I flashed stock ROM threw odin, U.K ver. is giving more battery life & also wifi speed is more stable than Same ver. of India,I don't understand if both version is MC3,why in performance huge difference?
Could it be because of difference in the modem?

Italy itv is for International note 2?actually my quation is not answered by any one,If Version is same why there is a huge different in performance?Samsung is updating their mobile of same version in different region in different time I know but different in performance level also?Calling this mobile as International is meaning less,if it is International then Warranty should cover Globally & Updates also should come at same time Globally.
I don't know what exactly happening same fw version same modem difference at performance.

Do they both have the same CSC version? That could be the reason in these changes.
CSC version should not make any difference in performance, it just makes some application available/hide depends on CSC you have. some time makes minor changes in UI but should not have any effect on performance if PDA(AP) is same
sometimes baseband can make difference, as baseband have best network setting for country for which it was made, flashing to different region it may affect performance.
but mostly it could be merely placebo.
Thanks Dr.Ketan,I am staying in Dubai so I can think like this way that U.K network settings are much closer to Dubai network Settings Compare to India, for me I observe about battery life more in U.K version specially when phone is Ideal it's conserve very less battery compare to Indian version.

Only Modem Separately you mean? No,I need to root for that?I am on stock Doctor,I want to root but there is plenty custom ROM with deferent opinion so confused.
No need to have root
Just extract latest UAE ROM file and you will find modem.bin
flash that modem.bin file with odin with 'Phone' tab instead of regularly 'PDA' tab.

Yes but I checked on sammobile and the one from India and UK share the same baseband, which is why I ended up with csc as a possible culprit.

I never seen UK and india sharing same baseband
what i know from hotfile is
UK have basband N7100XXDLK7
while india have baseband N7100DDDLK6
here 6 and 7 not a big issue but XX and DD is difference
N7100XXDLK7 - means 7th version of N0v12 built modem from europe (Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom)
N7100DDDLK6 - means 6th version of Nov12 built modem from Asia (India, srilanka, nepal, bangladesh)

sorry my bad, i just rechecked the downloaded hotfiles for both and youre right about the baseband being different.:good:
No problem, basically sammobile just mentions only pda and csc in zip
After extracting only we can see Baseband in tar.md5
That causes confusion

as what i've said before, DXLC1 contains csc, pda and modem tar specially made for countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam
CSC contains specific settings (network and internet settings) and also Modem
if you flashed DXLC1 instead of DDLC3, then you will have trouble connecting to your providers default vpn settings and along with the many problems that go along that line..
so in order to get internet on your phone you'll have to enter the APN manually

Hello,
I have a problem with my Galaxy Note II: often the screen never goes to standby, but it's still on. I activated the "standby smart" option, but the issue is present with the option disactivated too...
This problem does not always present, sometimes if I reboot the device standby works normally.
I am using the latest firmware available for my device: N7100XXALJ1.
You think is it a hardware or software problem?
you must upgrade your firmware. try xxlj3 which I'm using now. I'm also came from xxlj1

There isn't ALJ3 firmware for my ITV (Italian) phone. The latest is ALJ1, I found ALJ3 stock firmware on sammobile.com for UK and German device only...
It's better to wait for officiali Italian ALJ3 (or newer) or to flash the German firmware?

Hello guys first I would like to know if there is a 7105 specific forum, since there are so many 71xx variants it should be nice and easier to find related threads.
So for the real matter, I recently bought an international GN2 (Hong Kong version). I am new to android smartphones so my questions are: what are the base band and build number, and what they stand for and differ? On Kies what are pda, phone and csc (what they stand for)?
Which stock room can I flash, and what method can I safely use? Preferably an English room (since mine is Chinese by default and I will have to change it every time I reset the phone), and the latest stable android version.
My phone data is: GT-N7105, android 4.1.1, baseband n7105zhali5, build number jro03c.n7105zhalj4, pda lj4, phone li5, csc lj4 (tgy).
Sorry for being so noob.
Cheers

ROMs mentioned there are for n7105 only, and you can flash any of it. Those are listed ascending order from latest to older

Tnx man for the help!
You are saying is I think same rom
Each rom mentioned there have 2 tab in name
Like
N7105 ****ma8 N7105 *LHAma1 - country (carrier)
Here first block suggest rom version, first block last three letter usually known as build version rom like ma8 in above said example
Second block last three digit shows csc version like ma1 in above example
And three letter before that suggest country for rom
If it is lha as shown in above example that means it is from Hong Kong (LHA)
If you like to download one from Singapore, then get from one which is on top, that one will be latest.

GT-N7105 to the stock rom for AT&T in the US ?
I am new to android and have a question. I am trying to replace my custom rom on my GT-N7105 to the stock rom for AT&T in the US. But all I keep finding are international version Roms. Is there a US Version or am I supposed to use a international version ? I just figured out difference of N7100 (Non-LTE) and N7105 (LTE). Any help would be greatly appreciated here.

Baseband version is :I9082XXAMC4
Build Number : BALLIBOXER.I9082XXAMD6
Q: will this be a conflict? I have installed Custom Rom "gennxt I9082XXAMD6" thought it will also upgrade my firmware to amd6.
(but it runs smoothly thanks to balli)
Q: can i upgrade my baseband to AMD6 without reverting into stock rom again?
And please teach me how to do it.
thanks in advance
Baseband is not the firmware that is the modem. AMD6 is the firmware version and latest for Southeast Asia for which the baseband is AMC4. Do *#1234# on the dialler and after the supersu you will see fw version.

Agreed. That's why I stated clearly Southeast Asia. But since the poster has balliboxer ROM I think he should have AMC4 as baseband. In connection with this, one can always flash thru odin the modem file he wants.

Amd6 is launched on three different countries... That y baseband is different.. may be me and balli downloaded amd6 of different countries.. from the numbers I can conclude latest baseband is amd1 .. also one more doubt latest installed baseband can degraded to amc4.. because Indian firmware version base band also amd1..

No I don't think it will degrade. Indian baseband or modem happens to be latest number/letter but it is tailored for local providers. To use this baseband in Southeast Asia "might" cause problems there although I think it should not. I myself is using baseband AMC4 but I am in the Middle East without any problem--such as 3G,Wifi,etc associated with the modem .
Hi
i need some help
i got a Note 2 N7105, and a few weeks back i have flashed to a German DBT firmware 4.3, but now the 4.3 firmware is available for the UK EE EVR. and i ave flashed, but the csc in not right.
how can i change my mobile csc back to EVR (EE UK)?
because the firmware is already EVR
Please Help

If you flashed a stock rom with odin then the csc file should be included. Most of these are for 4.1.2 but i think they should work

the csc needs to be the same in the phone and in the firmware is that right?

The csc is just the carrier specific code ie bloatware etc. Apart from the odd app in playstore not working due to being region specific I don't think you'll have any issues. But Dr Ketan is the guru on all things note 2 if you have any problems

CSC Rules??
I just want to make sure of this...
I've just flashed a modified version of the Stock 4.3 (on my on GT-N7105) from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588787&highlight=modem
It works great, but it has a Singapore CSC, which messes with the USSD messages I receive when I do internet banking. Can I flash just the CSC from my stock South African 4.1.2 build?
And more generally, can you flash a CSC from one android build to another build? Does it have to match by Android version (so must I flash a 4.3 CSC to a 4.3 FW), or by phone (can I flash any Note2 CSC from any build)? What are the rules for CSC flashing?
