probably out of luck like every other S4 owner in existence.

You had my curiosity, but now you have my attention. Not knowing what exactly a bst is, I'd like to know how KNOX liked that. Did it downgrade everything; bootloader, modems, etc? Were you able to fix your WiFi?

yes it downgraded the bootloader, the modem didnt take though, the bst dongle is a phone service box. and it allowed the downgrade. i was able to get the wireless back after i upgraded to the next firmware version. i dont have the s4 any more but i wanted to try it because everyone said it could not be done. and i did it. with a service box.

I've been searching for this dongle but I think is only available for the i9500, not for the T-Mobile M919.

As far as I know, you need to upgrade to COD6, which is 5.0
Deodexed Version did not boot. Just gave it a try with no luck. Froze up at the Tmobile screen.

"Pure stock untouched" but, no Knox? I'm just wanting to make sure.
The pure stock with KNOX from yesterday is not allowing me SELinux mode changer to keep Permissive. Will Permissive stick on this?

Thanks! (I ran out of thanks button for the day) You the man!
Could I dirty flash this over stock COD6 from yesterday to get rid of KNOX? Or must I do clean install??
I usually do clean install. But, dirty seems like it may be safe in this instance . . . .
