Does anyone have any opinions on the two? Which is better?
I prefer odin. Less hassle or worries of making a error.

Thats the only method that you should use OP. Its the best, safest, and i have read but please correct me other members that the no trip method has less of a chance of affecting the imei number when flashing stuff.

I'm new to all of this and I'm enjoying it a lot but I'm PA 2.53 and I've noticed that my 3g/4g/WiFi signals aren't very strong. I may be wrong but from what I've read modems seem to be able to help with that issue. If that is true which modem/s should i try out?
I've tried looking a thread that would answer this for me but ive had no luck. Please any pointers either a thread with this info or direct help would be great!

If you're asking if there is a zip that will deodex your current setup the answer is no.
If you would like to flash a full ROM that has already been deodexed, the link has been posted above.
There are quite a few great deodexed GB27 ROMs available in the Epic 4G Touch Android Development forum. I can't suggest any because I will not play favoritism toward any developer or their project. You need to decide for yourself what you want to run.
